Well, thank you. What a lovely introduction. Did you like that? My evil laugh. It's it's actually disturbing on several levels. How's your evil laugh, by the way?

I have several evil laughs. Okay. I mean, it's not the it's like it's not the muahah like, "That isn't evil. It's more like..." It's yeah, you see? That that face.

So, how evil are you?

Well, that's the question. You'll find out on the show. I mean, my brain works completely different than most people's brains. What if they find something truly horrendous? What if my urge to make extreme and horrific films masks some deeper and more terrible urge to do harm to others? What if all of us, under the right circumstances, are capable of committing the most horrible acts?

So, have you become desensitized to it all, doing all the horror movies that you do?

No, I'm actually more sensitive to it. Really? My brain really, really reacts so strongly to violence that I almost can't even process it. And that that was my theory. My dad was a psychiatrist and professor at Harvard. Yes, like psychiatrist. I was every time we had breakfast, my dad would be talking and then I'd be like, "Dad, there's this girl and she seems like she really likes me. She wants to go," and then like she totally ignores me. He'd be like, "Well, what's her relationship with her father?" My parents were amazing. They took me to see R-rated movies all the time and when I was when I was a kid, I was a little little butterball. I was such a little fatty.

Now that you've brought up being a butterball, you know I have to bring up. Yes. Please. The men's health and fitness.

Yeah. Being voted Most Fit Director. Now, that was 100% manipulated with a guy I knew from college who called me up like seven or eight years ago. And he's like, "Hey, after I write this article for Men's Health, I have to pick the 25 most fit professionals. Can I just put you as Most Fit Director?" And so I put it on my IMDb page and my Wikipedia to see how many other directors it would piss off, and it completely worked. Because I saw Oh, they would up in arms. Because no, I saw Rich Kelly who did Donnie Darko and he's jacked. Like totally no body fat. Like totally ripped up. I'm like, "What the hell have you been doing?" He's like, "I'm going to take your title this year." Tarantino was like in really good shape. I'm like, "Hey man, you look great." He's like, "Yeah, well maybe I'm going to be the Most Fit Director this year." So it totally worked. It's like all these guys with these accolades and their Oscars and their hit movies, they just want to be the Most Fit Director.

You said the sign of a good horror movie is if you vomit after you watch it.

Oh yeah. I was a puker as a kid. I was a huge puker. And that for me is really that's like winning the Oscar, like the Falberg award, like the highest five-star review that you can give a horror movie is, "I couldn't watch it," or, "I threw up."

No. And I always used to stay at this old hotel, Mohonk Mountain House, and several times, I'd be in a hallway and all the doors slam. That's happened to me before, but I've never actually seen a ghost.

T. B. Baty, what are your what is your favorite film of all time?

It's really hard to say. It changes. I mean, I love everything from Yellow Submarine and Willy Wonka to The Shining and Pieces and Cannibal Holocaust.

I don't know. There there is no there's nothing you can say a rainstorm makes it scary. It's all, you know, I think The Grudge was a really good example of just kind of a mundane apartment and afternoon and a kid going and a cat and like it's the scariest thing ever.
