I love great haircuts, frisbees, and snowmobiles. Palm trees, they make me nervous. Put your couch on the street, let a bunch of cab drivers operate your cameras. Take the money you were going to spend on the show and buy drugs. Stay out of here. We don't want you here. No.
RJ here. We're hanging out at the Young Hollywood Studio with Amy Poller. Hello. What's up? How are you?
Hello. I'm good. I'm feeling young and feeling like I'm part of Hollywood.
That's good. So you got you got both elements. You're young and you're part of Hollywood. I like it. So we got to talk first the East Coast, West Coast thing. Because SNL, New York, now you're doing parks here in LA. Who you loving? Which side are you supporting?
Well, you're a West Coast guy, right?
Born and raised.
A lot of great stuff out here in the West Coast, but I'm an East Coast girl. I'm drift. Still love. Yeah, for sure. That's where I live. New York is my home. Just I have I've been away from it for a little while. And I grew up in Boston. There's some I don't know. I am I always something palm trees I don't know. They make me nervous.
Why? Why would a palm tree make you nervous? I want to hear this one.
Because it feels like I'm on vacation.
What's wrong with that? That's a good thing.
But I'm not. I'm working.
Young Hollywood definitely has to come East. Young Hollywood's working on you. We're going to do this whole same same setup. You're going to come hang out and you're going to like educate us when New York. Yeah. Since that's your town. I mean, this is our town. We know what to do here.
I know. What what what would I show you guys? What what would make it more New York? You guys should take this couch but just do it like on the street.
I like that. Put some graffiti on it. That's kind of a good angle. Graffiti the couch. What would the Young Hollywood New York studio look like? Put some real weird like LA graffiti on it. Um uh, what's that? What would the Young Hollywood New York studio look like?
It would look, okay. This is what I'm going to pitch you guys.
Let's hear it.
Um, put your couch on a street, um, let a bunch of um, uh, cab drivers operate your cameras. And um, take the money you were going to spend on the show and buy drugs.
So this Funnier or Die video we saw with your husband, how did you allow that to happen?
Wait, which one was that? Oh, there are a couple.
The With Will, the kissing scene with the other guy and you were there watching the whole thing.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. We did that together.
I know. That's what I'm saying.
Oh, yeah. Sorry. The um. Too many Funny or Die videos. I know. That's so sounds so douchey what I just said. Like, which one? Oh, hey. Hey. It's so good to see you. Yeah, you too, man. Yeah. Hi. I'm Amy. Sarah. And what was it like to actually watch that that whole interaction? It was super hot. Right? Turned you on? Mm.
What are three things that Amy Poller is loving right now? It could be fashion, it could be hot spots. What do you love?
I just love fashion, fashion, fashion. No. Not at all. Um, um, I love um, uh, great haircuts. Um, frisbees and um, snowmobiles.
I like it. Three things we we haven't read yet. What makes a great haircut?
Um, attitude.
If you were to have to sum up Amy Poller in just one word.
Oh my gosh. Juicy.
I like that. Thank you. Now explain because you can interpret juicy in a lot of a lot of different ways.
I can't I can't explain. I'm just I'm only here to deliver the message. It is what it is. You're going to have to figure it out. I can't go into detail. I've given you the word. What you do with it is up to you.
Everyone wants to break into comedy. You always hear different paths of doing it. And, you know, things are always changing, but what do you think is sort of someone out there that wants to
I say don't do it. I say there's just too many people already in it.
I agree. You don't want your job to be threatened.
No, there's not enough jobs and there's already too many funny people. So I would say don't do it. That's what I would say. I would say, stay out of here. We don't want you here. No. I would say, um, I would say, honestly, genuinely, um, be prepared to be broke for like 15 years. And if you can do that, if you can hang on for 10 years with no money while the rest of your friends buy houses and have babies, and you're and you can try to create your own stuff and you work with the right people, something will happen. Something good will happen.
So parks and recreation. Let's talk new season, new time slot. What what's it like?
Super happy to be back, super happy to be behind the office. Aziz and Nick Offerman and and Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt. Genius and Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe. I mean, it's
Well, it's all the names you're mentioning in one show. That's pretty heavy.
That is a heavy roster. That's a serious roster.
That is a serious roster. I agree. Amy Poller, Parks and Recreation. Check it out. Bye.
