Hi. How are you? How are your pipes? Should we whisper? Should we whisper? What's that? Should we whisper?

Kristen Bell

No, I took a steroid. I'm fine.

Young Hollywood

How special is it to be a part of this event tonight?

Kristen Bell

Oh, I'm really honored to get to be a part of this. So I'm a huge fan of Stephanie Marl and and I love Leia, too, so.

Young Hollywood

How fun is tonight going to be for you?

Kristen Bell

So fun. Oh my God, I'm so excited. It's just so nice to get to remind ourselves in the midst of it all that it's Christmas time, even though it's 90 degrees out.

Music is such a huge part of the holidays. Also, something that I think a lot of people turn to in times of uncertainty. What do you think music's role is in bridging the space between us?

Kristen Bell

That's actually a great question. I think music has the ability to make you feel something without any words and and unite people when they're sick of talking. We have a saying in musical theater that you sing because you can't speak any longer, because your emotion is just too powerful and that's, you know, right now in particular, it would be great to use peaceful music for a little bit more unity. Music is one language that I think can bridge all gaps. We were in rehearsal the other day and my conductor turned to me and he said, boy, it's, it's nice to make some music after this week. So I think, I think that's a, that's a good start. I think that music helps. I think events like this help. I think remembering the things that we have in common that we ultimately all want to feel love and that we all want to feel like accepted and part of something. Music is the greatest thing that in my life, I feel like unifies everyone. So I love having the opportunity to sing today and watch some of these amazing performers and everyone come together to celebrate the happiest time of year.
