Well, it's proper football. This is proper football. Not primitive American football. They're amazing. Amazing. It's standard.

Young Hollywood

like I'm Oliver Chaw here on the Young Hollywood sofa joined by the lovely Jamie King. How are you?

Jaime King Unfiltered

Good. How are you?

Young Hollywood

Good. We're just talking about this as a surprise because I think probably the only American female that's sat on the sofa and talked about football.

Jaime King Unfiltered

soccer, but real football. Proper football. Yes. Sorry to sorry to upset any Americans. Completely betray your country right now. It's fine. Yes, proper football players actually have to run. They run about 10 miles per game, if not more. American football players probably run three steps sometimes and maybe if they're lucky. Like you know I should stop. I'm going to I'm going to get like every I'm going to look at my Instagram and it's going to be like, you have zero followers. You have negative one bazillion followers.

Young Hollywood

You reminded me of one of your episodes now that I've that I've just seen on attention deficit. Yeah. Um the fitness one.

Jaime King Unfiltered

Oh, yeah. Kind of going into one of your rants about fitness. All of the tension deficit theater was is based on my brain. So they just recorded me talking about the way that I perceive the world and living in an ADHD world and how it just kind of like it just messes with my brain. And we did a fitness episode and it's like this idea of like, you know, P90X and then CrossFit and like soul cycle and yoga like all these different yogas and like I'm like I always say like I'm more scared, like I burn more calories like thinking about going to one of these places than actually attending one of these places. It's like they're own they're own mini cults.

Young Hollywood

Right. Right.

Jaime King Unfiltered

They're like their own weird cults of like It's massive. Like it's like everybody on their Instagram is like, I'm soul cycling. And like, you know, like in their little outfits and it's like I just feel like I would be like like not in the right outfit. I'd be like in like my husband's like sweatpants and like some like whatever t-shirt I could find and probably like the wrong shoes. I'd slip off the chair and like I I would arrive like late because I don't know where the parking is and like probably everybody gets there like 45 minutes early to get like the right spot and they're all like tight with the teachers and I don't know the teacher and I'd be like, oh, well, I'm just starting. Like I can't go that fast and then they're like, no, you got to do it. You're going to kill you and die. Like that's kind of like how I how it happens in my brain. When I think about when I think about going to exercise anywhere in Los Angeles other than walking up Franklin Canyon where there's nobody going.

Young Hollywood

Right. This is how it all started then. This is how you got involved in because obviously you're producing it's your it's your thing. It's just literally, I mean, you know, you you're it's really easy to see now that it really is just recording your voice.

Jaime King Unfiltered

Yes. It is. It is. We talk about things like game night and guilty pleasures and dating and how I like to eat like on the side of the road in my car because I have like no alone time and

Young Hollywood

Right. Okay. Um, you know. Your pretzels.

Jaime King Unfiltered

cheese. cheese, pretzels, cheese. beef jerky. I remember I I I went to my girlfriend's and we were driving somewhere and uh I had taken just like a whole piece of brie and I was eating it like a piece of pizza, but to me that's normal. So then I I remember setting it down and she just turned to me and she's like, did you just was that brie? And I was like, yeah. She's like, did you just eat legitimately the whole piece of brie? I was like, yes. And I I was like, but I was confused as to what the issue was. I was like, what's the problem?

Young Hollywood

I'm I'm with you on that. I could eat a I could eat a chunk of cheese at any point.

Jaime King Unfiltered

And then I realized like in hindsight it's a problem. Like that's like a problem for most people think that that's not normal. But to me it was like perfectly normal. I justify it. It could be worse. Yeah, it could be worse. Look, you are who you are, not who you look like. This is what I'm talking about. I looked the part but I didn't fit in. I felt weird and not in a good way, so let's just change it up. That's what it all comes down to. The people you're surrounded by.

Young Hollywood

Talking about the show and you've got obviously you mentioned, you know, all the all the different subjects you've done. Yes. Is there any that you haven't touched base on yet that you'd love to do on the next the next round?

Jaime King Unfiltered

There's so much that I have to say about everything. I think that

Young Hollywood

I'm sure you believe that. Maybe maybe something about music and people's poor taste in music.

Jaime King Unfiltered

There's such bad music.

Young Hollywood

First artist that springs to mind when you say bad music. Let's just slate everyone.

Jaime King Unfiltered

I mean, the problem is is that nobody plays instruments anymore. Nobody actually sings and everything's autotune and everything is made by somebody else and they go and then all of a sudden they have writing credit and then it's not really them that's written it and you realize it's like like 20 million producers that's written it and it's like been a pool of song that's been spread like to 20 million different artists now pick and choose and it's sort of like sleeping with like a million people except they've just all slept with the song and then someone just decides to like put a ring on it and put it on their album and that's kind of how I think of music these days, but nobody like really like plays, you know. And then kids don't know what Nirvana is and that's a major problem for me. And then they don't know who it like Oasis is. Like great like, you know. And then they think that they do because I don't know. It's just

Young Hollywood

So the thing I'm most excited about, but also very disappointed about, is ColourPop, the makeup line. I couldn't get any because it sold out.

Jaime King Unfiltered

That's insane. It's vegan, it's cruelty-free. It's uh made here in California. I really love it because it's like when you go into the labs, you are seeing that it's really like an apprenticeship program where everybody teaches each other everything and everybody's happy there and there's a lot of love. And you know, it's really amazing to actually make something that you've always wanted to make before and it's actually also one of the first makeup lines that was made for to be completely gender fluid. You know, so we are doing tutorials for with trans, with straight, with this, with that, with like Omni with everybody. Like so there is no

Young Hollywood

You could be working some then. You can be in some.

Jaime King Unfiltered

Absolutely. You know. So everybody's invited.

Young Hollywood

I need a bit of ColourPop in my life.

Jaime King Unfiltered

Yeah. And no Georgie's were harmed.

Young Hollywood

Exactly. Exactly. We love our our fuzzy friends. Yes. She's very happy about it. She's not showing it. But she's very happy. Your game nights, because you mentioned you do a little segment on that as well. You you're known for your game nights around Hollywood. If you could have anyone over in the world for game night, dead or alive, who would you pick? Think about it. It's a it's a big question.

Jaime King Unfiltered

Cleopatra. Oh. Because she was a genius. I mean, she rolled herself up in a rug to get back into her own palace. But I would play mafia with her because I would want to know her moves. Like her trickery and like see how her intellect works.

Young Hollywood

I just had my first mafia experience. How did that go for you? Did you feel like personally?

Jaime King Unfiltered

Well, people just take it so seriously.

Young Hollywood

Exactly.

Jaime King Unfiltered

I've seen people break up. Like it's really like an emotionally engaging game.

Young Hollywood

Well, you realize how easily people can lie to each other.

Jaime King Unfiltered

It was two people that started dating and she was a peeker and it was new in their relationship maybe a month in. And she was doing like a peeker like a like a peeker. And then when the boyfriend realized later that she was cheating because she was called on for cheating then he was like, I can't be with this person. And they literally broke up because he knew that if she was willing to cheat at a game at a friend's house then

Young Hollywood

Says a lot about someone.

Jaime King Unfiltered

See, probably. Don't peek. Don't peek. Don't peek at all. Don't peek at all. It's just bad. It's just bad karma. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

There you go. Um the CW's Attention Deficit Theatre, you can listen to her thoughts and there's a lot of them. So tune in. Pleasure.
