Can you show me some like dance battle moves, like ones that I could take to the street? How do we punctuate? When we get done with a statement, we get up and just like what? Like this? See, this is the masculine. That's how we boy. Okay, you see how the hips are straight? Everything is

Young Hollywood

Unmasked and all the way from Vegas, Jabbawockeez are in the studio. I am so excited that you guys are here. Thanks for coming by. We cleared. We like rearranged the entire studio for you. So, yeah, just for you guys.

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

What do you expect us to do with all this space?

Young Hollywood

Oh, I know. Just a little bit of a little bit of this, maybe. You guys have had a couple Vegas residencies. You have one now at MGM Dreams. What makes this show different from other ones you guys have done?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Overall, it's about inspiration and all of our shows are. So, that really makes it the same. Thank you, guys. Uh, Young Hollywood, by the way. Uh, and really what makes it cool is we bring the latest technology. Naels, please. Uh, yeah. And 3D mapping, live 3D mapping and some crazy elements, but, you know, it's besides the production. It's really about the dance.

Young Hollywood

When you guys come together to put together a new show, what is that creative process like? Like, where do you draw your inspiration from?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Pretty much from everything. Um, a lot of us are inspired by, uh, kung fu, uh, you know, different types of music from 80s, 90s, top music. Doesn't have to be necessarily hip hop. It could be rock, it could be R and B. Ooh, yeah. It could also be a lot of other different things like, um, uh, you know, very funny things that we've seen a lot, uh, from Charlie Chaplin to, um, you know, Jim Carrey, you know, funny quotes in movies. Um, oh, it feels good. Uh, but a lot of a lot of good things that that we were inspired by. The Walking Dead, for sure, is a big inspiration. We love The Walking Dead.

Young Hollywood

Really? Oh, no, no, no. I love it. So, we see some zombie moves in this show?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Yes, you do see some zombie moves in this show. You will see that for sure. The story Dreams is pretty much, you know, the name speaks for itself. It's about following your dreams and it's about a character who is on autopilot and then through the journey, he finds out who he truly is and and ends up spreading that message when he is actually in the real world type of thing.

Young Hollywood

Is that drawn from your own lives at all?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Yeah, anybody's life, really, that who wants to, you know, follow their dreams. If you're working a nine to five day job and you're on autopilot and you're just like, oh, whatever, you know, like break the monotony, do something that you want to follow, you know, that you love.

Young Hollywood

You actually got to choreograph for the Super Bowl and, uh, worked with Bruno Mars. Yes. Beyoncé. What was that like? I mean, that that seems like a dancer's dream right there.

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Oh, for sure. They were very humble, you know, first and foremost, that was really dope. Like as soon as we got to work it it was we caught a vibe and and it was an honor to to be able to rock a stage like the Super Bowl. Homie Bruno, like, you know, we vibe out, we create, we do what we do. He he's very much like us, so it was just kind of easy to put something together. But, you know, to be around like Chris Martin, Coldplay. Those guys are amazing and then Beyoncé, of course, like the queen is like, you know, it's like this power lineup all star little situation and you're just there like.

Young Hollywood

Okay, about Chris Martin. I feel like we didn't get to see all of his dance moves. Is he an actually actually a good dancer?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Chris can vibe out. The choreography side, you know, he doesn't really do like choreography. Okay. But he he has to work on that, in other words. His energy is amazing, though. Chris Martin's dope, everyone.

Young Hollywood

You guys have also, as Jabbawockeez, you've collaborated with everybody from, uh, Shaquille O'Neal to New Kids On The Block. You got Holly Holm to dance on your stage. Is there anyone who's shockingly a good dancer?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Shaq. That was a surprise. You would think we were going to choreograph his whole entire piece. And he walks in. He's like, what's up, guys? Yeah, this is what I'm going to do, all right? This is what I'm going to do. I'm going to stand in the middle and I'm going to hit him with this home. And then you're going to move and I'm going to hit you over here. You're going to hit him with that. Then I'm going to hit him with that. Then I'm going to start waving. We're like, okay, cool. He already had it. Oh. Can you dig it? We went It's messed up, bro. Don't have them coming after us cuz Messed up. Don't shout out shout out. We love you, bro. I'm saying.

Young Hollywood

Young Hollywood, yeah. I had some Chick-fil-A. It was spicy and it messed up my stomach. But I need to detox with some apples in the day. Okay, I'm done.

Young Hollywood

You guys also got to do a collaboration with Street Fighter. Did you guys grow up playing the game?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Yes. Yes. So, how special was it? I I think it's safe to say that it was pretty amazing for us to collaborate with Capcom. We actually have like legitimate Capcom Street Fighter 5 assets in the like the Hadoken. You know what I'm saying?

Young Hollywood

Can you show me? Like, how do you like actual

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

It's an actual

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

I've always

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Just for just for Young Hollywood that doesn't know what Street Fighter is, it's one of the best fighting games on any platform. And the Hadoken is the collection of cheat energy brought forth through the palms of a trained master in Shotokan karate.

Young Hollywood

But can you say Can you do how they say it?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Hadoken. That sounds authentic. I would do the Shinku Hadoken, but I might make the lights go out.

Young Hollywood

I know you guys are super busy with this show, but when you have downtime, what are your favorite things to do in Vegas?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

You know what? We hit up the buffets. You got the best food. You got people from all over, chefing from all over coming there to make all quality food. So, you we've found very good food in Las Vegas. Surprisingly. Yeah. Little side place. We'll be like, what's this? Go taste this. It's amazing. There is life off the strip, too. We all live actually normal life. So, like local gems.

Young Hollywood

So, what's like your hidden Vegas?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

For me, personally, I I think I can speak on behalf of the crew, but between us and another group, Super Crew, shout out Super Crew. Uh, we go to this place called Soyo. Expecting the check Soyo. What's up? Korean BBQ. Yeah, we're expecting the check from Soyo and Super Crew.

Young Hollywood

To be a Jabbawockee, you actually have to dance battle. Is that true?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

You got to dance battle. You have to dance life. Like, fighting with That's right. They speak fighting with their body.

Young Hollywood

Oh, do you want to do you want to step it up? I mean, I might I mean, I have you know the look like you have your dance shoes on, unless those are your dance shoes. I can kick these off. I could do a little bit of this. Oh, shoot. Can you do that?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Yeah, have you have one here? No, I can't. I can't, actually. We actually We actually That's a that's a get into the crew free pass. That move right there. I'm saying.

Young Hollywood

Can I show you my finishing?

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Absolutely. Here's a rule. You can't talk with the mask on. Okay, all right. So, I do whatever move I got. And then I do a tambourine? Oh, that was tight. Looks looks got the hip, right? Got the hip, right? 27, that's.

Young Hollywood

Little Jazz hands. Yes. Okay. So, you gotta do something before the finish. So, do something and then finish it with a tambourine.

JabbaWockeeZ Unmasked

Yes, do something. So something and then So do the like like a cabbage patch or something, like a And now finish tambourine and tambourine. Boom. She's in the group. There's nothing else we can teach you. You want to get the You want to get the You have reached the final level. You now have the globe.
