Hey guys, it's Audrey with the gorgeous ladies of Netflix's Glow. I know. Sorry, that's our call. Glow, glow, glow, glow, glow, glow, glow, glow. And then hey, hey, hey. I want to talk about this show because it is getting so much rave reviews. And part of the appeal, I think, is also just behind the scenes. You guys were working with a lot of great women. It was such a female-friendly set. What was that like for you all?

Guest

You know, there were 14 women on the cast. The show runners were women, seven out of the nine directors were women. And I have to say, learning something like wrestling was just really empowering and it was like an athletics sleepover. Um, it was so cool hanging out and meeting all these women. And we're all very different, but we get along in this really crazy way. And we're Second guest: And everybody had to wear a lot of spandex and I didn't. Cedella wore a lot of booty shorts.

Guest

I did. There was a lot of terry cloth. A lot of little like yeah. A lot of little butt cheeks out, you know. Yeah. I was totally comfortable all the time. Can't go wrong with gym shorts and cut offs, baby.

Young Hollywood

And you all really went through wrestling training, right? So I'm curious what little trophies aka injuries did you did you

Guest

Amazingly, none of us well. Besides that one little mishap at the end. Yes. It was very unfortunate. Jackie had her ankle Second guest: But that's about it. Five months. And that's five months. And that was the last episode of shooting.

Guest

We had we had bumps and bruises. Bruises were oddly like this part of our back was all bruised from wearing the ropes and it was kind of it was like a bad. It's like, oh, let me see your bruise. Oh, look at mine. Like yeah. Literally if you if you watch and you see little like red marks on people's legs. That was like literally real from watching. But nothing crazy. Yes, the ropes are wire and cables with a little bit of padding. I mean, you will get beat up by them. Yeah. You didn't know your fiercest competitor was a rope.

Young Hollywood

You talked about having to keep each other safe. And that's what actual like, you know, people in pro wrestling do. You know it's really about their safety. So I'm wondering if you could teach me how to do is it called a lock up?

Guest

Yeah. Okay, so um, I'm gonna have you put this arm is going to go here on my neck, okay? And then this.

Young Hollywood

Don't you have to buy you dinner? Like this, okay? You have to get

Guest

Oh, I do. Okay. here we go. This is a and this is a lockup. So in the lockup what you're doing is you're getting ready to dance. So first thing I would do is like. Oh, well, well, well, what'd you just do? I put you to half. This is almost like in boxing when you kind of dance a little bit to test the floorboard.

Young Hollywood

Sure. So here we go. So it's not just like a

Guest

No. I'm open to it. Whatever. This couch is just I'm improvising. I'm just improvising. We were just watching. So we're good. I didn't say that in the contract.

Young Hollywood

I am so inspired by Glow and I and I need my own wrestling name. I thought I came up with a couple. I thought I would run them by you and just see what you all thought. So dedication to our former Justice of Supreme Court, Sandra Slay O'Connor. Yes. Okay. And and because, you know, I have to capitalize on being of Asian descent, right? Yes. Instead of China doll, China brawl.

Guest

Oh, okay. All right. I like that one. I like that one. It's that's yeah, yeah. It's on the order of Fortune Cookie. You guys could tag team. Second guest: one of our wrestlers is Fortune Cookie.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, cuz it's totally hitting with Glow. Of course, everybody had that little stereotype. So yeah, I'm gonna go with that one. Okay, China brawl and then my finishing move would be the knee knocker where I kick someone in the knees and run away. Ladies, this was awesome. Uh, I don't know, should we go out on a on a glow chant? Like how do you want to

Guest

Why don't we wrestle you out? Okay, All right. Here you go. So grab my hand. Stay tuned next week. There will be more guests. Not wrestling. Thank you for joining us.
