Kenzie here at the Young Hollywood Studios with pretty little bad girl, Janel Parish. OMG, you're A. OMG. I mean, do you feel like a stud muffin because you are now like a pretty big deal.

It's it's so exciting. Um, since I found out I've been dying to tell everyone, my friends, my family and I haven't been able to tell anyone.

Not even little hints? Have you been hinting? Is there like a tweet or something that

Technically, I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. I may have told just, you know, a couple people like my family members.

Did your boyfriend know? Did your boyfriend know?

He did know.

That's awesome. Did you have a party last night?

Um, I did not have a party last night. I'm actually doing a musical. I'm doing Spring Awakening in LA, so I was actually at rehearsal. Um, but I did get to watch it with my folks earlier. Um, and it was really fun. And it's really rewarding to see, you know, um, the people that I wasn't able to tell. Um, once they finally watched it, they were really excited. So, it was fun. Yeah, it was.

Now, did you read the books?

I did read the books. I'm a huge fan.

And when you read the books and you were cast as Mona, did you think I'm A or did you think that they might change it around to mix it up for the TV show?

Um, definitely during the pilot, I asked the producers if they were going to go in that direction and uh they said that it could change. So, I definitely hoped that that's where they were going to go with it. And um the the um week before we filmed the finale, we got the script saying that I was A and it was so exciting. I officially knew that I was A a week before we filmed the finale, but I'd heard whispers that it might be me for a while. Um interesting about the book, um you actually die once the reveal happens. Yes. Thankfully, you're still here unless you've transferred over to Vampire Diaries. No. Um, I can announce that I've been made a series regular for season three. So, I will definitely be back. Um, I think she's got a lot of explaining to do. Yeah. But, um, my heart definitely stopped when I read the script and I read that I fell off a cliff. Um, because I thought they were going to kill me. Like they did in the books. And then I flipped the next page and it said I was alive and I was very thankful. Yeah.

If you had to go out, how would you want to go out?

Funny. I talked to Marlene King, one of our writers, and I said, Marlene, in the books, I die because I fall off a cliff. That's really lame. Like, I want to go out in a blaze of glory. So, maybe it could be a gunfight or something really hardcore. That totally goes with this with the whole fame of Pretty Little Liars. You know what I'm saying? Like, out of nowhere, just a just a big all like all out shootout and then I die, but I have my, you know, dignity. Yeah.

You play so many different faces and characters on the show. Do you have a favorite? I mean, you were a nerd that turned into like super hot most popular girl ever. Now you're kind of crazy.

My favorite is the nerdy Mona. Yeah. It's fun. And we like we love nerdy Mona. Yeah. And it it shows it shows, you know, her background where she's how she is the way that she is. Um, and a little bit of vulnerability and and I just think it's important to to show, you know, backstory. So, I love those scenes.

And we're gearing up for season three. Do you think she'll still be a roller coaster? And we might see new new sides of her? Are you hoping to stay crazy?

I think Mona has a lot of different sides that haven't even surfaced yet. So, I'm excited to explore that.

Do are you going to give us any hints as to what's to come? Do you know?

I know a little bit. I can tell you that season three will start six months after where we left the girls in the finale. Um, Mona has been at the Radley Sanatorium for the last six months. Yeah. She gets a mysterious visitor. We're going to explore that more. Um, and uh you'll learn more about the A team. Um, the Sanatorium sounds horrific. It was kind of terrifying. The set was terrifying, but it was really fun.
