Good, how are you?

I'm good, until my dog just left me for you immediately. So This is Georgie is your dog. She's surprisingly, yes. And she has made herself very comfortable. Be a lady, please. Be a lady. This is Rebecca Romaine. Come on. Show some respect. Pull it together, Georgie. Wow. The Librarians, you started and you know, you were this colonel. You didn't even want to be part of the back.

No, I don't believe in Colonel Eve Baird is a NATO counter-terrorism expert. Hardcore. She's hardcore. And she is not interested in magic. Right. Right. She's kind of annoyed by she's kind of annoyed by everything actually. Right, right. Everything sort of ticks her off.

Thankfully, you're not like Eve. So that's good.

Nothing like Eve. Listen, it's a fun fantasy adventure show. We don't take ourselves seriously in the slightest. It's not all real. There's nothing real about our show. Oh.

No, well, because magic.

I was full. Our show is limitless, because magic. Okay. Okay. We explain everything because magic.

Amazing cast to work with. We've got Noah Wyle, we've got the great Lindy Booth, the great Christian Kane, John Larroquette.

John Larroquette, yeah. If you ever watched Night Court, incredible. Back in the day. Yeah. Yeah. Dan Fielding. I watched it. I watched it. You won a lot of Emmys for that.

He won quite a few, I think. He won a lot of.

Do you do your own stunts?

I do my own stunts. Because it was always they give me they give me a lot of running. And, you know, um I hate running.

You do? I hate it. You look good when you're running. I watched a few clips of you running. Obviously for the for this interview. Not like I was like just I was Googling Rebecca Romaine running. Kind of weird.

We shoot uh seven we shoot seven-day episodes, which means we shoot very very quickly. And oftentimes we learn our fight scenes 30 seconds before we shoot them. And if we get, it's dangerous, and it's fast. And if we get anywhere in the neighborhood of what it's supposed to be in the first take, we move on.

You've done loads of movies as well. You know, X-Men Mistake that we we touched touched on at the very start of the interview, which is huge. Is it very different then? Cuz movies.

It's very different. You know, in movies because the budget and the schedule allows, sometimes they'll take up to three days to shoot one scene. And while the end product is amazing, because you spend so much time on it, um it can be it can be boring. Okay. And I love working in hour-long television, because the pace is so quick. And it's it's uh you feel a deep sense of accomplishment at the end of each day. Right. Right. And I love that momentum. You know, I love shooting 10 pages in a day. It just feels like you get so much done. And you're you never stop. And it's Just keep it going. It's satisfying. Yeah, I love it. I love it.

That's true. That's true. Dan. And mentioning uh uh X-Men. Obviously that's a superhero world, and this is a magical world. Which one do you prefer?

Well, they're both genre. Right. And um they're both sci-fi. And I love working in genre. First of all, genre fans are the best.

You always do. Yeah. You seem to work in there a lot.

Yeah, I love it. And genre fans are are the most appreciative. And you as an actor you never want to let them down, because they're just they really you want to get it right for them. They're passionate.

They're very it's a very passionate fan base.

So I I love working in genre. Um, the X-Men world is obviously superheroes. The Librarians world, we are not superheroes. We're highly skilled.

You are in my eyes. Normal people. You are a superhero in my eyes.

You were a sci-fi fan growing up as well. So Star Wars.

Star Wars. Star Wars. Star Wars. Star Wars. I watched that before I watched Star Wars.

What is Star Wars again?

Star Wars was about um it was about uh people in space that were there. Oh. And then they left. Yeah. Okay. So that's Oh, the Star Wars. Original Star Wars. And because they got so angry, yeah, they started a war and that was Star Wars. Oh my gosh. Yeah. A lot of people don't know that. So when are they gonna do that prequel?

I think they I think they're gonna do it.

I was brought on as a consultant and then let go. Um.

You were let go? They don't like that idea? I think it's a great idea. Yeah, I think it's a great idea. Yeah. We could do it together. Okay. Okay, great. Great. Yeah.

No, I I Star Wars was my first favorite movie when I was I saw it in the theaters. Right. I think I was six years old. Um and I was I loved Star Trek. Okay. Uh Jonathan Frakes, who plays Riker on Star Trek is one of our directors on The Librarians. He's he's fantastic. Oh, wow. Yeah. You know a little uh insider little bit of information? I don't think a lot of people know this. I've got like a Spock ear. It's supposed to be called a Spock ear.

Yes, you do. Look. You see that? That's weird. We look great. Probably you could get that taken care of. Okay. You could probably get that taken off.

My dad says it was where he pulled me out during pregnancy.

Do you have it on the other side, too?

No. No. No.

I want you to embrace it either more or get rid of it. Okay. Because it's grossing me out. I'm just kidding. Talk to the ear because the rest isn't listening. Um. Skin Wars. Skin Wars. That's exciting. Uh-huh. Body painting. Body painting. Body painting. I've always been a fan of that.

Yeah, you've been body painted before?

I haven't. I haven't. I've I've seen people that are body painted. Yeah. It's great.

Uh it's a funny thing being body painted.

Is it?

Yeah.

Is it? You've been body painted, obviously.

I was body painted for all three of those X-Men movies. Yeah. Yeah. That that was body paint. I was body painted for uh Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. I was the first model painted for the Swimsuit Issue. Okay. Um and it's a trip being painted. You don't feel naked once you're painted.

Yeah, I've never got them I'm like Chewbacca under here. Oh, yeah. So, I don't think the body the paint wouldn't stick.

Well, you know, there we have ways. Yeah, we can

Okay. If you were going to paint me, what's

I'm not a body painter.

No, but if you were going to. It's like we've done an episode of Skin Wars and we were like let us you've said to the viewers, let's mix this up. Let's do something different. Yeah. What what colors would you use? What pattern? I don't know why I got all like that then. I got all excited.

I don't know why you did either. I would probably blend you into your back I would blend you into your set. How cool would that be? Yeah, camouflage you right here on this sofa. And I'd be like a Young Hollywood mystique. But you know what? I would leave your weird pointy ear. Just sticking out. Just sticking out. Just sticking out. Yeah. Hello. Just make it all about that ear. Just sticking out. Because obviously it'd be Irish. Uh It's kind of leprechauny.

Yeah, is that what that is? I don't know. Just trying to save myself right now. We can't all be the Librarians. Some of us have dodgy ears. That's right. Can't help it. Oh, God. Why did I even point that out?
