RJ here, hanging out at the Young Hollywood headquarters at the Four Seasons. Doing things a little different today. We're here in the restaurant Kalina with Uber Super chef. Like I don't even know what I'm going to call you.
Guy Fieri.
Uber super, I like that.
I like that. Cuz you're not just a chef. Like you're like, you see you everywhere now. I am totally tripping on what has happened. You're the first cool chef. I mean, you see and they're usually like and you got like the shades like the bleach blonde, the spiky hair.
You know, I'm just a different stepper, a new stepper or a, you know, a new facet to what's going on in the chef world. You know, I wasn't always a bleach blonde and tattoos and so forth. This is just evolved it.
Oh, when you became famous, did you start doing this stuff?
I said, no, I always acted this way. I just now back it up. Currently I have three shows on the Food Network and a new show on NBC called Minute to Win It. And yeah, man, I'm standing here just like you were saying, what happened to me? Just out of nowhere? It's a movie.
Now, we're always hearing about like these amazing dishes you make, but I know you've got to have a faux pas in the kitchen at some point. Something you thought that like would be great but it was a weird concoction and it just didn't work. What did you try?
Brother, it ain't a faux pas. It's faux pas. Oh yeah. It's it's part of the game. Um, to make creative food, to make new food. Uh if you're not making mistakes, you're not trying hard enough. And it's true. That's just life.
Now, you've taken the the cooking thing to another level cuz you got a new show now, Minute to Win It, which we were we were talking about a little bit earlier. Like, what's that transition like cuz you're not in the kitchen, you're not cooking, but you're still talking to millions of people every day on television.
The common denominator is people. So all I do is just be guy. The games are the games. I don't pick the games. I don't set the rules for the games.
Trunk in the trunk. I have a feeling you pick that one.
Well, come on. Now you expose me. People are shaking their head. You know, now you expose me. I picked that.
You told me earlier one of your favorite ones was the Ding Dong game. What is it? The the chocolate ding dong.
I told him what the name of it was and he just remembers ding dong.
I just remember chocolate ding dong. That's it.
It's chocolate ding dongs. It's called the chocolate unicorn. And it's a brand new one. The Game Wizards made up. But you you they the contestant has to put a ding dong, a chocolate, you know, hostess cupcake on their forehead and stack seven of them on their forehead, guiding them up in 60 seconds. It is hysterical.
Now you're taking the show to a whole new level. You're you're starting to add the celebrity factor. Kevin Jonas, who just won a boatload for charity. Your words. Boatload. The game begins in three, two, one. He has got to separate these 18. Six different colors. He has eight nuts on a chopstick that need to be stacked on top of each other. Okay. So this this he's got to keep both arms and legs moving. Eight Ping Pong balls. He's got two, he's got four out, five out. This dude took it, I mean, if we had a Minute to Win It Super Bowl, this guy was playing quarterback.
Minute to Win It Super Bowl. Which it might be.
I just got to talk about your style real quick.
Oh boy.
Is it yeah, oh boy. So, do you really think it through or it's coincidental? I'm looking at little details. Like we have knuckle sandwich.
Ironically enough, Knuckle Sandwiches my company. My buddies and I were sitting around, trying to think of a name of my chef company. Um and I'm sitting there and Dirty P goes, listen, why don't we think up the name and why don't you cook us something deep. I said, I'm going to cook you up a knuckle sandwich. That's the name of your company. Knuckle Sandwich.
A lot of people out there trying to make it, everyone out there Young Hollywood, you know, wants to take their game to another level. What advice someone that just wants to make a brand out of themselves? How does someone do it?
Mine was a real simple one. I was leaving to go next to do next Food Network star. And I remember my dad was was right there and uh I said, what do you got? He says, no matter what, stay who you are. And that's probably been the most tried and true thing in the world. And I I think that's probably the best advice is just uh be yourself. Bro, look where you are. Look what you guys are highlighting. Look at the behind the scenes because that's kind of what this is. It's a real cool, you know, true approach to getting the inside information of what's going on in in young celebrities and Hollywood.
It's true. We're all about the real deal and who better to do it than with the real deal himself. Guy Fieri. That. How did I know? I don't know that I've ever seen a bottle of water filled that much to the rim. That's a little crazy. Is that Seriously? Who fills water to that level? There's not a roofer in here, is there?
