Young Hollywood

I'm Oliver here at the Young Hollywood studio with this gorgeous girl next to me. Look at her stunning Lauren Conrad, how are you?

Lauren Conrad

I'm good, how are you?

Young Hollywood

I like that little that you just gave me. Oh, I love her. Um so you're here talking about your books, style, Lauren Conrad style. Talking about that style, how'd I do?

Lauren Conrad

You did nice.

Young Hollywood

Well you always have good style.

Lauren Conrad

Really?

Young Hollywood

Yeah.

Lauren Conrad

Thanks.

Young Hollywood

Cuz I was very nervous today.

Lauren Conrad

Really?

Young Hollywood

Yeah, just this whole like she's a fashion girl. I got to step it up cuz it's Lauren and this and that. I really was. Why are you laughing? No, because I actually genuinely was. I was going through my closet and I'm like, I can't mess up. I can't do an FFU. Is that it? FFU. Which stands for I don't know if I can say that word here. You couldn't we'd bleep it. Oh, it's a fashion. Wow. She just said that and we're not going to bleep it. just swore. What else is going on in your world? You've got your books. You've got this new show. We've got all these cameras around us now.

Lauren Conrad

I bring them around with me. Yeah, I have the new show and the focus of the new show is a new clothing line, a contemporary line I'm doing with a couple of my really good friends.

Young Hollywood

So you're in the fashion world.

Lauren Conrad

Yes.

Young Hollywood

And you're giving all these tips to people. Where do you get your like you don't go to experts. It's all just you and your friends that choose all.

Lauren Conrad

Well, I actually worked, I mean, I work with a few stylists. Um and Alister who I worked wrote the book with works at a fashion magazine. So, you know, a lot of it's mistakes I've learned, or I've learned by and things that I've learned along the way, but also consulting with people that do it for a living.

Young Hollywood

And did that inspire your recent hair change?

Lauren Conrad

Not really. I've been changing my hair over over the last like six months, like slowly been going darker. And the last time I did it people noticed.

Young Hollywood

Mm. It's quite a big jump. Are you worried about?

Lauren Conrad

Yeah, it is. I think. You know what? I think it's cuz I don't do red carpets that often. So, it's it seems more drastic, but day-to-day you like my roommates didn't even notice.

Young Hollywood

When you make changes like that, you worry? You think, oh, I'm not going to be Lauren. Blonde Lauren and you think, no, you don't. Just take it all in your stride.

Lauren Conrad

No. I mean, I change my hair like every two months, so I don't think it

Young Hollywood

You probably change your hair all the time.

Lauren Conrad

I do, yeah.

Young Hollywood

See? Yeah. And I wear wigs at weekends. Do you worry that you're not going to be Oliver? Blonde. Blond.

Lauren Conrad

No, I'll always be.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Always be that. Um do your friends get worried like when they go out and they're talking about fashion and they're like, oh we're going out with Lauren tonight. We got to step it up.

Lauren Conrad

No.

Young Hollywood

No. So I just got really worried. I don't impress my friends. I nearly wore these today. And I got told I couldn't wear where are my little jean shorts. Oh no. I nearly put these on.

Lauren Conrad

Well you going to, you should have.

Young Hollywood

No, I got told I couldn't. Do you think those are fantastic. Cuz I like them because there's air that can get in and they're very like summery.

Lauren Conrad

Yeah. I don't well, it's not really summer, so I don't know you'd have to wear them with like a stocking.

Young Hollywood

I'm going to just sit with them there now. Like that. So I'm kind of wearing them but kind of not.

Lauren Conrad

Yeah, kinda.

Young Hollywood

If I turned up on these today, what would you have said?

Lauren Conrad

I probably wouldn't have said anything.

Young Hollywood

Really?

Lauren Conrad

Yeah, because I think it takes takes a lot of courage to wear shorts like that. So.

Young Hollywood

So in fact, it would have been I would have said something after we left.

Lauren Conrad

What would you have said?

Young Hollywood

I would have said you look silly in your shorts. Okay. In that case. Um let's talk about your other book Sugar and Spice.

Lauren Conrad

Okay. Which is Sugar and Spice is my third novel. Yeah. And it was the final in a series I did that. Which is the reality. Yeah, it was kind of a you know, an insider's look to what goes on behind a reality show.

Young Hollywood

And that's all your input as well.

Lauren Conrad

Well, yeah, I wrote it.

Young Hollywood

So you're such a little busy bee, aren't you? You've got your fashion.

Lauren Conrad

Yeah, but if you do stuff that you love, it's not you don't feel busy, it's fun, you know.

Young Hollywood

Now New York Fashion Week. Um do you like all that little glamour bits, all the fashion stuff and all the Attending,

Lauren Conrad

it's fine. You can only do a few of the shows because it becomes work, because you know, you have to wear the designers, you do hair and makeup before and it's like a whole.

Young Hollywood

You're changing your hair all the time.

Lauren Conrad

I know it's complicated. Um so they're fun if you do a few of the shows. Actually, this upcoming New York Fashion Week, I'm hoping to show, which I've never done before. I've done LA Fashion Week before. So, that'll be exciting.

Young Hollywood

Well, if you need a model, just saying. Got the shorts. The jean shorts, shorts. All right. I'm just putting that out there. So what else is going on in your world? If you could do anything right now, what would it be? If I was a genie, and I could just go like that. What would you want to be doing?

Lauren Conrad

I don't think anything else. That's it. I think I'm good. I'm good right now.

Young Hollywood

Where would you want to be?

Lauren Conrad

Here.

Young Hollywood

Oh, that was really sweet. That was the moment right there. Did you see that? If I was a genie and she could be anywhere, she wants to be here. In that case, then I'm really happy and I'm going to wrap it up on a really, really positive note. Okay. That your dreams have come true. I mean a little bit. Basically. Okay.
