There's not a braver man than Ken Chung. I mean, to emerge fully naked out of a trunk of a car and tackle Bradley Cooper. That takes real cajones. What's up guys, Nicki Novak here in the Young Hollywood studio with Community star Gillian Jacobs. How's it going?
Excellent. How are you?
Good. You just drove all the way from Santa Monica in the traffic. I'm sorry.
I don't think anyone's gonna pity me, so I'm not gonna complain but yes, I drove in some traffic today to get here but I'm very happy to be here.
I need to eat natural organic foods or I'm never gonna get rid of this hangover. Jeff, what you been? Back of life savers. Sorry, dead battery. The writers always come up with the most interesting plays on things. First of all, you look a lot like Michael Jackson, I just want to tell you.
Yeah, I have learned that over the course of this show that apparently I resemble Michael Jackson. I used to fight it and then they dressed me exactly like him with the wig and the hat and the aviators and even I had to admit I look just like Michael Jackson.
But you but they didn't think you looked like him before.
Yes, they did. Oh, yes, they did. That's where it came from is because every time I would wear aviator sunglasses, people would tell me that I looked like Michael Jackson.
Stop it.
And they would write me on Twitter and tell me that I looked like Michael Jackson. So that's where it came from.
Because you didn't want people to know that. They put it in an episode.
Of course. Yeah, I know. That's exactly what being on a comedy is all about all the things you're most insecure about. I can't sing. I can't dance and I look like Michael Jackson and all three things have been featured on the show. I don't need therapy.
Well, that's a perfectly normal response. I concur with Dr. Heidi's diagnosis. I haven't diagnosed anything yet. Psych major, got your back, bro. I have to say I didn't expect to see so many of you. I think what stands out about this show, too, is other shows, it's like the the couple that are they or aren't they? Yeah. Again, community feeling. Anybody could really hook up on this show.
I love that about our show. It could be anybody. I had an episode, uh, where it looked like there was some tension with me and Ken Jung. I mean, it could be any one of us paired with any other member of the study group.
We know him too from Yes. The Hangover.
I know. There's not a braver man than Ken Chung. I mean, to emerge fully naked out of a trunk of a car and tackle Bradley Cooper, that takes real cajones.
So I'm gonna ask you a really pressing question.
Okay. Are you ready?
Yes. There was a Subway episode. Yes. Where there was a Subway sandwich shop opened up in the college. There was a character named Subway. Yeah. You know how celebrities have like a sandwich named after them?
Uh-huh.
Like the Larry King or the whatever? Yeah. What would be your sandwich? What would be in your sandwich?
I've never been asked this question. I'm not surprised. Um I would really enjoy a sandwich that consisted maybe of prosciutto, arugula and mozzarella or brie cheese, granny Smith apple, uh, chicken breast on a baguette.
So I heard something about Judge Judy in your trailer?
Oh, yes. Yes, I have watched some Judge Judy in my trailer. I have watched, uh, every basically I've revisited every soap that I used to watch in high school. I've now seen it 10 years, however many years later. Uh, the thing about soap operas is it's the same actors and nothing has happened. So I knew exactly what was happening. They've all been married and divorced six times. To each other. They're all back to the original partners that I used to watch when I was little. Yeah. And um and I've watched a lot of courtroom TV.
So you know a lot about the law.
Sure. Sure. I do, as much as the plaintiffs and defendants on Judge Judy know about the law.
Well, thank you so much for coming in.
Thank you for having me.
Community fans, you know where to find her. On TV though.
Yeah. Please. Don't approach her on the street. No, no, you can say hello. Don't follow me home though.
