How did you spend your 21st? Uh, my 21st birthday Assuming you're over 21.

Yes, I am over 21, 21, 21. So you can drink alcohol. Uh, I, uh, I actually had it on a rooftop in New York City. I was doing a play there and I had the whole cast up on my rooftop and uh, nobody died, which is great.

That's fantastic.

It actually was super dangerous now that I think about it. It's a good thing nobody died because how you have to get up to the roof is like you have to climb this ladder, which is not very difficult going up. But going down. It's climbing back down. Is pretty because there's kind of this blind little like swing of the leg that you kind of gotta do. And you figure obviously people are way drunker when they're coming down than when they're going up. So yeah, it it turned out great.

So 21 and Over, first of all, I want to talk about this. Make the writers of The Hangover

Wrote this film. So just to sort of pre-empt this interview, Okay. We're going to have the viewers at home play a little game. Anytime the word 21 is said in this interview, You have to drink water.

Yeah. Yes, stay hydrated, guys. Just stay hydrated. But if they're under 21, it's got to be juice or something like that. Right. So it's either water if they're over 21, or juice if they're under 21.

Exactly. Exactly. That's the new law, that's it. And you've already said 21 twice and I just said it so there's three.

Oh my god. So they're already wasted. They're going to be so hydrated.

Tell me a little bit about the debauchery or whatever is going on. Is it crazier than The Hangover? How how would you scale it? How are we going to get him down? We're going to throw him off. What? No. I've done this a thousand times. You have? Oh my god. Did we just kill Jeff Chang?

I wouldn't say it's crazier than The Hangover because it's a hilarious comedy, but it also has like a really big heart. It starts with two friends coming up to just visit their buddy for his 21st birthday.

And you're a friend.

Yes. I'm a friend. Yes. Uh, that's my character's name, a friend. Yes. And uh, and we go to visit our buddy for his 21st birthday. Turns out that he actually can't go out. He's got like his career defining interview the following day. So we make this little thing like, listen, let's go out for one drink. Just as like toast to you and then we'll we'll head out. And one drink, that's where the debauchery and the mayhem ensues. And that's where it all takes

So there's there are no tigers. Are there tigers involved?

Um, there might or might not be a buffalo involved.

Wow. They're upping the ante on this one. Okay.

Yeah. They went yeah, they went uh, they went to a different animal.

I read something about when you do karaoke, you know where I'm going with this one now. Starts as the Beastie Boys, ends up as Celine Dion.

Is that what I said? I mean, I'm pretty I take myself really seriously in interview, so that must have been like cuz that's definitely something.

Maybe you were drunk. Well, what is what is this sort of the norm? Are you a are you that guy?

Listen, the thing is that I think it's very awkward. If someone gets up there and starts really digging into a ballad. It's just like, what are you doing? You're supposed to suck. You need to be off key. You need to suck. So I try to do something violent or weird like Beastie Boys or like forgot about Dre or something like that. You throw a little rap in there. Just yeah, yeah. And then Celine Dion was probably the joke. I was probably making a joke.
