I'm so with you on that one cause they don't flush.

And with the me you really. Me, I really am. She is terrible. She's the worst driver. She's the worst ever. You can't have rims you can't have rims on the car.

That's because you got 90 inch rims on those monsters. We can't.

She gets tickets left and right.

I do, I just got my 13th ticket.

And she talks bad to cops.

We need one more cause that's a bad number. I know. It's your fault.

And I have the worst. She has the worst attitude with cops.

I do. It's terrible. People like just start crying. I'm like I can't. I automatically am angry when they when I see them. It's just bad.

But you guys have known each other since you were 12.

Yes. Since she was 12. I'm a little bit older. But yeah.

I was 8, oh wait. You're out of cradle, school. What? 12. 17.

We ended up playing for Golden State back in 2006. When the love started.

So how did you pop the question? I'm really going with this romance thing here.

First time around I uh we took a train ride through the hills of Napa on a friend's birthday and kind of had the whole train involved and surprised her at sunset.

He took me on the caboose of the train and he started to come down, but he had just like his knee was bothering him earlier. So I was like, oh my god, I was like his knee is giving out. I was like, and I was freaking out about his knee. I was like, please don't let it be the knee. I was like, oh my gosh. And then he popped the question.

And were you down on one knee?

Yes. Yeah.

You are slick. Fake an injury. There you go. So the Clippers you're on such a major winning streak. Won again last night. Biggest winning streak in Clippers history. And I know that you were quoted last night as saying like sort of the sky's the limit for you guys this season. How has it been for you playing on this team.

I think I it's it's been a dream come true. You know, originally I wanted to stay with the Lakers. And um you know, the situation there it just wasn't comfortable you know, for either parties I feel. And um I ended up going back to the Clippers where I started my career with. And uh you know, from the start, I just knew we had a very deep team. And um you know, Chris Paul kind of did some recruiting to get me over there. But once we got there, we just realized, you know, we really have 13 guys that can play.

I talked to Blake Griffin a couple months ago. And I did my vertical leap for him. So if you need another player. Yeah. Just let me know. They'd sign you up. Because it's pretty serious. It's actually really not.

If anybody goes down, we can sign you. Just let me know.

Yeah. I know you have a cookbook coming out.

I do.

So tell me a little bit about. So how how did that sort of come about?

Well, honestly, I didn't know I don't really.

I can tell. It's my true thing.

No honestly, I didn't know how to cook when we first started like dating at all.

I remember the first thing she cooked me one thing she was sick too. So I give her credit. We were in in the Bay Area and she tried to cook me salmon. I'm like, okay, but she brought the frozen salmon first of all. So I'm thinking to myself, okay, I don't want to burst her bubble like he got to kinda buy salmon fresh but we let that go. And she couldn't taste she was really sick. So I I love salt, but this girl had so much salt on the salmon. It was crunchy. Because she was sick and her defense. She couldn't taste. So I just kept, I'm like, uh-huh, I know, I know you like salt. So I took a bite and threw it in the garbage. I told her I love her and we have like and then we made a frozen pizza or something. Yeah. We ended up doing something. No, but she's great. She's come a long way. But she's she's really good at cooking now.

So you know, I just started kind of just playing around with it. I'm, you know, no like Wolfgang, but I definitely feel like, you know, from my progression is really been I think obviously really um you know, expanded. So it comes out, it's called a mixed girl's favorite recipes and it comes out next year.

And then you tweeted I wish Subway had a drive-through.

I you know, because I really try to be a healthy like eater sometimes. And so sometimes. Um and so I feel like if we if it just had a drive-through. I'm like I don't want to get out of the car. Don't let it be rainy. I'm like They make it convenient to eat bad. I think they should make it convenient to eat a little healthy.

So what's the go to sandwich?

I always do the turkey there.

What is the go to?

Mine is the chicken bacon ranch.

Oh nice.

Yes, without the ranch though. That's weird.

Without the ranch.

Yeah. I'm always like chicken bacon ranch. Hold the ranch. They're like, is that a joke? I'm like, no, no, seriously, hold the ranch.

You guys are quick you know your. So on top of the cooking and the basketball and everything else you're both really involved in philanthropic work.

Absolutely. Athletes versus Cancer. Yeah. We have a foundation. I lost my mom to cancer in 2007. Gloria and I sat down with the rest of my family and we wanted to do something just to give back, you know, to try to make sure people didn't go through that. So we started athletes versus Cancer in 2008. Our goal was to go to inner cities and provide free screening for people who can't afford it. Um pamphlets kind of feel that knowledge is power. So just letting people know about their body. My mom was a a teacher so she loved kids. We wanted to get more involved in the kids side.

And then for you Good Shepherd.

Yeah, Good Shepherd's really I mean, we just did a toy drive for them. We donated uh 300 toys. Um and you know, I think

Holy that's in the bloopers.

Absolutely. That's awesome. That was frightening. You know, Good Shepherd, we just did a toy drive for, we uh donated 300 toys. And um you know, it's for single women and homeless children. And I mean it's just it's something since we have kids. I couldn't even imagine, you know, going through the holidays and just being homeless in general. It really just hits home for us um you know, being so close to our kids.
