What's the best way to choose a bathing suit that flatters your body type?

"Play up your assets." That's what stylista Nancy LeWinter tells me. Well not me, I'm a dude. She tells me to tell you ladies. "If you've got it going on top, wear metallic on the bodice and basic color on the rest."

Specifically, she recommends Metallic Colorblock or Metallic Criss-Cross styles, both by Roaman's and found at OneStopPlus.com, where Nancy is the editorial director. Girlfriend knows her stuff so thoroughly that she asks the questions and then gives me the answers!

"Baby got back?" she plays. "Go celeb retro forties with the Sarong Styles."

"Need to cover some curves? A bust enhancing swimdress is perfect to elongate the body, cover the thigh and hip area and enhance the bust."

"Some camouflage for the tummy? Get a virtual tummy tuck with the Skortsuit by Woman Within."

Boom! Like that.

Curious about color trends, I enquire. Bold is gold. "Metallics, Florals and Black & White are everywhere," Nancy says. "Orange, Hot Pink, Turquoise and Teal are the real standout colors."

She also says to remember your accessories. Chunky sandals, big straw hats to block the sun, maybe an anklet - or a Vita bracelet, and of course some fabulous shades.

While she's not giving up her clientele, "We love Adele, Beth Ditto, Jennifer Hudson and all the other full-figured divas who know how to play the fashion game," Nancy adds.
