Halle Berry’s Advice to Her On-Screen Son

With the stars of Kidnap, Halle Berry, Sage Corea and we have a third co-star actually, a minivan.

Yeah. Halle going ham with the minivan in this. I love it. Found you, you son of a No! Oh God. Sage, how was it having Halle as your movie mom?

It was cool. When we got there to New Orleans, like a couple days before we filmed, she brought me over to her hotel to like give advice about the movie and stuff.

Oh. You remember that?

I do remember that.

What advice did she give you?

I don't remember. All we talked. Mainly all, mainly all we talked about was Alvin and the Chipmunks. The night before I was watching um Alvin and the Chipmunks. So I had that uh movie in my head the whole day.

It was bonding time. I was going to ask how you guys bonded and had fun because it's kind of an intense ride this movie.

Yeah, it is. And we needed time so we could feel like we were familiar in some way and I did have some little talks with him. You don't remember but I'm going to remind you. We talked about, you know, Listen up. Sort of the themes of the movie and for you not to be afraid and to know that it wasn't real because he was only six. I mean, he's now big with his big man teeth and everything. He has baby teeth when we made this movie. You know, he was only six years old and so I was protective of him and wanted to make sure that he went back the same way he came. You know?

Yeah. And Halle, you're a mom yourself. And and in this movie she really goes into full mama bear mode. So was it really that much of a reach for you, you think?

I don't think so. The emotion wasn't a reach for me at all. Being a mother of two, I I connected instantly. The reach was I did a lot of this movie in a van by myself. That was the hard part. To calibrate that performance, to keep track of where I was in my chase because of course, we don't shoot anything in order. That was the reach for me. Trying to keep it all straight with and kind of by myself a lot in in that minivan.

Yeah. It turns you off to minivans.

Minivans are dope. I can't think of driving my kids around without my. I mean it's got a vacuum cleaner, it's got a refrigerator. It's got surround sound movie theater in the back.

Does it also align your chakras, like can you do yoga in it? Like.

There's enough room, girl, you can do about anything you want in a minivan and I'm pro minivan today.

Halle, I don't know if you know this. He is a budding rapper as well. I yeah. And I before we go, Sage, do you mind just like dropping some rhymes?
