Hey guys, I'm Molly Argue and we are in studio at Young Hollywood with the cast of Freakish.
Who's gonna have the best Halloween costume here?
Uh, nah.
I never dress up.
I always really wanna dress up, but I get there and I decide that I wanna dress up the day of and that's too late to buy outfits.
Then you're like scrambling around trying to find a mask or something, they're sold out everywhere.
Yeah, I didn't DIY.
I just put on like a baseball hat and say I'm a off-season baseball player.
Yeah, big guy.
Do you guys have any embarrassing Halloween moments or Halloween costumes?
Dude, I was a similar wrestler.
I was just kidding ready to say.
With the wire thing.
It was a big wire thing around and it was like a big suit, yeah.
How is that practical for like going out on Halloween?
It's not.
I was Cher one year and then I was Elvis one year complete with wigs.
Wow.
This is when I was also chubby.
I was I was I was Drake one year.
You were Drake?
Yeah.
That's awesome.
It was like like this.
Like Degrassi Drake or?
Like cool Drake.
No, it was cool Drake.
It was Drake with the black hoodie and the baseball gloves.
It was an easy costume.
So, for a couple people just that I was not in costume because I I made my eyebrows like this thick and they just said I had big eyebrows.
So I was like, oh you're in costume?
I was like, yeah I'm Drake.
They were like, oh, okay.
That's so funny.
So, that was a bad
That's so funny.
Well we'll be excited to see what you guys are gonna do this year.
If I don't know, we should
We should be a
We should be our characters.
Oh yeah.
Maybe we should be each other's characters.
I don't think I'll
Oh, that's I'll do that.
Yeah.
We did actually switch wardrobe on the set.
Really?
Just Megan and I.
Oh, that's interesting.
How did that work out?
It as it turns out I can really rock a romper.
Oh, so great.
Your butt looked so much better than mine did and I was really upset about it.
You did?
I even I rocked the clutch as well.
Megan looked cool but Leo on the other hand.
You're not kidding.
No, and he's like holding the drink I would always have on set too.
I know.
Cool is all about just being confident in what you're wearing and if you rock a romper and that's what you want to do.
Yeah.
That's so funny.
Let's talk about being on set a little bit.
That that that's being on set.
That's what it's like.
That's being on set and that's a little freakish.
But,
Yeah.
Hey that was good.
Yeah, that's kinda freakish.
But was there anything that happened that was actually kinda like scary or that freaked you out while you were on set?
I'm looking at Melvin.
Dude, did you just hear that?
Yes.
School?
Were you studying on set?
Yep.
And that that freaked you out.
Yep.
You're not much of a studier?
No, you prefer
That's not my thing.
No, I think um in general there's a lot of makeup that goes into the freaks, right?
And so there would be days where, you know, coming in we'd read the scripts but we didn't know what these freaks were gonna look like.
And depending on the scenes they would change these prosthetics and makeup.
You know how to stay away from the camera.
They're both trying to show off their muscles.
They were doing this before we started rolling and blah.
So, there's some legitimately scary I'm just gonna get the wrapped this up.
But seriously, there was days where we'd walk in and these these freaks would be terrifying.
You remember the one guy with like the double chin.
Like it was really petrifying.
Like they would eat with the people and like makeup.
And I couldn't I couldn't eat with them.
It took a while though.
It took like a week before we could like actually do that.
I'm not against freaks.
It's like all people living or dead are created equal.
But it's like they were so nasty looking.
Like I couldn't eat.
It was really I something else.
It's it's because it's the idea of eating while you're looking at all like the.
It's not even like zombies, it's like decaying, you know, flesh.
And and without giving anything away, of course you don't wanna give too much away.
But what do you think people watching are gonna be most freaked out by while they're watching the series?
Why are they gonna be freaked out by this?
My insides.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's too much.
What does that mean?
I think there are some horrifying jump scares.
There's a lot of jump scares throughout the show.
When we even watched it like even scenes that both of us were in and we jump scared and we like both were oh my gosh this is freaky.
So I think it's definitely it was as scary as it was to like film it and be in it, like we got scared for scenes that we memorized lines for.
And it's some um it's some freakish make out scenes too that might freak you out.
Oh.
There we go.
Well, what about being behind the scenes together?
I mean, you guys all get along pretty well.
Most of the time.
All the time.
It's very we love each other.
That's so fun.
How is it doing doing a series or doing a show with with people that you get along so well with onset, off set?
How was it behind the scenes?
It totally changes it.
I mean, when you're I think we've all worked on shows before where
Dude, I just I'm just sitting.
I think we've all
That's how that's how women sleep.
Yeah, with your catamaran.
Do you see the strings?
What are those?
You're pretty flexible.
You're so tiny.
Your ankles are so small.
You think I shouldn't have cankles?
What do you want?
Guys, I was answering the question and then you interrupted me because I sound like a woman.
Uh, no, we've I think we've all worked on
Now, I don't know how to sit.
We've all worked on shows before where you don't necessarily feel welcome and you don't necessarily really like the people but we were a family from like the third day in and it totally made the environment more comfortable.
So the first three days sucked.
It was it was awful.
You were hiding in your trailer.
He wouldn't come out.
Oh, that's so funny.
And what about social media on set?
Do you guys I mean I know you're all social media gurus.
We couldn't do too much well personally for myself because we were on set for like 12 hour days and we couldn't do spoiler alerts and everything was a spoiler alert.
So it's like
It was a lot of like researching that.
Like friends stuff.
So I feel like I have friends in real life who will like recognize like the cast members when they see stuff now they're like, oh that's the kid who would wear like the green sweater and spit his food.
I'm like yes.
That's Tyler.
So like I think that was fun.
It was like I felt like at least with Snapchat wise like everyone got really excited about it.
No one had any idea what the premise of the show was because we're all like shooting in sequence.
But then we couldn't spoil anything.
But I think they got excited just based on like all the comments and like, oh my God I love you.
You had to fight the urge to like get on your Twitter and get on your Snapchat.
That's cool.
And and obviously you guys are all super into social media.
You're all influencers.
What is you know your way to get inspired or your creative process when it comes to social media, Vine, film, whatever.
Oh, he's laughing.
He doesn't have fun.
What's your inspiration?
Sorry.
I just like my water got in the wrong place.
Your question was one more time?
What is So when you're going to do a Vine or an Instagram, what is your do you have a creative process or do you have inspiration for what you post or is it just natural?
It's a question.
Yes, this is I mean all you got like I I I am a person that I never did like videos like them and I am absolutely blown away with it's a totally different type of skill to be able to get in front of a camera like this and be yourself.
It sounds crazy but to be able to entertain and be yourself is awesome and to wanna watch it, these guys are amazing at that and I think it's really cool to watch.
I went over to Megan's house, she was shooting a video and she was like, come and she invited Tyler and I, not them, just Tyler and I.
Just because you're special.
We're her favorites.
But getting on camera like walking in.
It's a totally different type of set than I've ever been on and I was terrified because it I was so out of my comfort zone.
Like they were like, okay just just uh go up there and just be funny.
But it's a different type of skill and I think it it deserves a lot a lot of respect because it it is something I swear to God.
It wasn't even intentional.
I love it.
Well, after the interview we will be having a arm muscle competition.
Honestly look, I'm just playing.
I can't compete with Leo.
Leo was like a judo.
Like a jujitsu.
And he's just over here with his long sleeves like, I'm sleeved up.
I'm chilling.
You know what I'm saying?
Chilling.
I'm fucking James Dean.
I'm just joking.
I got nothing against
Well, on that note, we have other things to continue after this interview.
So, see you next time.
