Hi, I'm Autumn Reeser from Last Resort.
Yes, and she's talking about submarines and my fear of them, and sharks, and all kinds of stuff including turtles. To floss. I'm here with the lovely Autumn Reeser. How are you?
Hello. Good.
It's good to have you back again.
It's nice to be back.
Because you're such a lovely, bubbly character. It's nice.
So are you.
Thank you. Oh, you're brilliant. So gorgeous. See, look, the anxiousness has gone now. You just talked about LA traffic.
Yes, sitting in traffic for like an hour and a half after yoga. When you, you thought you would, you know, I was in a place of zen. And then I was in LA traffic, which is not a zen place.
Right. Um, Last Resort, Kylie Sinclair. It's a quite an amazing show.
Yeah, Last Resort is a fantastic show. It's, um, it's a political thriller, sort of, romantic epic. Submarine. In a submarine. Yeah. Yeah. That's so cool. It's really, it's just fantastic. The writing is so great and, um, I'm so thrilled to be a part of it. It's, it's, um,
Um, and, uh, you're a weapon sales person.
Yes, Kylie, my character is a lobbyist for her family's weapons manufacturing company in Washington D. C.
Right, naughty family.
Yes. They're, yeah, exactly. They're, they're a little sketchy.
Admiral Shepherd. I think you'll want to talk to me. It's about the Colorado, sir. Do I know you? Kylie Sinclair from Sinclair Dynatronic. We had a prototype on board the Colorado. I'm sorry about your daughter, sir. We've been attacked. We're at Defcon Two and you want to talk about your toy? We both know the Pakistanis didn't sink her. No matter what, you're telling the American people. What? It took me a year to get my system on the Colorado and I am not going to wait another year. So if you want me to keep quiet, you put my equipment on the next boat that goes out. But then your character changes because you start to
Right, Kylie sort of ends up getting drawn into sort of doing the right thing and kind of despite herself and, um, standing up for truth and, um, you know, it's an exciting journey.
You, you're not on the submarine, are you?
No. Thank goodness.
At any point will you get on the submarine?
I hope not.
Cuz that would be a tough way to get on it, wouldn't it? Cuz I guess it's underwater. I'd have to like dive down there. Are you a diver? So you're not?
No. No, this is all, like you realize like my, okay, so my childhood nightmare involved the submarine ride at Disneyland. Like that is my recurring nightmare.
See, I used to have a dream about, I would love to be on a submarine. Seriously? Yeah. I really would. Yeah. To laugh at the sharks, cuz I hate sharks and I just imagine being in a submarine being so much more powerful and being going, haha, shark. Um, talking about sharks, there's sharks in Hawaii, which is where you were saying you spend half the time now or more than half the time.
Yeah. Me and the sharks in the water.
Yeah. In the water. Yeah. Hawaii and LA, where did it all go wrong?
No, it's amazing living in Hawaii. I actually spent time in the water with the turtles. I'm seeing a lot of turtles.
So you do get in the actual ocean.
Yes.
Braver than me.
It's, you know, it's so warm. You can't help it. You can't live in Hawaii and not go in the ocean. It's amazing.
Okay. I, I'd be able to do it. I'll stick to a nice little swimming pool. And now you've got this online magazine, Move Lifestyle coming out as well.
Yeah, it's chaos.
Yeah, why, why, why do you do all these things? Relax.
I was exploring that exact same thing with my therapist yesterday. It's an excellent question. Um, no, I've just, you know, a little bit overly enthusiastic sometimes, I think.
Okay. That's good though.
Yeah. And I'm really excited about the, the magazine online. I just, I love the blogging world. I think it's given voice to a lot of women who, who didn't have their stories being told for a long time and, um,
So it's not really aimed at me.
No.
I was hoping to get some good tips for this.
You can totally read it though.
Can I? Yeah. And what will I get from it? Will I learn how to treat women?
You will get some amazing style tips.
Give me some now.
So, I mean, you know, actually, I think you look pretty great. I don't know. Look at your bracelets. Says all the right things. We've got, you're already British, so you already have that.
I love it. And this is why I enjoy her coming back. Um, right, here's a little thing, right? It's called, here's a series of trends and situations and you've got to tell us if they get your seal of approval as girl on the go or oh no. Do you like that? You ready?
I love coming here. There's always something fun.
Yeah. Not just me. There's more things. Okay, carrying your dog in your purse.
This, no. Oh no.
No. I'm glad you've said that cuz a lot of women would say girl on the go.
No, there was a girl in the elevator here when I came up with her dog in her purse, not even kidding.
Okay, we've moved on. Wearing sneakers to work and bringing your heels in your bag.
Awesome. Girl on the go.
Girl on the go. Hit that, hit that at any moment. Girl on the go or oh no. Wearing sunglasses indoors.
Oh no.
I, I couldn't agree more. I always say, if you're not famous, you shouldn't wear sunglasses indoors. If you are famous, you shouldn't wear sunglasses indoors.
Yeah, exactly. I was like, even then, not appropriate. Not appropriate.
Now, this is a bit weird for me. Fanny packs.
Oh. Tough.
Fanny packs means something totally different in England. But we'll go with it now. Fanny packs.
I think, I think I'm gonna go with oh no. Like I mean, I think growing up in the eighties, I mean, I think it's just, they've always got a bit of a not gonna be cool factor even if, you know, Tommy Hilfiger's the one making them cool now.
Okay. No shout out to Tommy there. Putting your kids on a leash. Or kid on a leash.
Oh no. But it happens. I know, yeah, it was, no.
Okay. Running errands with curlers in your hair.
No, no. Oh no. No.
Okay. Wearing gym clothes when you aren't going to actually work out.
Girl on the go. I think that I think that's okay, you know, cuz especially if you have kids.
Right. Um, talking on your Bluetooth while exercising.
No, no. Let's, let's stop with the, like obsessive multitasking. Okay. Just work out.
Flossing your teeth while driving.
No, no. That's not legal. No. No. Oh no. Oh no.
Well, that's some good tips there from Autumn. That was great. Do you floss your teeth though? See, I don't floss my teeth. Just said that out loud. I don't. Just, I, I just don't like it. The string and stuff. That's my tip for you. Don't floss your teeth. Coming from a British guy. Autumn, thank you for coming in again. You are lovely. Um, Last Resort, go watch it. ABC, Thursdays, right?
Thursdays.
Thursdays. Tune in for Autumn. Forget about everyone else. Just her. Brilliant.
