Adam Scott

It was all of that. It was, it was very fun. Leslie Hedland uh wrote and directed it. She's uh very talented, very funny. And it was a it was a play before and I had seen the play a couple years ago and it was great. And um so yeah, I jumped at the chance.

Young Hollywood

I didn't know it was a play.

Adam Scott

Yeah, there you go. That's come out at the end of the day. Much, much different than than the um than the movie.

Young Hollywood

Oh, we said that would be yeah, that would be hard to portray in a play. Yes. Yeah. And I don't know what age limit they'd put on it. What age rating? Yeah. Yes. Sir, I would

Adam Scott

You get us there in two minutes. I I I think we might be meant for each other. And I'm not kidding. This guy

Young Hollywood

Yeah, the play was was just as filthy as the as the movie is.

Adam Scott

Okay. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

I'll have to go and see it next time around. I brought my kids.

Adam Scott

Great. It was great. Well you should. I think kids should see that at a young age. They'd love it.

Young Hollywood

Talking about fun though, did you have fun on set cuz the girls were a great laugh and they were saying how much fun the girls had?

Adam Scott

Yeah, I did not.

Young Hollywood

You did not?

Adam Scott

No. No, it was

Young Hollywood

Well, it tends it tends to be that way. The girls stick together.

Adam Scott

Yeah, they didn't um

Young Hollywood

They didn't involve you?

Adam Scott

No, I could tell they were having fun, Right. but I was not.

Young Hollywood

Did you think to talk to them about it?

Adam Scott

No, no, no. No.

Young Hollywood

Why is that?

Adam Scott

They I don't Should the whole girl power thing, isn't it?

Young Hollywood

Yeah. I deal with it every day. Yeah. It's difficult to talk to them. Right.

Adam Scott

I find them frightening. And uh

Young Hollywood

Women in general?

Adam Scott

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Right. We could talk. We could talk about this afterwards. Okay. Maybe there's something. Are you? You're not a woman.

Adam Scott

I am.

Young Hollywood

You're a woman?

Adam Scott

Yeah. I'm that too.

Young Hollywood

Okay, so this is what's happening. I just died.

Adam Scott

Yeah. You died and went to Young Hollywood heaven. So, for eternity, I'm going to be doing just this interview. You th okay, it's hell.

Young Hollywood

Um It could be way worse. Seriously? Yeah, thank you. I'll take that as a compliment. Um, you were in New York filming.

Adam Scott

Yes.

Young Hollywood

Um, that was enjoyable at least, maybe?

Adam Scott

It was, it was great. Lizzy and I have been friends for a long time and uh yeah, it was really fun. We just, you know, were filmed a lot of night shoots, right? It was a lot of that. Um, and I was shooting Parks and Recreation at the same time. So I was just coming back for like little two-day stints. It was really fun. And everyone's really uh good-looking, great-looking and really friendly.

Young Hollywood

Well, you should. Everyone?

Adam Scott

The women and the men, everyone, it's a great-looking cast. Yeah, James Marsden is incredibly good-looking.

Young Hollywood

I don't like him to I don't like him.

Adam Scott

I don't like him either.

Young Hollywood

I don't like him. They can stay well away from me. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You did mention on Jimmy Fallon once you feel when you're working with Megan Fox, you felt like you were covered in diarrhea. I did. Because was it a similar feeling on this? This set?

Adam Scott

Yeah. I I pretty much felt like I was covered in something whenever I was around. We walking down, you know, James Marsden looks incredible. It's like working with a supermodel in a way. Like I kept leaning in and almost making out with him. Which, which happened in a straight way when they're that beautiful. Yeah, it's fine. He's he's a beautiful-looking man.

Young Hollywood

I know how you feel though, cuz I get people on the sofa and it's like, I'm, you know, if someone great-looking I'm sitting next to them. I feel like Yoda or something. It's just horrible.

Adam Scott

What's Yoda?

Young Hollywood

Yoda. You know, a little green alien, weird guy. That's how I feel. I feel inferior to this to the human man that's sitting next to me. You're good-looking. I kind of feel that at the moment. You're handsome.

Adam Scott

Oh, thank you very much.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, you're great.

Adam Scott

Yeah, you're great.

Young Hollywood

Thank you. And I've talked about you on the sofa before.

Adam Scott

Yes.

Young Hollywood

With Rachel Bilson.

Adam Scott

Oh, yeah.

Young Hollywood

When you'd done the Old Funny or Die video, that was very good.

Adam Scott

Yeah, thanks.

Young Hollywood

Very good when you were caressing her hairy chest. She was really funny in that. You were very funny.

Adam Scott

Oh, thanks.

Young Hollywood

That was your first outing with a woman with a hairy chest, right?

Adam Scott

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Okay.

Adam Scott

Yeah, but not the last.

Young Hollywood

Not the last. Well, I'm still searching for it. Yes. I haven't come across it, but I'm sure I will.

Adam Scott

Oh, I I can give you a couple of phone numbers.

Young Hollywood

Brilliant. See? I'll be helping you with talking to women. Mhm. You'll help me with the phone numbers for hairy chest.

Adam Scott

I can hook you up with some hairy ladies.

Young Hollywood

I love that. Adam, I knew something would come from this. There we go. And it has. And it's brilliant. And it's brilliant. But we were also talking, you can get Bachelorette on demand.

Adam Scott

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

And on iTunes. You don't have to wait for the movie theaters.

Adam Scott

Yeah, it comes out in the movie theaters September 7th. That's it. Yes, that's it. But right now you can get it um in a variety of ways. Right. You can get it injected directly into your bloodstream as well. I don't know if you knew.

Young Hollywood

Where do you get that done?

Adam Scott

You have to drive to my house and I have this whole contraption set up where I can put it in your bloodstream. I can put the movie inside of your blood.

Young Hollywood

That's amazing.

Adam Scott

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

You're really talented.

Adam Scott

It has nothing to do with talent. It's totally it's just science.

Young Hollywood

You are funny.

Adam Scott

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

Do you it's comedy that you can't teach. Comedy that you can't teach. It's really Could you teach me comedy right now?

Adam Scott

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Go on then. Make me funny, Adam.

Adam Scott

Okay. Uh, pick that decorative vase up. Um,

Young Hollywood

It's quite heavy, actually. Now, let's do the non-funny version of it. Just tell me where you're from. I'm from South of England. South of England. Yes. What's the name of the town? Hastings. Okay, see that wasn't funny. Okay. Um, if you want to be funny, Okay. you just scream, "Go fuck yourself!" and throw it at the camera.

Adam Scott

Can I? Everyone's laughing.

Young Hollywood

Can I? Go fuck yourself! No, we're with All right, well I'll have been funnier if you did it. I enjoyed it. Okay. I feel good. Okay, good. Yeah, it was good. Good. You have you ever been a therapist? Cuz I I just felt like enlightened. Yeah. That's my enlightened. I think now you're going to achieve anything you want. You're amazing. Thank you. Brilliant.
