You could be the new bad guy, but a woman. Yeah, a bad woman. Now, I feel like they need that. The new villain. I know. They haven't had a lot of bad- Any bad women? Have they? I don't know. No, it's everyone's been. What we just did. We just wrote the show for them. I'm Oliver Trevena here at Young Hollywood with the lovely, Katrina Bowden. How are you?
I'm good. How are you?
Wonderful. We're mixing up. We're in like a new little area in the studio. It's nice. Dogs on the floor. Georgie's not really in the shot, I don't think. So, it's a shame. She's struggling with that. She is there, though. She is there. There is a dog. If you see Katrina reach down. It's for the dog. And she's started like rubbing something. Yeah, she's not rubbing the carpet. Not one of those weird fetishes. She loves carpets. Um, you're here for Hard Sell. Which is an easy sell. Cause I watched it and I loved it.
I have a rare and unique business opportunity for us. What's in it for me? Have you been in a towel this whole time? It's emotional, though. I didn't I didn't wanna cry last night and I cried. I honestly shed a few tears.
Yeah, that's what we're going for.
It's um, it's a it's a classic coming of age movie so it's really funny at times, but it definitely has some tear-jerking moments. And uh, it is, it makes you feel something.
You play Bo and you have this great relationship with Hardy in school. Um, who's amazing, Skyler.
He's incredible. He's incredible. I hadn't seen much of his work before and he's he's mind-blowing. He's great. So great.
Yeah, he's doing a lot of really great things too. And yeah, you guys start this uh business venture, I should say.
Yes.
And in an interesting way. Business venture of sorts. Yeah, to begin with, it's uh entrepreneurial in a way if you show your
Yeah. Yeah, she flashes high school students to make them a little bit of money. Yeah, that's what she does. This character she's a troubled girl. She comes from a wealthy family. Um, but she's running from something. She has a troubled past. And she's kind of a free spirit. Like she's the kind of girl that will do whatever and and not think twice about it. So, she starts making a little bit of money with Hardy doing this little business venture at her high school and then um, and so teaching a lot of these high school students a little bit about life and uh, kind of finds herself in the process.
Right, right. Did that bring back some memories for you growing up? Uh, you mean the flashing people at school? No. Not at all. That's not what crossed my mind at all. I mean, did it?
No, no, no. Actually, it's the first time I've watched. People keep asking me if it's like I connected to the character cause it's very similar to myself and I'm like, well, no, not really. I mean, she's very different. And uh, I guess the way I I connected with with Bo is that we've all been at a place where we didn't really know where we were what we were going to do. What to do with our lives? Like what was our point? Um, so we've all I think most people have been there at some point. So that's where how I connected with her.
Amazing cast. She's just absolutely brilliant. She's she's amazing. Um, and the the chemistry between her and Skyler is also a tear-jerker. So such a great chemistry. It's really funny and it'll have you laughing one second and then crying the next. Um, we're gonna do some discovery questions um to find out some more stuff about you. What are some trends that you love right now um in music or fashion?
Music or fashion? Um, I kinda I kinda like the uh in music kind of the retro sounding songs.
Okay. Okay, that's coming back. Yeah. Yeah, I feel that sound's coming back. Been back for a while, I think. Maybe it's old news already. I'm just catching on real slow. Didn't have to call me out on that. Um, what's your favorite social media platform? Cause there's so many.
Instagram. I just joined Snapchat and I'm learning to love it, but
Okay. Um, it takes me a little bit of while a little while to kinda like get my footing. I've not joined it yet. I'm doing that same thing because I was like, there's a lot to think about.
It's really fun, but there's so many social media platforms. How do you do them all in one day? But it's really fun.
Well, that's right. Okay, so maybe I should give Snapchat. Have you have you played around with the filters?
Oh, yeah. It's amazing.
Which one's your favorite?
Uh, oh my gosh. Uh, the the flower crown is pretty good.
Okay, cause there's a unicorn. I found this out yesterday. There's a unicorn that throws up.
Oh, yeah, yeah. There's that one. That is that one.
Strange. Okay. That's everyone's favorite, I think. Um, what's a guilty pleasure that no one knows about?
Um, I love reality TV.
Oh, you do? Yeah. People know about it, though. It's not the first secret. Which what's the favorite show? Reality TV?
Uh, any any any Housewives? I will watch any Housewives show and I will watch them over and over and over again. Like my husband will come in and be like, baby, you've already seen this episode. And I'm like, yeah, I know, but it's really good.
