Speaking of things creepy and maybe a little bit disgusting, Halloween is upon us. So I'm gonna get a bit festive on you guys. I brought in some little pumpkins. And I was thinking it could be fun to see who could draw the best deadite.

Welcome to Young Hollywood. I'm Molly Q and I am joined in studio today by Lucy Lawless and Bruce Campbell, AKA Ruby and Ash from Ash vs. Evil Dead. Thank you guys for being here.

Thanks for having us.

Did you guys meet on the set of Xena Warrior Princess? Or did you meet before that?

The man who would later become my husband set me up with his old buddy from America to have a chat. And we had to go for a walk and I'm like, who's this clown? It's so sad of her. But you know. And it was Bruce. And Bruce was there to teach me how to be a good star. A good TV star. Yeah. Do the work and not complain.

I first saw Lucy. I did not meet her. I first saw her on Air New Zealand doing a travel show. And I thought, hey, who's that hot blonde? She's a Kiwi. She'll probably work cheap. I think you should get her.

Is that is that how it went down in your did you remember it that way?

Anyway you say it is good with me. It was something like that.

I love it. And did you ever think after that show you'd be working together again?

Well, we had hoped it wouldn't come to pass, but you don't always get what you want, do you? Uh, we always ran into each other, you know, over the years only because she's married to a good friend and partner of mine. So, I have to see her. You know, like pass the butter, that kind of deal. But it makes it easier. We've known each other. We know each other's foibles because I taught her how to be a good TV star. She, look at her. She's done all right for herself. I gotta say.

You know? I'm proud of her. I'm really, really proud of her. One of these days she's gonna find like a decent job.

Can you just give him like a little sucker punch?

No, no, every now and again I wind up for a big one. No, he lets me pick on her for like an hour and a half and then cheap shot and an hour. So by the end of the interview, we'll we'll all be prepared.

I love it. Well, jumping back of course for fans that are waiting, do you have any teasers?

It's massive. It's a really ferocious pace. It was really hard to shoot though, wasn't it?

It was tough. It was a barn burner as they say in the business. In old Hollywood they say barn burner when when it was a difficult scene. That's the main point. That's in the basement. There's a studio called Old Hollywood, where we hang out.

Yeah, and Young Hollywood would say it was gnarly. It was a gnarly scene.

It was gnarly. I do fight a possessed colon.

And how would you even elaborate that? Do you expect someone to explain that?

Yeah, I don't even know how to explain that. How could I? Colon comes from one spot. It winds up around Ash and then the colon wants to go back home and rest. Okay. That's one of the many things that you will find that will challenge your your life views. And your nervous system.

Oh, this, look at this. Look at Lucy. I'm getting ahead 'cause he's blah, blah, blah-ing. She's all like, this is great. Now, don't carve don't draw something, Lucy that Young Hollywood can't carve.

I wish you guys could. Well, I don't know. Hers is pretty artistic over here.

They've got a little buddy. They've got laser printers out the back. They're gonna carve this thing and make it. They're gonna 3D scan this. That's what they're gonna do.

I love that. Well, while you guys are working on those, is it New Zealander or should I just say Kiwi?

Kiwi terms? Doesn't matter. And it's not a fruit, by the way. It's a bird. We hate that. We hate it when people say, oh, you're named after a little hairy fruit. It's like, no.

See, but that's something a lot of people don't know.

Well, Kiwis, tell them. It's not a fruit. It's a term. It's inappropriate. It's culturally insensitive of us that we make the mistakes.

What are some other New Zealand Kiwi terms?

When you have a tantrum, you spit the dummy. A dummy is a pacifier. Yeah, you spit the dummy. Yeah, like a baby spitting the dummy when it's so pissed off, it won't even. It spits the dummy in order to cry. Or throw your toys out of the cot. That's that's just like spit the dummy. It's like spit the dummy even more so. Oh, yeah, you throw all of those toys out of the cot.

Yeah. Packs are sad. Um, that's kinda what I'm going with. I'm a traditional guy. Slanty eyebrows means it's angry. Okay. Triangle nose. I'm traditional. Got it. And somebody punched this guy in the mouth when he was young, so it's it's tooth challenged. And then I want to cut this lid out and I'm gonna put the song Papa Ooma Mao in there and so you every time you raise the lid, you go Papa Ooma Mao, Papa Ooma Mao. Freaky deaky. Got it. I'm anatomically correct.

And what about Lucy? How are you gonna carve that crap right there? That's a little gorpy. You got eyebrows that are moving. To be carved, I think yours wins. In general, I'm going with Bruce.

Molly, you are an ambassador. Therefore that means I think we both win, Young Hollywood.
