Welcome. You came into town how long ago and you're already hanging out with the cast of Entourage? What's that about?

I have no idea. It was it was a great night though.

So it was for the premiere?

I did. Yeah. I did.

First premiere?

First movie premiere.

And so, did it live up to the hype or was it was it different than you thought it would be? How was it?

It I don't know what it's it's tiring. You know, you answer a lot of questions. You you walked down, you think it's just a walk on the on the red carpet but no, it takes at least 20 minutes. And you got to answer a a million questions over and over again.

I will try not to ask you anything that you were asked last night. Okay. Okay. I know it's gonna be tough. So did you hang out with any of the boys? Because I know you're a fan of the show.

I am.

Who did you get to hang out with?

Well, I got a chance to meet Mark Wahlberg who is, you know, obviously, I'm a I'm a fan of. Yeah. The Fighter is actually one of my my favorite movies of all time.

It's an awesome movie.

It is. Um, I was just there just to soak in the whole event. It's my first, like I said, it's my first premiere and I had a lot of fun.

So you went to the after party?

I did.

And you're a new dad. So, how do you how does that work if you're up, you know, with a one-year-old and then you gotta stay up late? Are you like good with staying up late as you used to be or?

Honestly, it was just good for me to get out of the house. You know, he he runs me ragged.

So you also came in for Sports Spectacular. Tell me a little bit about that and sort of like your involvement with it.

Well, it was great. Um, basically they're trying to, you know, uh, eradicate diabetes. With what I do, I I'm forced to live a, you know, a more active lifestyle. But, you know, we have to keep promoting it and make sure everybody's is doing something.

So, to set an example, how do you eat fresh?

How do I eat fresh? As a kid, I had high cholesterol. So, I've always had to kind of watch what I eat. Not too much dairy. And, uh, I have a sweet tooth, man. So I just have to kind of limit.

You allow yourself to sort of have those you know, when you have your cheat days.

Yeah, you have to. If you work hard, you kinda have to, you have to be able to enjoy some time off of of of being so strict on yourself. Right.

So, where do you see, um, your career going?

Well, our team is in a transition stage. We have a new coach and we're getting to the point where I think we can get a lot better, but we have to work for it. So, um, me as being one of the leaders, I have to try to help, um, make that as quick as possible.

What do you know now that you didn't know?

I'm the type person you learn until you die. Hopefully, you learn something every day and I try to learn something from every experience. This is my third team. I feel like I've learned something every time. So, uh, just uh experience, what I can bring to the team, what I can bring to these young fellas. That I feel I feel so old. I'm only 28 and like everybody's like, Isn't that crazy? 22 and 3. I feel old. But, uh, you know, just try to help help the, um, young younger generation.

How did you come up with the "Be Great" hashtag "Be Great"?

I was born in August, 86. Uh, that was my eighth year. I was the eighth pick in the draft. So, eight was was a big part of my life. And, you know, just trying to be great. I've been trying to be great my whole career. So and, uh,

Well, you've had a long career.

I have.

Um, what do you attribute that to? When you say, you know, "Be Great," what does that sort of encompass?

Hard work, man. You just, uh, every day you have to wake up and try to be great.

And you're also known as one of the best dressed players in the league. How does how did that sort of come from? Who do you hear that? You were named like one yeah. It was like one of the best dressed ballers. Really? Okay. Thanks. Because I like the little, you know, what you got going on now. Oh, thank you. How would you describe your style?

Fashionable, yet comfortable. Yeah, and when it's time to be uncomfortable, I feel like you have to you have to adhere to the rules. You know, sometimes you have to wear a tuxedo and have to wear shoes that don't don't fit as well.

Do you have a signature, do you think? Do I have a signature? Yeah. Sneakers? Do you have like some crazy sneakers?

I do have a I have a problem when it comes to sneakers. All shoes, not just sneakers. I have a problem.

I can relate. Girls can relate to that.

Yeah, I don't think Yeah. See, growing up for me, I I always like always like shoes, but I couldn't afford them. So the time that I could get them, I kinda went overboard. So I have like over a thousand pair.

Do you have, um, that's insane, by the way.

I told you I have a problem.

Where do you keep them all?

I have a really big closet.

Wait, that was a line in Sex and the City.

Was it?

Yeah, I think you just quoted Carrie Bradshaw. Have you seen that movie?

No.

You're married. Your wife hasn't made you?

No, I try not to.

Not into the chick flicks?

No. No.

Has there been one you liked?

One I liked. No, I watched Vampire Diaries. I do like that show.

Really? It's weird, right?

No, that's awesome. No, it's weird. It's dark.

Okay, so you. It's kind of like, you know, guys could like it.

No. Maybe. No, it's more for like 13-year-old girls.

Yeah, it's even worse. Not only girls, but 13-year-old girls. So I know you also like baseball.

I do. I do.

Still play?

No, I don't. I tried. I tried maybe a couple years ago. And, um, it it wasn't what I had envisioned, so I just gave it up.

So, other than that, any other hidden talents or sports you're great at that people don't know about?

I'm pretty much okay at everything. True story.

Just okay at everything. All sports or all things in general?

All things in general.

Really? I feel like putting you to the test. Okay. I don't know how I would do that. But any other hidden talents that you have?

Honestly, I'm I'm boring. I really just, uh, I'm in the gym most of the time. Yeah. I listen to a lot of music and, uh,

Can you sing?

I mean, no, I cannot sing. I'm terrible. I wouldn't even I wouldn't even ruin your ruin the set like that.

And what will you do, um, with the rest of your time in LA? Do you like coming here?

I I do like coming here. Um, LA is, uh, LA is like one of my favorite places. You know, I live in Florida. And that's another one of my favorite places. And I'm from Baltimore, so that's the ultimate.

What's your favorite cuisine out of all of them? Because Florida's pretty good.

It is. Um, my favorite cuisine anything I can eat. Like I said before, I just I'm not really picky when it comes to that.
