Does Katie Stevens Think She's Bold or Basic?

What's going on, guys? Nicole Kaching in the Young Hollywood Studio with Katy Stevens and we are about to play a game called Bold or Basic in honor of our show, The Bold Type. Are you ready for this?

Yes. I'm so ready.

All right. Here we go. Selfies with filters.

Basic. Ooh, I love the filters. You don't? I do. I'm not going to I I am basic. I do the filters, but I think it's basic. I think at this point, you know, we we have so many people that like put filters on everything, that then you see them in person and you're like, that's not what you look like. I think it's bolder to just like wake up in the morning with like your zit cream on and just like post a photo. Granted, I've never done it, but that just means I'm not bold.

I am so basic. I do it, but it's basic. Right? They're so cute though. Yeah, they are cute. I feel like when things are basic when everyone does them. We're all basic. Like pumpkin spice latte, give me all of them.

Okay, you're you're freaking me out. We're on like the same wavelength again because my next one was liking pumpkin spice lattes.

Basic, but I love them so much that I might give them a bold. Cuz I feel like people are starting that's starting to be the like Uggs and pumpkin spice latte are starting to be like the token basic girl thing to do. Yeah. But because I feel like they're on the way out, I feel like if I were to throw a pair of Uggs on, I'd be bold.

I was going to put on wearing Uggs, but I was like, they've kind of been in and out for so long.

I agree. I'm not going to lie. I wore them this morning. Or like so much about you. I wore a pair of Uggs this morning.

Next interview that we do, we're going to do that. We'll wear them. We will wear Uggs while drinking pumpkin spice lattes and taking and doing filtered selfies with duck face.

Okay, messaging someone first on a dating app.

Bold. Right? I am in a relationship, so I'm not in I'm not in the dating app game. I was lucky to get swept off my feet before dating apps became a thing. Aw. But I do have a really good time with my single friends going on their dating apps. And just swiping like crazy. And just swiping and being like no, yes. But at the same time, we shouldn't be allowed that many options. I think that's why like this generation sometimes has trouble settling, you know what I mean? Well, and also like I think being able to just like, why should you be able to be like, I don't like you swipe? Right. Like that just I feel like that makes us, we're mean.

Fair enough. All right, rocking fashions that are out of season.

Bold. I like it. Because you're going against the grain. It doesn't mean that your fashion is good. Yeah. It just means that you're taking a risk and I appreciate you for that.

All right, last one. Paying for the bill on the first date.

Bold. Yes. When I first like was crushing on my boyfriend, we were in a group setting and we were actually talking about who pays on a date. And we were all just speaking in general. And I just said to the group. I was like, if I'm on a date with you, I'm going to offer to pay. Yeah. And my now boyfriend looked at me and goes, whoa, Katie, we're not dating yet. And in my head I was like, challenge accepted.

That sounds like a fun relationship.

Yeah. Our first date was to hot yoga.

That's so awesome. Are you serious?

Yeah. And then our first trip away together, I actually was sneaky and I stole the bill from the waiter and I paid. Oh my god, I've done that before and then I was thrown into the fire for it because, you know, there's some guys out there that are just like, absolutely not. I want to pay first. I'm like. But I'm but he had paid for dinners before, but I'm lucky enough to be with a man who likes a strong and empowered woman, so.

Damn. You are inspirational and you are powerful and you are bold. I didn't even realize I was fanning myself with the bold with the bold type. There you go. Katie, you're awesome and you're bold and your show's bold.
