I wish there was an app that would track your thoughts and your dreams.
I don't think I want to track that. Did you ask me that question?
I know. I'm just telling I'm just giving you my two sides. I'm just saying. I'm just playing I'm just the PC and I'm a
Is there some tension? You know them from their roles on the big and small screens, and now they have a bumpin' app. Uh, we've got Travis Van Winkle, Justin Baldoni, hello. Did you like that? I was feeling it. Should we bump? Should we do a bump?
I think you I think we should do an inaugural bump. Yes. We should we should exploit on it, though. There you go. Let's take it to the next level. Let's do it together. Oh, all of us. Oh, Trifecta.
Just delete that after. We'll add some special effects, some CGI. Let's talk about the app first, because a couple of dudes got together, you guys.
Three dudes. Three dudes. One of them is is MIA today. Is MIA. Travis Clark.
A couple of dudes got together and put together a pregnancy app. Is this? That happens all the time. Really?
Absolutely. Look it up online. We are We are three men and a baby app.
You guys really are.
That's what we are.
How did this come about?
I had a crazy year last year. Uh, I got
You had a metaphorical belly bump.
I Yeah. So I my I had a baby mama on television. Oh, wow. And then I had uh my wife uh ended up becoming pregnant. I loved being involved in her pregnancy. Like it was one of these it's one of these life moments that you only get a couple times. I wanted to take these photos of her growing belly. I'm a filmmaker and I was like, you know, I I saw a bunch of those YouTube videos of like, you know, couples posting like their their belly's growing and I was like, okay, I'm going to totally make like a badass time-lapse movie of my wife's belly. And then I kept forgetting. And no matter like, I kept forgetting and I was like, I'm a horrible.
How did you forget? Like, were you just seeing it, like, every day?
I was seeing it grow but I kept forgetting to take a photo. And you have to like, it's got to be in the same place and you have to like line up the shot. It's very complicated. And it was complicated. So I was like, you know what? I should make an app that helps guys like take time-lapse Like me. Take time-lapse photos of their wife. So I called up Travis and I said, dude, I have this crazy idea. What if we built an app for pregnant women? And what if we found a way to help them capture and share their stories in a really cool way? And what if we found one more of our, you know, kind of celebrity friends and we we we were three men and a baby app. So our other good friend Travis Clark, he's the lead singer of We The Kings. His girlfriend had just got His wife had just gotten pregnant. And we decided to do it together. Yeah. And uh, nine months later, here we are.
How did the Bromance start? I'm curious, because you guys were friends before uh, developing this app.
Okay, so we met in in Leslie Kahn's acting class, and the first scene that we had
Which is a big acting class in town.
Big acting class. Very famous. He he had to all propose to somebody. And I watched Justin propose to whoever the, you know, said girl was in class. And I was like, man, he's good at that. He was really good at proposing.
What's the key to a good proposal? An acting proposal.
I don't know, because he He did it. Don't propose to me. But funnily enough, you know, ten years later, he had the most epic proposal to his wife. So it was just foreshadowing. Yeah. Um, but we uh, we met
Is this how you remember it, by the way, Justin?
Uh, not exactly.
Okay. Not exactly. Was it love at first sight for you?
It was. And now we're helping women grow.
Yeah, but also also on shows regularly and and super busy. So how did you find the time to even fit this in because developing an app and and pushing out there and and pushing out your baby if you will, is quite the process.
I'm always juggling and doing a lot of stuff, man. Cool. Uh, I think when certain ideas come, you know, you have to act on them. As far as time goes, I have this on my arm. It says, where there's love, nothing is too much trouble and there's always time.
Wow.
That's uh, that's a quote from the Baháʼí Faith. Travis and I are both Baháʼís. Okay. And uh, it's part of our spiritual journey is, if if there's love there, you will always find the time. And that's that's the same it's the same thing I use with my wife and my daughter and I think there's just always a way to
Is she here by the way?
She's somewhere. To create and do things that you feel like you're supposed to do.
Well, when it comes to your own app usage and your own tech usage, do you have a favorite app?
I'm into a paint app recently. I'm I'm redoing my home and and I have It's this paint app that just works so beautifully and you can put it up your wall and it'll help you go through the colors and it takes photos and you can order the paint and deliver it to your door. Nice.
What about for you? What's your favorite app?
I love apps that help me with efficiency.
I don't like those apps. Really?
No. Because it because it shows me like how much I'm procrastinating or how much time I'm spending doing, you know, like, it makes me just feel guilty.
You're using them wrong.
And then and then I have to and then I have to get an app to like measure how much my guilt is and like and then I have to use calm. Oh, man. That's a good app by the way. Help me measure your guilt and then eventually you can see it and then slowly let it diminish. Like, how would
Yeah. Do we like gamify this? Like what do we do with this? I was going to ask, Is there
Gamify your guilt. In hopes to remove it.
I think I think we just I think we're on to something, you guys. I think we can go create an app now. I feel like I I have a lot of stuff going on actually, you know, it's it's It's their guilt. Rejected. Oh, my guilt meter just like I just topped out. Okay, now I'll do it. I just wanted to add more guilt to make make this more meaningful this collaboration.
Is there a problem in your life that you wish there was an app for?
I wish there was an app that would actually literally create more time in the day. I would love that. That would be cool. That might disrupt the space-time continuum, but you know what?
Possibly. I wish there was an app that would track your thoughts and your dreams. So if you could actually
That's dangerous. That could be dangerous.
I don't think so. I think if you could track your dreams. If you woke up and you actually had a transcript of the dreams that you went through, you could do great things. So like it was connected to your brain. Somehow, some way.
And then what would you do with that? But then what would you do with that? Because that would be freaking.
You could you could track your subconscious mind and what it's trying to tell you.
I don't think I want to track that. I think
You asked me that question.
I know. I'm just telling I'm just giving you my two sides. I'm just saying. I'm just playing I'm just the PC and I'm a
Is there some tension?
We can't go into business together, Travis. That's what I'm saying.
Actually feels the fire that could be good. You know, yeah.
There's something going on with you guys. There's a therapy app I should recommend for both of you.
Wow. We have a therapy pillow. You're sitting on it right now. Yeah. This is good. It's supposed to pet it. This is good. Yes. Here, Justin, please, here, take it and
Let me tell you, you guys are involved in a lot of charitable causes. What's your Do you have a favorite cause?
Um, you know, I'm starting an organization called Love Life and we for the second year we had a big event and we brought a lot of really great people in to perform and to raise money for an organization I work for called Build On. Build On builds schools all over the world. So, for me, I'm I'm spending a lot of time creating opportunities for others to serve. And that's something that I've I've learned a lot from this guy where all of us want to serve, we just need a reason. And we all have so much to give, but if if if we're not focused, if we if we're not actively looking uh, for ourselves, sometimes it can get lost in our own stuff and forget to give back. So if if I make it easy for people to to give, I've seen that they show up. So much. And that's something that I've been really focused on recently that's brought a lot of value.
How many schools have you built?
Four, five? I'm on five. On five.
So, and raised a bunch of money and doing very cool things. You're really selling Travis.
I'm very proud of him. Very proud of him. Keep keep going. All right.
