Wow, what a sensitive what a sensitive. Well, educated. Pretty much a well-rounded like full package kind of guy. Full package. Not the like, you know. Oh! Definitely wrap it up now. I'm Oliver Trevena here on the Young Hollywood sofa with the lovely Brooke Burke. How are you?
I'm so good. It's good to see you. This is so much fun. I hope
This is really fun. I like it. I like your whole digs too. We're doing something professional. Breaking bread.
Yeah. Yeah, breaking bread. It's for a show I produced. Very cozy. It's a food show, celebrity interview show. But what I wanted to do is take celebrities on a walk down memory lane through the palette and food is so disarming, so instead of just doing a celebrity interview, I go into their kitchen, we mix up some of their favorite recipes. I take them into my home. We cook. We talk. It brings them back to really special places, family traditions, certain meals, memories.
Right. I've just started cooking.
You really? What
Well, it's I shouldn't even admit this but I just cracked my first egg. I've never cracked an egg before.
How are you surviving in Hollywood alone?
Well, it's a single guy.
That's not okay.
I I know but I'm on the right track. I did you not hear me? I said I just cracked my first egg.
Okay. Let's embrace that. Let's celebrate that. Okay. I I that really? I just pray for you.
I mean, I've made like I've made pasta and things like that but I've cracked an egg.
Okay, when you come over and I'll get you in the kitchen and we'll do we'll do a cooking lesson.
Let's do it. Let's do it. You got to be able to cook. Well, you want to make a romantic dinner for your lady. Oh, that's where I'm going wrong. Yeah, I need to do it. That's the problem. Cereal doesn't doesn't work anymore. I'm like I make you cereal.
Cereal. Mid-night cereal's fun.
Mid-night cereal. I can do that. Bowls milk. Yeah. Um cooking what's your favorite dish to cook?
I make a lot of pasta. I cook everything. I love
And you eat everything as well. That's the
I do. I I work out really hard so that I can eat cuz I love to eat. I'm a total foodie. I don't skimp on flavor. I don't do any of those crazy miserable diets. But I don't eat everything I want all the time. So I have a healthy lifestyle. I'll splurge. I'll listen to my body. I'll cook. I drink wine. I eat meat. I I make pasta. It's fun. I think you have to enjoy your life and figure out
Right. Moderation. Where is it? Moderation. And you're workout really hard. So you can eat that pasta. Right. Can you cook a meal for anyone? Anyone in the world you could have over to your house?
I would love to sit down and have a meal with the Dalai Lama cuz I'm fascinated and inspired and what in the world would I cook for him? Well, obviously something vegetarian and simple so that it would be more about the conversation and less about the food. But
Right.
I would like to create a really some really beautiful ambiance for him and I would make um I don't know. I would make uh roasted fennel and grilled tomatoes and maybe like a faro salad with nuts and crunchy vegetables and something different but I would like to just sit down with him and break bread and have some tea and I was going to say wine but I doubt he drinks wine.
I'm sure if he was around he'd say yes.
And just talk to him. You know? And I've seen him speak and I've been in his presence, his holiness at a seminar but I never had the opportunity to just ask some of life's most simple and important questions.
You just shout across the room. Dolly dinner and okay. I I tried and he he he didn't hear me. I can't I can't imagine that he would reject dinner. Really? No. Give it a shot. Okay. But you're obviously busy doing so many amazing things and you still just to mention the fitness side of things as well, you still always look so amazing.
Thank you.
What fitness tips? What's your favorite workout?
Well, I teach a class in Malibu, which you should come to if you're surfing.
I saw it's in the uh the new little little
Yeah, it's in the center. The new little country club we call it.
Country country club. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So it's a booty burn and it's kind of like a body sculpting, lifting, beauty burn. I did see some of the moves going on. You can come just for the women by the way. I was going to be honest, what you guys do I find it out of focus. Really? Yeah.
Oh, you got to come.
Okay, I will.
You have to.
I will.
It's really great fun and it's a really safe cool place for women, men for anybody to come and sweat and find their point of fatigue and push through it and just take care of ourselves. Just do it all. Yeah. Happy. You do all. And then eventually you do sleep as well.
I sleep seven, eight hours a night if I can. I need my sleep. I need my Z's. Look at that. You do all. You must have a different hour day to everyone else. 24 hours. I don't know how I do. I have about 27 hours. You have 27 hours. You're one of those yeah. You're one of those special day people. Special day people. Interesting stuff for you at the moment as well. You're doing amazing things on a subject that I had no idea about.
You and most women I think globally. And this is actually an issue. We call it LBL. Right. One out of three women are dealing with it. I just partnered with Poise. Right. To sort of bring awareness and educate women and start talking about something that makes a lot of women uncomfortable. Doesn't feel like a very sexy conversation right?
No, this is This is great. This is this is something that people from what you were telling me about it is something that people shouldn't be ashamed or shouldn't hide from or should know more about. But.
Well, that's true. I mean, there are a lot of misconceptions and I think when women think about mother nature when they think about their body changing, there's a slight bit of embarrassment. They think it has to do with age. They think it has to do with childbirth. LBL really simply is light bladder leakage. There's a solution. There's products out there in the marketplace. Poise, awesome, easy. You don't have to miss anything. You can still work out. You can still live an active life. You can still raise your kids. You can still be busy. And you don't have to let anything slow you down when you understand your body, right? When you understand it.
Right. You don't have to be embarrassed about it. You don't have to be. And always so inspiring though like everything you do but mom of four as well. It's
Yeah. It's a lot. It's a lot.
But you still keep fit. You still work. You still do everything.
I try. Well, thank you. I mean, the good news is is I learn from my kids every day. I mean, they teach me so much and then just when I think I have it figured out it doesn't work and I'm not afraid to fail and I go back in and find a new way and you know, I've got a second grader and a teenager and everything in between and it's just fascinating and mind-blowing and so much has changed from when I grow up social media and technology and you know, we're like the most socially connected most disconnected society ever which is good and bad and fascinating.
Right.
But it's crazy. But I love it. I like the chaos.
Yeah. Well, it's amazing that you're talking about such a, you know, a subject that people should know about, especially women.
Well, I appreciate it. You know, it's it's I feel fortunate at this point in my career to be able to take on projects that I believe in. LBL is something that we're going to start hearing a lot about that women know what to do about it. And can embrace their bodies and change and not be embarrassed about it. So I hope that this campaign just starts the conversation and and it becomes you know, no big deal.
Every woman start a conversation on LBL tonight. No matter how awkward it is. I will. I'm just going to go around.
You will. I know you will.
I will. I'm sorry. I'm totally going to pull that out of my back pocket now. They will be so impressed with you. I'm telling you. She'll be like wow, what a sensitive. What a sensitive. Well, educated. We'll wrap it out now. Perfect. Perfect. Always teaching me something though. Good-looking. Thank you. Great eggs. Keep it coming. One more. One more. Let's finish on one more. Pretty much a well-rounded like full package kind of guy. Full package. That the like, you know. Oh! Definitely wrap it up now. Brooke Burke. She's amazing. That's it. Where do we go from there? My gosh. I don't know if it's you or if like making me feel this way. I'm hot. I'm really hot today. Not normally this hot. I hope you guys run all of this and don't edit it. I mean, really. You haven't seen Oliver like that before. I'm really hot.
