Okay, Baddie Winkle, you are back in Hollywood. Right. Welcome. And I must say, your first dance in Hollywood was at the VMAs. I mean, seriously. That was great.
The, uh, VMAs, I had a lot of fun. Uh, I got to meet, you know, people and
Oh, look. So Not just people, you got to meet Miley Cyrus.
I did. One of your biggest fans. Right. It was really great. I enjoyed it and she did too. She's, uh, really young, uh, down-to-earth kid. I just love her. She's a little wild, but then she made, reinvented herself. I reinvented myself. You know, we had things in common.
You went through a rough patch. Yes. Some grief. Listen, I went through a breakup, I wrote a book. You went through grief and became Baddie Winkle. Talk about it. Talk about the transformation to this.
Right. Well, it's, um, I, you know, it was very hard. It's still very hard, you know. But this has helped me to have fun, look, you know, to the future instead of the past.
And so you went from not knowing anything about the internet, probably, to now having over a million Instagram followers.
I had no idea what I mean, I knew about, you know, the internet and I, you know, stuff, but I didn't know what Twitter was. I I had heard, you know, but I
You've kind of been out there in the Twitterverse, Instagramverse, social media world, over a year now, right?
Yeah, uh-huh.
How has your life changed in that small amount of time?
Oh my gosh, it's changed dramatically. I get to travel. I was just in New York last week. Here I am in in LA this week. I'm going to, uh, Atlanta next week. And then I'm going to Vegas. Oh no.
So I mean What are you doing in Vegas?
Uh, I don't know exactly what we're doing, but I will play the slots.
Is that your game?
It's my game.
Do you do dimes, nickels, pennies?
Of course. High roller.
Oh, wow. Okay, so you got a new agent, you're traveling the country, getting upgraded on flights, and you're making a music video.
Right, with Ty next week in Atlanta. And it's going to be a musical video. Uh, what I'm going to be doing, I have no clue, but I'm sure it'll be great. Because Ty is, you know, pretty good.
Yeah. Now, do you sing, do you dance?
Uh, I can't sing, but I do dance.
Okay. What kind of moves you got? You're 87, which is no secret. And you have to be the coolest grandmother kind of out there right now. Well, you're pretty badass if I can be so bold.
Yeah, I am. I am.
Where did that come from? That that spunk? Where did that come from?
I've always been kind of spunky. Kind of feisty.
You are feisty. You've been to frat parties.
Yes, I have.
Where there's lots of drinking and young boys. How did you wind up at a frat party?
So, um, my great-granddaughter knew, you know, her boyfriend and he was a fraternity brother. Yeah. So they kept inviting me to the party, but I I thought, well, I don't know if I want to go to a frat party. But I said, okay, I'll go with you. They were the nicest kids in this world. Uh, I had fun. I played, um, I think it's called, I don't remember what it's called.
Beer pong?
Yeah. I won.
Is this all you, like, you find this within yourself or you have help or you pretty much have created this persona now?
Uh, this is me.
Amazing.
You know, it's just me. Uh, I guess I've always felt this way and been this way. Yeah. Anyway, and I I I haven't changed all that much. I do crazy things. But
You keep saying that. I what kind of crazy stuff do you do, my friend?
But I I still, you know, I'm me.
Now, why do you think people have taken to you so much? What is it?
I don't know honestly. It's amazing. No, I'm this is wonderful. It's wonderful and it's amazing. I don't know why they love me so much, but I love them back.
You're now like the face of a clothing label.
Right, I want to be a a grandmother, uh, a great-grandmother. Got that. Uh, to all my kids out there. I want to be an inspiration for people that are older. My age. Yes. Let them get out there. I know they won't do what I do. That's fine if they want to. Yeah. Just do it.
Well, life is almost reinvented for you. So tell me kind of life lessons that you can take from all of this, from where you were to where you are right now, standing on Hollywood Boulevard. What kind of life lessons do you got?
Life lessons. Well, I think you have to live your life one day at a time, cuz cuz you don't ever know that you've got any other day. So you live one day at a time, and I I've always tried my best to be kind to everyone. Yeah. And, um, sometimes that don't happen, you know, but I try cuz I'm not an angel.
Okay, and you have a saying, stealing your man since 1928.
Uh, you know, I don't know how that happened because that was the year I was born. Yes. And so I guess I've been stealing your man since I was a baby. But I've never stolen anybody's man. I mean, you know.
I think you're too nice for that.
No, I wouldn't steal anybody's man. I wouldn't want anybody to steal my man if I had one.
Which you don't.
But I don't.
You don't. Okay. But now you're going all Hollywood, you're in LA, you're meeting tons of people. That's when they say it happens when you least expect it. When you're running around doing your thing, that's when you meet someone.
Oh, really? Yeah. You think it's going to happen to me?
Are you kidding? Absolutely.
You think he's going to be tall and handsome?
Would you like him to be?
Yes. Very tall and very handsome.
Tall, handsome, and also kind of rich.
Okay. He don't have to have millions or anything. Just one million is. Yeah. Yeah. Take off the S. Yeah, one million's fine. Yeah. And handsome. Yeah. And funny. Yeah.
I think we I think that'll happen.
Oh, you think so?
Yeah, let's put it out there.
It better be soon.
