What's happening, guys? I'm Molly Argu. We are in the Young Hollywood studio today with Christina Ochoa.
Hi, guys.
Welcome to the studio.
Thank you for having me. You know it's Young Hollywood when they're slating with an iPad. It's really It was really cool.
Yeah. We're super high-tech here. Yeah. Keeping it fresh. I see. Well, I'm so excited you're here because I'm dying to know all about your new role because it's a very intense and super cool role. I love it. In Valor. And you're a chopper pilot.
I am. It's very exciting. Yeah. Nora is a a very interesting woman, very strong. She's feisty. She's a fighter, a survivor.
One thing I'm dying to know about is how do you train for a military role?
We did take a helicopter piloting lessons. So, that was very exciting. Matt Barr, who plays Gallo and I, um got to go to uh the Van Nuys Airport immediately after we got the roles. And you know, They didn't waste any time. They're like, "Okay, training." None. You got the part. Can you make it to the airport today because we shoot Monday? Oh, my god. Um so, it was one of those. And it was some of the most exciting stuff that I've ever done for a part at least. Yeah. And and the salutes like Matt Matt puts it perfectly when he talks about how it's an art form. It is. There are so many little tiny details to how to do a proper salute that these servicemen and women are doing all day, every day. Most of our background performers are ex uh military.
Wow.
And they they'll come up and they'll keep us in check. They'll be like, "You should be bloused and you can't see your thumb and you should be doing this." Right. It's great. It's great. So, there's no messing around.
Well, since it's your first time in studio.
Yes.
We have a game of Firsts. Are you ready?
Yes.
Okay. So, we have a few questions here for you. And maybe you just briefly explain the statement. So, the first one is First science experiment.
Probably freezing a bubble.
Freezing a bubble. Like a
Seeing if it was possible to freeze a bubble, which we did on a field trip. And then I tried to recreate it as an adult and do it with a friend.
Did it work?
And it worked. But I I feel like I did it better when I was a kid. I did a better job. It's that blowing bubbles, you know.
Really? Oh. All right. Your first embarrassing audition.
I initially auditioned for a part of a girl that walks in and changes her clothes. And I didn't know that you weren't supposed to do the scene in the room. So, I went in and I took off my shirt. And then I like grabbed another one from a bag. And he looked at me and he's like, "Don't ever ever do that again. Ever." And so, I learned my lesson. Yeah. Exactly. He's like, "You're gonna get in trouble."
First stamp in your passport.
Probably Dominican Republic or something like that. My mom would you know, just take us to tropical locations.
First person you text with good news.
It's probably group text to my family. Okay. It's a group text to my parents. And my brother and my sister.
Who was your first celebrity crush?
I had a really uh big crush on Tony Curtis.
Really?
Yeah. Some Like It Hot and Houdini. And I was all about it.
I know from following you on social media that you're super active. And super into fitness anyways. One thing I know you love is scuba diving.
I do.
Which is different from jumping out of planes but equally as exciting, I would say.
Uh yeah. Water is my happy place. And anything that I can do to get closer to scuba diving or marine life and and the beach and it's that's always on the top of my list.
Do you have a favorite dive that you've ever done or a favorite location where you've been scuba diving?
No. But recently, I did the Blue Hole for the first time in Belize. And that one is definitely up there in the top five.
Do you have an underwater spirit animal?
A shark, probably. Yeah.
Oh my god. I love that. I mean, I probably want to say something cuter and, you know, more feminine. But no, a shark. Yeah. Sharks are great. And you know what? Actually, I think I saw I I loved this quote and I think I saw it on your social media too like, it's Monday but sharks aren't complaining it's Monday because they're out biting stuff.
Yes.
And it's true. It is. It's great. It's great. I'm all into memes. Do you like memes? Like I'm constantly sending memes and stuff to my friends on Instagram. Do you have a favorite?
Uh, a favorite meme. Oh, gosh. I don't know. There are too many. I'll I'll I'll send you whatever one is like my most recent. You know? Oh my god. That's a funny one for sure. I love that.
Well, and and I was wondering is one of the reasons why you're so attracted to scuba diving and being by the water because you're from Barcelona.
I am.
Is that maybe a connection there?
Yeah. For sure. I was definitely raised by the water. Uh, it's home. So, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my hometown, you know.
Well, thank you so much for hanging out with us. We hope you come back. And we can't wait to see more of Valor.
I'm so excited. I can't wait.
