I want to play a little game of telephone. Since we're, let's do let's do that. Yeah? Okay, all right, so I guess I'll start and then we'll pass it back around. Right? So we're going this way. And then he has to say what it is. Okay, all right. Here we go. I'm going to say it, all right, and I swear to you this is not a joke. This is what I heard you say. A packed couch.

Hailee Steinfeld

The cast of Edge of 17 hanging out. Hey guys.

Young Hollywood

I heard earlier you guys were all like separated and I know. And now we got to band back together.

Hailee Steinfeld

Yeah! We're okay now. We're okay.

Guest

These questions are like our only time to hang out.

Hailee Steinfeld

Oh, so good. Make use of it.

Guest

I know.

Young Hollywood

Before you get sick of each other again. Right?

Guest

We actually surprisingly didn't I mean, I didn't get sick of. Well. Maybe at one point, but it really not for the most part. Well, I mean, I won't, I won't single anybody out, but Well, yeah. I mean, I had a good time with Haley. Second guest: Oh. Which one?

Guest

Well, I don't know you. I only had scenes with you, so. Wow. So obviously, obviously. I had a great time with both of you. I didn't get to spend too much time with you, though. Second guest: Yeah, but we'll pass by and be like, "Hey, bro. How's it going?"

Guest

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

What does a bro hug look like? Did you demonstrate?

Guest

I'll do it. Let's do it in slow motion.

Young Hollywood

Oh, you're standing up for this.

Guest

And then there's a chest part. And then there's the there's a look of approval. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the respect at the end. I like that. It's universal. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Well, congratulations on the movie. Like, you this is a coming of age story, which I think a lot of people can relate to, and it's been like a minute since we've had one of these kinds of movies or or had that uh come up in that genre. There are two types of people in the world: the people who radiate confidence and naturally excel at life. Golden boy. And the people who hope all those people die in a big explosion. Look at that stupid shirt my brother's wearing. It drains. I have a body complex worse than a girl's. One of the themes is high school crushes, which I think we can all relate to, as well. Talk tell me about your typical high school crush.

Guest

I had a tough elementary school crush. Oh. Okay. Way back. It was from like, I already told you guys this story. From like first grade to fourth grade on. There's just one girl of, who will remain nameless right now. So I called her up. I played "I Want Candy" on the radio and every time I was about to say Candy, I took the phone, said her name, put it back to the to the song. It was that kind of stuff for years on end, but uh she never bit, man. It never landed. I was always shot down.

Hailee Steinfeld

I, I feel like that's like sweet, but also a little creepy thing. Like, I don't know who you'd fall for that. Second guest: Yeah, that's really, I love that.

Hailee Steinfeld

Yeah, I think that's very endearing. Second guest: I don't know. I was falling in love with anybody, everybody, right and left in elementary school.

Hailee Steinfeld

Yeah. I think that's what you do in elementary school.

Young Hollywood

What about you, ladies? You had school crushes?

Hailee Steinfeld

Yeah, half of them didn't know I existed. Yeah, that's the thing. Sometimes you just admire someone from afar. Like I used to do with Nick Jonas. True. This is a real thing. He was like honestly my seventh and eighth grade crush that I literally was in love with him. Second guest: No, she was convinced. It was my email address. It was my my um AIM AOL thing. I wrote on my converse that I still have Smitten With Nick. Oh. Haley Jonas. It's gotta be to it. I like it.

Guest

I had like a bandwagon crush. Like I think like there's one girl that every guy liked during high school, and I felt like I was obligated to like her.

Young Hollywood

But you didn't really like her, right?

Guest

No, really, not looking back. I'm like, it's the hype. I was caught up in the hype. It's so basic as they say. As the kids say, yeah. I was just so basic.

Young Hollywood

Okay, well what about awkward first dates? Because there there's a little awkwardness in in the dating arena in this movie. So tell me something I don't know about you, Haley. I know. What are your your hopes and dreams? Take me on a tour of your psyche.

Guest

Jeez, I don't know. I guess I'm just your average guy, I guess.

Hailee Steinfeld

Whoa. What are you? Oh my God. I'm sorry. Was that bad timing?

Guest

Oh yeah, we should probably get off. We should get off. Yeah, that was.

Hailee Steinfeld

Hey, excuse me. Can we be let off? Can we please? Can we stop the ride? Can we just stop it?

Guest

Yeah.

Hailee Steinfeld

Like all of these questions like just bring us back. I know. I think there's like too many stories I have for all of these to even Yeah. I I think there's like a like like date side, you're not sure if you're on a date or you're hanging out. Yeah. Hold on. What just happened? You got something. Second guest: Okay, I just had this date and we were ordering sweet potato fries. Oh no, not sweet potato fries. And they're my favorite, but like for some reason about sweet potato fries, sometimes it causes a little bit of awkward. Oh. Like gas. All right. That's true. And I told him that. I warned him. And then.

Hailee Steinfeld

Is that what I'm smelling right now? Second guest: No. I haven't had sweet potato fries. No. But no, this guy like took me on a date and we like ordered sweet potato fries. And I was like, I love sweet potato fries. Did you get anything else? Just sweet potato fries. And he was like, "Oh cool." And then after that the conversation just like only I was asking questions. Then like he was like gonna drive me home, but we're gonna hang out. I was like, "My friend is like, we're watching a movie at her house, you can come." And he was like, "Oh, I actually told my mom I'd hang out with her tonight." I was like, yeah. That's true. That's true. And um he dropped me off at home. Never saw him again.

Guest

That's right. Thank you. Same with um No name. Candy Girl. Yeah, man. Forget all of them cuz you're on the Young Hollywood couch and working out your problems. So you win. Is what. You guys are all winners. Exactly.

Young Hollywood

Well, because you guys are all here. I want to take advantage of this, and I want to play a little game of telephone. Since we're, let's do let's do that. Yeah? Okay, all right, so I guess I'll start and then we'll pass it back around. Right? So we're going this way. And then he has to say what it is. Okay, all right. Here we go.

Guest

Can I hear her blah blah blah blah. Don't stop talking. Talk. Can I ask someone else? Can I ask her to repeat it?

Young Hollywood

I said that really clear. No, you can't. This is the fun of telephone, you guys. Also, Young Hollywood therapy.

Guest

I don't think I think she totally didn't. She totally. He's so blank, he's here. Why? Guys, it's getting a little weird. You smell of miniature. Are you bringing it back? No. Go. I'm going to say it. All right, I swear to you this is not a joke. This is what I heard you say. I heard everybody in this cast is pooping on the same cover. That's what I just told That's what I heard from her. That's what you just told me. Second guest: No, I I thought I heard everybody's pooping on the same caliber.

Guest

Oh, I heard cover. I pictured a magazine.

Hailee Steinfeld

I think some of us are.

Young Hollywood

Okay, what I actually said was what Haley knew.

Guest

Whoa. Okay.

Young Hollywood

Okay. What I actually said was everyone in this cast is super talented. That's what you said. So she didn't hear that. That's what I said to you. Second guest: What did you think I said? Pooping on the same caliber. You just assumed that I would say that.

Young Hollywood

No, I just heard what I heard. Oh. So you're she was the one who ruined it. I'm like, oh wow. That's a great sentence. You are the weakest link.
