ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Dan + Shay

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, AKA Dan + Shay, are two of the best things to happen in country music. Their music has an original country sound with a twist, a cross between Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. It’s good fun and puts you in the best possible mood. Dan + Shay are currently signed to Warner Bros. and their first single “19 You + Me” was a great song for the summer in 2014, and their second single, “Show You Off”, was just as good as their first. Their album, Where It All Began, was released last April and was jam-packed with amazing tunes. A few of my favorites are “Can’t Say No” and “Somewhere Only We Know”. The entire album is incredible. Their harmonies are effortless. These two can do no wrong, period.

They also had an amazing performance this year with Nick Jonas at the ACM Awards, performing a mashup of Nick’s “Chains” and “Jealous” along with Dan + Shay’s single “Nothin’ Like You”. All of these songs are fan favorites and rightfully so.

Last month, the dynamic duo not only announced their Just the Right Kind of Crazy Tour but also that they are bringing along Kelsea Ballerini for the ride. How awesome is that? Check out these videos they made for each other to mark the occasion!

This duo is going to go far in country music and I can’t wait for their new album!
