Oh, yeah. Yes, because no, I've not been sitting for a while.

You're always on the move.

Kind of. Yes. And now, especially busy. Yeah, it's been it's been an amazing, tumultuous weekend. Right. I've been in New York. I've been in LA. Now I'm going back to Montreal, and I've lost my voice, and Georgie has a great life. I'm envious of Georgie. That's how bad it is.

Right. Feel free if you want to just lay down and relax it. It's fine. It's a very casual interview here at Young Hollywood. It's fine.

Quantico, uh, this is exciting.

It's exciting. You know, I I've been working as an actor for such a long time in India and uh and now to be to be doing this in a new country after, you know, having worked in movies for 15 years, it's like, come on.

Right. 49 films, right? Is that right? Am I right?

Almost 49. Almost 50. One 49 and a half. I'm still doing one. I think 49 sounds like more though, cuz 50 is just a round number. 49 is better. 49 and a half. Yeah. Not that you shouldn't do another one, but obviously for now it's great.

Okay, but there you go.

I have one releasing in December and I have another one releasing in March. And once I finish this season, I go and shoot another one.

Right, right. Look at that. But this was your TV Hollywood debut.

This was my America anything. I've not done anything, um, outside of India, except my music, which was also just four singles. Um, so yeah, this is my my big coming out party.

It's nice. Nice. We we all need one of those. We all need one of those.

Yeah, we all need like our faces plastered all over America for your coming out party. Yeah. I mean if you're going to do it, do it big.

This is this is one way to do it. This is one way to do it. Um and am I right in saying this was your first audition ever? I read this, but I I was like, can that be real?

Yeah. Um, well, technically, yes. I'll tell you why. Because um, when I became when I joined movies, I was already Miss World. So movies started coming my way just because I was Miss World. So people were like, oh, you know what? She's a beauty queen. People know her. Easy way to get her into a movie, you know. So that's how I was cast in a few films, but my first few films did really well. So then I started getting movies on merit. So I didn't really have to like

It's brilliant. I mean if you don't have to, why bother? Don't ask too. Just roll with the punches.

And then I did here and I was very nervous and I was in the bathroom for like 15 minutes before I had to go in for the audition. And I was like, you know what? Talking to myself and saying, what's the big deal? There's just like an empty room, tube lights and one camera and 20 people staring at you. Right. What's the worst that could happen? Um, actually it wasn't that bad. Except when I walked in, you know, people are just like staring at you and you're supposed to be funny and emotional and charming with like It's really intimidating.

Well clearly it went well.

Oh, yeah. I mean, I kind of landed the job. Yeah. So one in one.

One in one. This is good. It's 100% track record.

100% track record. I'm not saying you should give up now. You should definitely carry on, but one in one is a pretty way. I'm open to auditions, okay? Yeah, I'm open to auditions.

She's got a good good track record. Um, but yes, uh, talking about the show, it's uh, it's a you you're a female Jason Bourne.

Well, I said that because I'm a big fan of Jason Bourne. No, but it's the kind of And Matt Damon. Just putting it out there. But I love the Bourne series. Right. And I see Alex like that. Um, but a lot of people came and told me she's a lot more like Jack Bauer. I'll take it. Okay, either one of those. Either one of those is great.

Yeah, the show starts, everything seems to be going well. You're in training. And then everything seems to go very wrong very quickly. Of course, like good TV. This is it. Gordon Ramsay once said that don't ever let real life spoil good TV. Right.

You know what? So that's what this this show is totally that. It's quintessential pop television. Right. It's it's not like oh, I'm art, take me seriously. But at the same time, it doesn't take your intelligence for granted, you know, so it's it's good.

Right. And you're you're you're an you're trying to be in the in the FBI.

Well, I'm trying. And then you're their top. Yes. Yeah, and then.

Top recruit there. Top recruit and then suddenly it just

They frame me. They framed the brown girl. Right. They do. I I didn't say that. You said that. I didn't go there. You went there. But that's the beauty of this show that it breaks so many stereotypes. What you expect is what won't happen.

In in part of your training, you your job is to research and find out stuff about you the each other around you and then you have to interview them. So I kind of realized like I was watching it, I'm like, I'm kind of in the FBI.

Yeah. These these I'm hoping these are true because otherwise I won't make it as an agent, but for now we're we're put to now.

And the first thing you do when you land in LA is you go to an in and out.

In and out. This is where all the foreigners go. Apparently, so do the locals. That's what I've been told.

Um another fact though. 15 flights a month you do. Cuz you're on the move a lot, right? You're New York, LA, Mumbai.

Montreal now because that's where we're filming. But um, I do have like an active career in India and an active career here. I'm still doing movies there and I'm doing this show here and I'm doing music here and I'm doing music there. Such a lot of things.

There are. There are, yeah. There are. When you when you're on the go and you obviously pick up you're going to you're going to the airport. What are the first five things that you're like, I've got to pack. You can't leave home without. That come to mind.

Well, usually now I can't even pack because I usually leave from set. So I have a team of professionals.

You have professional packers around you.

All my stuff. This is amazing. Cuz there's no time from I always end up going from set to the airport, landing somewhere and then going to set. So I usually never even look at my bags and I have to pray and hope that they get it right. Okay. And usually they do.

You've got a love a lot of faith in your team there.

Yeah, my team is a well-oiled machinery.

Between those three cities, LA, New York, Mumbai. We'll see how this goes. If you had to describe each city in one sentence. So one sentence to describe LA in your words.

Oh my God, you don't even need a sentence. You need a word. It's called Californication. Okay, that's LA. That's LA. What about New York?

It's a melting pot of of the globe, I feel. It represents everyone.

That's good for the New York travel guide. That's good.

No, but it is, you know, you meet everyone from everywhere, food from everywhere, people from everywhere. It's like a representation of what the world looks like almost.

Okay. And then Mumbai.

Oh, Mumbai. So I've never been. Mumbai is magical. It it it's the kind of city that becomes whatever you want it to be. It caters to everything and it never sleeps. It's kind of like New York like that.

Okay. I'm there. I'm there. I'm now going to travel. I'm taking next week off. Taking next week off. I'm going to jump on 15 planes.

Okay, okay. Um and just to touch base on the other the amazing stuff you do. You work with a lot of charities as well.

Yes, I do.

And organizations. Tell us about that.

You know, it's not it's not that I woke up one day and I was like, oh, I want to change the world. Right. Um, I was Miss World and that's what I'm meant to do. But I think my parents both were doctors and um since I was growing up, it was a big part of my life. We used to take the ambulance and go into villages in India and my parents would just see patients who didn't who couldn't afford to come to a hospital and it was my job to be in the pharmacy and like count how many pills go out and you know, um help the pharmacist and stuff like that. So it it was it give giving back to society something that I think was something I just I feel like it's a social responsibility for anyone. Right. Not just a public person. And you know, it's not like you have to change your life for it, really. It's just empowering or changing or helping someone, you know, have something better, especially if we're so blessed with everything that we have. I do a lot of work with the UN with the UNICEF. I have my own foundation for health and education. I do a lot of work with the education and the rights of the girl child and for the green work. I believe in a green world.

It's amazing. I've got terrible like guilt at the moment just sitting still listening to everything this young lady does. I feel like I should be doing more.

Multitasking is like a woman's superpower. It's okay. Don't worry. Okay, don't worry. Okay, don't worry.

We're already gone there. Okay, we're going to wrap this up now because it's I I'm doing the interview and I've got the power right now. Oh. I can't believe she said. Men can multitask too. Really?
