So for people who don't know, when you are training for a fight, just break it down. How many hours a day are you training?

Manny Pacquiao

Oh, I'm, I jog in the morning.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. How how far are you jogging? Make me jealous. How many miles?

Manny Pacquiao

So, one hour.

Young Hollywood

One hour jogging without stopping?

Manny Pacquiao

No.

Young Hollywood

Oh my gosh. You can do that, you can do that. I can do about a minute. Maybe a minute and a half.

Manny Pacquiao

Yeah, so one hour. and then afternoon one to four o'clock. Fighting.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, at the gym. Yeah. I saw some of that behind the scenes. Some of the people. When when you have these guys that come to the gym, 'cause in Los Angeles, it was these guys and they're all boxers. Yeah. Do they think, okay, I'm gonna fight Manny. Do they go hard at you?

Manny Pacquiao

In in in training, some some some boxers, they want to spar with me.

Young Hollywood

I bet. And they go home and they tell all their friends, Guess guess who I fought today? And yeah. So, do you think they try harder? They're like, I'm gonna, you know, go at them.

Manny Pacquiao

Some of them.

Young Hollywood

How do you every time you go into the ring and you face a new opponent? How do you make it a fresh take every time?

Manny Pacquiao

Just I just focus. Focus and I always think um when I get into into the ring to fight, you know, it's it's hard to change your mood, but uh I have to.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. At what point, when you step into the ring, do you go it's gonna?

Manny Pacquiao

When I step into the ring, I have to to change my my mood. I have uh you know, I have to change my mood to uh to become a fighter.

Young Hollywood

And how do you do that? Years of training?

Manny Pacquiao

Well, think about the the sacrifice that uh that you you did in training, like like that.

Young Hollywood

It's amazing though, because you can walk in and I think your opponent That would make me more mad as your opponent to say, He's having a good time. You know, most people, you know, they they talk smack or they, you know, they get they get that face. And you're just like, hey, hey, hey, boom. Done. It's it's incredible.

Manny Pacquiao

It's kind of um embarrassing to my opponent because they think I love it. They're going to they're gonna think that he think that I'm I'm easy opponent for him.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, no, they think they think like, wait, this is easy for him. You know, you make it you make it look easy. Do you work on that? Because I know obviously, I was in the I was I watched you train for an entire day and physically, it's very intense, but mentally, how do you work on that?

Manny Pacquiao

Mentally is um you have to work also. When you train for your physical body, you have to train also for uh mentally, of course, uh spiritually. I every time I I'm preparing for a battle, I always prepare and train and spiritually and mentally and physically. You know, when you get into the fight or engaged into the battle, it's you know, scared. You're not you're happy, excited. Yeah, to perform.

Young Hollywood

So I looked on your Twitter page and your last tweet was calling out Floyd Mayweather, saying, Let's make this happen in 2015. I interviewed you three years ago and I asked you the same question. If and when it was going to happen. Um, why do you think it hasn't happened yet?

Manny Pacquiao

My promoter and I were were already agreed. Yeah. I know. You said, I signed it. Agreed already. Um the terms and condition that he want. And then we're just waiting for a signed contract. And I don't know what's the reason why he didn't he didn't sign it yet. You know, it's hard. A little bit. I I don't want to say yes, it's afraid, but uh it's kind of that, you know, when you when you when you don't sign the contract and don't fight, you know. But uh I want this fight happen because of uh of the fans, you know. Everywhere I go, even not in America and or in the Philippines, I mean other country, they keep on asking me, When this fight happen? When this fight happen? When this fight happen? So, like millions of uh question, millions of people are

Young Hollywood

You mean I'm not the first person to ask you that question?

Manny Pacquiao

Same question. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

It's because people do want it so much. But why do you say you don't necessarily want it as much as as the fans?

Manny Pacquiao

Well, for me, the most important thing is the the fans because uh because of them, I become like this, you know.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I know I'm not the first.

Manny Pacquiao

I become uh what I have right now. Yeah. Because of the fans.

Young Hollywood

What is your best memory in the ring?

Manny Pacquiao

The my best memory of course, happy memory is when I I won a title with uh with Oscar De La Hoya. Because Oscar De La Hoya is my my favorite fighter.

Young Hollywood

Manny Pacquiao

Yeah. He's uh very friendly person.

Young Hollywood

You're both you both sort of known to be that. And there's a lot of people like me and whether like other fighters who their style is to sort of smack talk. Do you know what I mean? They sort of speak out and that's their style. That's not your style.

Manny Pacquiao

That's not my style, you know. I want um I want to inspire people even in my in my words coming out of my mouth.

Young Hollywood

But when people do that, does that motivate you even more?

Manny Pacquiao

Yeah. Um when when people talk like that, you know, it's it's kind of, you know, I I have to teach him.

Young Hollywood

You're like, We'll take this up later.

Manny Pacquiao

Yeah. Keep the fighting inside the ring. Yes. And not outside the ring. Keep the fight is inside the ring, but outside the ring is, you know.

Young Hollywood

Do you feel fortunate? Do you feel every day, do you feel that, you know, lucky and and thankful?

Manny Pacquiao

Well, I always feel that I I'm blessed. If I think back, look back my life from nothing into something. So raised me raised me up in this position.
