Designer Brian Wood Brings His 'Panty Raiders' Line to L.A.

Posted on January 28, 2012 by YH STAFF

New York-based designer Brian Wood came to Los Angeles this week to set up a pop-up shop (that means, temporary) for his newest clothing line collection Panty Raiders. How could I not be curious with a name like that? What I found at the Melrose shop this past Thursday was a collection of T-shirts, tanks, hoodies, snap back hats, and varsity jackets graced with the collection's logo of the Oakland Raiders football team emblem with some panties over one of his eyes. Saucy basics. The shirts are all ultra-soft knits with hand printing, lending a vintage T vibe. The black jackets had appliqués on the backside with raw edges, embroidery, and pins on the front.

New on YHN! More Sundance Coverage Includes Natasha Bedingfield, Tommy Lee & deadmau5, and Director Carrie Preston!

YHN’s exclusive Sundance coverage continues, and three new segments today include the best of movies AND music!

First, the very lovely but very chilly singer Natasha Bedingfield makes the best of the freezing Utah weather as she talks with us about popping her Sundance cherry with a performance with John Forte! The British musician has very eclectic tastes, so her Collabo Wish List is quite a variety of artists! Stick around for a good-natured snowball fight, because why not, right?

Rihanna to Produce British Fashion Reality Show

Posted on January 27, 2012 by YH STAFF

Move over, Heidi Klum, there is another fashionista ready to make a splash on the TV fashion scene!

Music star Rihanna will be producing her own reality TV competition, dubbed the “British 'Project Runway'.” She may not be a designer, but her edgy fashion and style choices have earned her many fans and kudos. Let’s face it, she takes risks with her clothes, hair, tattoos, and shoes, and it works. After all, she is currently the face of Armani Jeans, and she has appeared on the cover of Vogue all before the age of 25.

The show will air on Sky Living HD and will focus on the search for the next big undiscove...

"O Say Can You See..." The 10 Best National Anthem Performances at the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is one of the most watched televised events for many reasons. Yes, there is that football game, but there is also expensive commercials, a halftime show, and, to kick off the evening, a performance of our National Anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner".

The timeless song has proven to be a challenge to many singers. Some struggle to remember the words and hitting the notes in the difficult melody. The key seems to be keeping it simple. The song is already powerful with the lyrics and tune; there is not need to go overboard.

Kelly Clarkson will be this year’s Super Bowl National Anthem singer, and people are already taking bets on how long...
