We've got our young Hollywood.
I'm here with N. Gary Rice.
Hi.
I like saying your name.
Thank you.
Am I pronouncing it correctly?
Yeah, you are. I'm quite impressed actually.
Thank you so much. Right. I don't know what accent just came out of my mouth but it's okay.
You're mimicking me.
I was trying to, but I don't know how successful I was at doing so. Well you look really good. You're killing it.
That's so cute.
The ruffles. It's a good time.
Thanks.
It looks like you're fashion like inspo. Emma Watson.
Emma Watson. She's pretty cool.
She's such a class act.
Yeah, yeah.
I kind of hate her because she's just so put together. She's, yeah, she's just so classy all of the time and very sophisticated.
Absolutely.
Yeah, I love it. So how's life? What's going on?
Life's good. I mean, I'm here in L. A. It's fun, it's exciting. I'm missing school. Um.
That's dope.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. So wait, you actually attend a school? Like a real school?
I do.
Shut up. How was that?
Um it's great, it's lots of fun, yeah.
How are the kids? Are they treating you, like, differently?
No.
Really?
No, yeah, my friends are all, like, really normal and they think it's, I mean, everyone thinks it's weird that I'm here and that I.
They think it's weird? They don't think it's cool, they think it's weird?
I mean, they think it's cool but it's like cool and weird at the same time.
Please tell me about this new movie that you're in.
Yes.
Every day, correct?
Yeah, yeah. So I'm in a film called Every Day. And it's about a, um, a soul called A who falls in love with a girl called Rhiannon, which is my character. And the soul wakes up in a different body every day. So it's about sort of their love story and how they overcome these obstacles.
That is the craziest thing. Like, the moment I found out that I was going to be talking with you, I looked up online and so many people like, oh my god, I'm so in love with it because it's, you know, it the overall theme is that it's not about the physical aspect of a person, it's about who they are as a whole. How has that affected you in your everyday life? Like, you know, I was 17 once. I crushed here and there.
Yeah, I mean it's, you know, I've learned a lot from, from this, from making this film. I think one of the main messages for me was just to, like, live in the present because, you know, the character, um, Rhiannon and A, all they have is like this very second. They don't have, you know, they don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. So I think, yeah, that, that message is so beautiful. Just like be in the present, live in the moment and, yeah, I really learned from that.
I love it. So I have to know, are you like crushing on anybody right now? Who's, like, Instagram feed are you, like, stalking? Don't lie to me.
Does my dog count?
Oh, good bye. Just your dog?
Yeah.
That's cute.
I, well, I have, I've created an Instagram account for my dog.
Wait, what kind of dog do you have?
So she's a kelpie whippet. So she.
What is that?
So a whippet is like a, um, a smaller version of a, of a greyhound. Okay. And a kelpie is an Australian, uh, farm dog. So she's a mixture of the two. So she's very athletic and strong and she runs fast and.
That's dope. So you made an Instagram for your dog?
I did. For my dog. So I've been stalking that.
What's her name?
Her? Lola.
Lola. Lola the kelpie whippet on Instagram. Oh, that's so cute. That is adorable. Do you plan on getting any more dogs?
Yeah. Ah, I don't know, because I travel a lot. My sister really wants another one, so do I, but, um, I don't know, we'll have to see.
So for everyone who have not seen Every Day, um, what is one word to describe the film? One word. Yeah.
Uh, Magical.
Magical. Yeah. Ooh. Yeah. Anything like magical happen on set?
Uh, yes, I guess so. I mean.
How so? I want specifics. You can't just like tiptoe around. I want to know.
There's a scene in the film where it's, it's all about dancing. So my character goes to, goes to a party, she does dancing with this character. So she doesn't know that it's A, but it is A who she dances with. And that whole scene, you know, the, the song was maybe an '80s song and it was really fun to just like, you know, have a little boogie on the dance floor and.
I would say that's magical. That's so cute. I love that. You're the cutest thing ever. Congratulations on everything and thank you so much.
Thank you so much.