When we were saying that, it's your husband. I was like, oh my god. No, I know. It's like on our on our DVR. It's like it's like through the wormhole through through the wormhole and Real Housewives of whatever. Okay, whatever floats your boat. Um, if you could describe yourself in one word, what would that be?
Fun.
Fun? That's a good one. That's a good one. Keep it simple. Yeah, fun. That's great. Um, you've guest starred on a lot of shows and you've been obviously on a massive amount of TV shows. If you could guest star on any TV show right now, which one would you want to be on?
The Walking Dead.
Would you? Yes. You love The Walking Dead.
Love it. Love it so much.
I love it, but I feel like it's just I've got to be honest. Not that I wanna put down The Walking Dead, cause I'm sure I'll be interviewing someone next week, but it's going on. It's going on. I want something now to happen, like
Yeah, you want No, I don't want any more.
What did you what did you see the the finale? Yeah, and you that didn't that didn't make you.
Yeah, I mean that got me excited, but it was like I think I think it was the perfect time to introduce a new bad guy.
Okay. You could be the new bad guy, but a woman. I know. Yeah. So what we just did? We just wrote the show for them. Um, yes, and before we wrap up, I wanna talk about Fitcat.
Yes. Yes, let's talk about that. Um, I started a healthy lifestyle I started a healthy lifestyle blog called Fitcat. Uh, a couple of months ago. It's uh, I've been working I've been working on it for many months before. It's kinda like um, it's a lifestyle blog, but it focuses on on health and wellness and fitness. I'm very into fitness and health and I love cooking. So I share my favorite fitness workouts, my favorite fitness studios, my favorite recipes, and I just kind of dive into like exploring all fitness and health trends. And then I throw in like stuff about like what I'm working on and a little bit of fashion.
Nice. All about you and your your lifestyle.
Yeah, just kinda my my my lifestyle with a focus on fitness and health.
Okay. What's your top three fitness tips that you could give me right now?
Well, I okay. Um, find something that you really enjoy doing cause you'll stick with it more. So, you know, try different classes like boxing or boot camps or um, some people just really love running cause it's like a release. Um, or spinning or Pilates or whatever floats your boat.
Yeah, I don't wanna do I've tried spinning. It frustrates me. If I'm pedaling that hard, I want to move.
You want to move. Okay.
I wanna see something different other than a person in front of me.
Or just even like hiking. You know, that's great for fitness. You get outside and
Okay, that's well. Yeah, exactly.
Okay, that's number one. Um, number two is it's mostly diet. So to get in shape,
I'm gonna struggle.
If you're working out a lot and your diet's crap, you're not gonna see results.
Okay, that's. Well, that sucks cause it's like, oh, I worked out. I want a burger, but I
I do too. But I'm very honest. Um, and then uh, I like to wear a fitness tracker. I'm not wearing it right now, but uh, one that has my that tells me my heart rate. So that when I'm in a fitness class, I'll know how hard I'm working and it can kinda just track how many steps you take and the more aware of how active you are, the more likely you are to do more active things.
Okay. Does your husband wear one as well?
Yeah, we kind of and we kinda like compete. Yeah. My mom has one too.
You do. Okay. I see that's so bad cause the first thing that went through my head if I was doing that, competing with someone, I would give it to like some fitness guru and just be like, just smash it today. Back around 6:00 p. m. And I'll put it back on. Just like do some trail runs and give it back to me. Yeah, yeah. Okay, that's interesting. Who who wins?
It's kinda a toss up.
Okay, good answer.
I mean, like, we we when we lived in New York, we were definitely walking more steps every day. But um, but yeah, it's kind of sometimes I win, sometimes he wins.
Yeah, if you're walking along, people actually drive by and think you're kinda strange. They think you're say, oh, you're fine. Yeah, they think you have no car. Really well-dressed homeless person. You're like, no, no, I'm just walking. I once had someone pull over when I was walking and ask me if I wanted a ride. I'm like, I'm okay, thanks.
Yeah, that probably would happen. Yeah. Surprisingly, I've never had that. Nobody's ever asked me to get in their car.
Yeah, that doesn't happen. It's a little creepy. So maybe
No, no, no, I'll take it as positive. I'll take it as a positive. Um, Hard Sell, it's amazing. Watch it because it really is it will make you cry, though. Just pre-warning you. They should put that on the title. It will make you cry. You can't fight it. You can't fight it. Everyone will cry.
Katrina Bowden, it's lovely.
