Agent Ravina, Mission Young Hollywood. Target, Naomi Harris. Naomi Harris. How are you?
I'm very good.
You're just asking where my guns were.
Yeah, well you said the suit is tight. So, I need to see them. Look at it. Snug. To us.
Okay, that's very good. Are you going to that show by the way, after this?
I am, yeah.
Brittania. No, the gun show.
Oh no, sorry. I didn't even know there was a gun show.
There is now. And are you starring in it?
Yeah, definitely.
And talking about guns, James Bond, Skyfall. You are a Bond girl.
I am. Which is phenomenal. Amazing. I never thought I was going to be a Bond girl myself. I can't believe it.
Well, well, you are.
I never thought it would happen. Positive thinking. You've got to think positively, though. Where will I go next? What's going to happen next to me? It's a surprise. What do you reckon? Marriage?
Marriage? That's maybe.
Oh no, I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
All right, well, what if we set the mood a little bit? What if we set the mood a little bit? A little drink for you? Apple cider. Oh my gosh. Apple cider?
Apple cider. Yes. Yeah. I'm down for that. Times are tough. Absolutely. Did you know that I don't drink? Is that why you got me apple cider instead?
Yeah. Well, I thought we'd start a healthy life together. Maybe you're supposed to start. You're supposed to give that to me. No. That's how it goes. You pour and then that's it. Mum. Where were the tits when I was growing up? My dad always used to pour me a drink. Him himself a drink first. How is that for you, darling?
It's really good. Yeah. Is that right? Is that right? That's apple tize, isn't it? We are supposed to clink actually, sorry. Oh, you didn't, did you? Sorry. Sorry. Cheers to us. Cheers to us. To us. There you go. See? For the ma- I'm breaking her. See? Yes.
And uh, why we're on a why we're on a high note, Oh my gosh. Oh, these surprises. Wow! For you. Just saying, you know, Daniel Craig talked a big game. Didn't see any flowers in the movie. That's really romantic. You're welcome. Or I just wanted to, you know, show people that maybe I've got what it takes to be James Bond. Slim suit, fitted suit, guns. Okay. But what about your gun skills? Because you need to actually handle the gun. Can you do that?
Oh, I didn't know about that. No. Yeah. I didn't know about that, though. Oh gosh.
Hey, your woman is very beautiful. Where's my money? Sorry, hang on two seconds. My woman. Wow! Oh my gosh. Stop the press. I think you've got to be the next Bond. Oh my gosh. Wow, and the way you did that as well. If you could just raise your eyebrows, then you've definitely got the role. Just one of them. And then a pout as well. You've got to pout.
A pout? That's yeah, that's what we need. I can do the James Bond pout. All right. Ready? Relax. What? The pout! You show me. I can't do this pout thing. I didn't see that in Skyfall. But I did see you with guns. Which was very impressive.
Thank you.
Yeah. Really good gun skills. Yeah. Scary in fact. It's not clean. Repeat, I do not have a clean shot. There are tunnel ahead. I'm going to lose them. Can you get into a better position? Negative. There's no time. Take the shot. I say, "Take the shot." I can't, I mean it. Take the bloody shot. Was it scary when you first- Was that your the first gun that you've ever picked up?
No, I actually I did guns in uh Miami Vice.
Not school. I thought you were going to say school. We have guns in school.
No, no, no, no. I was in film school, I was clearing up.
What was your favorite gun that you used?
My favorite gun was the Walther PPK. I liked that.
A Walther PPK. Sounds like a character out of a Disney movie or something.
I know it's pretty cool.
And how how was the process in becoming a Bond girl? It must have been really exciting when you first found out. You auditioned for it, obviously. I would have give you the part straight away.
Thank you.
Bond girl.
Yes, Bond girl, yeah. Well, actually to be quite honest with you, I never thought it was a possibility. So, I thought it was a joke in the beginning. I really did think that someone was having a laugh. Because I know they auditioned all around the world, hundreds of girls. And then um, the third audition, they said it's down between you and two others. And I was like, "Really?"
And then did you get really nervous?
Then I got really nervous. Before that, I was just messing around.
And where were you when you found out that you were a Bond girl?
Oh gosh. I was in um, Washington. As I was making that movie, I think I came here. Was that the first grader that I came and did that. Yeah, that was like a year ago. That was a while ago now. Yeah. Exactly. So, um, I was promoting that movie in Washington, and I got a call and they said to me, "You can't tell anybody." Which was so awful because I was so excited. I wanted to run around telling absolutely everybody.
Oh, that's never happened to me, but I would be useless. Yeah. I'd have to I'd be walking around and just be like, "I'll have a uh, skinny cappuccino please." Bond girl! Oh gosh. Burst out. I wouldn't be able to hold it back. And then how did you prepare to become a like was it did you do a lot of research? Watching an old Bond girl?
You know, I I actually I met a former MI6 agent. Sat down and got to interview him. And he said that I would make a very good agent.
Wow.
Yeah. Number one, no one would suspect that I was an MI6 agent. Which is good.
That's true.
And then also he said you have the ability to make people say more than they should, which is a precise skill that they want. If I said more than I should. That's normally the case. You always. I always say more than I should. That's in fact a skill I have. I'll take it away with me anyway.
Was it amazing working with Daniel Craig?
Yeah, it was. It was really amazing. He is like incredible. And also, you know, it's intimidating. It is nerve-racking, honestly. Like it's a huge franchise and it's so exciting for so many people. So, you feel all this pressure. And then you need someone like Daniel who just kind of holds your hand and puts it all in perspective. Makes you laugh, you know? Sends himself up and just makes you have a really great time.
It sounds it does sound something that I I could do it. You could do it, you reckon? You really reckon, though? No, no. No, seriously. Naomi Harris, thank you for coming in Skyfall. You are amazing. You're a Bond girl. This is really amazing for you, and I'm really happy for you. So lovely. So, what's Skyfall? I mean, why wouldn't you? What are you thinking if you weren't going to?
