You're shaking things up since you've walked into the studio. He shook down our CEO. There you go. That's what we got to do. I have. I am not. He didn't he didn't have like a a a tag or anything, though. No, he didn't have a name tag. Right. Does anybody intimidate you either in the scene or outside of acting?
Sure. I think outside of acting, the only thing that could really intimidate me is the IRS. Nigeria. That's about it.
Terrifying. Oh, yeah, man. I hate them. They're actually quite nice if you ever talk to them.
No. I've had to talk to them a few times.
Really?
Yeah. I mean, I don't get really intimidated by people because, you know, I don't intimidate, but then again, if you were to run into me like in an alley at 2:00 in the morning. And I'm just walking, you know, Then what do you do? Give me a tip because I'm not that intimidating. What do you do?
Yeah, if I'm walking in a dark alley and I want to be a little more intimidating, what do I do?
New Yorker. Man, you just keep looking right ahead of you and you keep walking. Don't make eye contact. And whatever you do, as you're passing that person, please don't stumble. You know what I'm saying? Don't wear these then. Actually, they would make a good weapon.
True. Is that a a dinner that you did with Jon Favreau, a director, I think, said to you, okay, we're going to act and you said, I don't act. I just do it. You just do it.
Yeah, that was Brian De Palma that told me that. Yeah. He said, okay, everybody, it's time to act. And I called him and I, Brian, come here. Come here, bro. I'm. I just got to tell you something, Brian, that I don't act, I just do it. So then he announced, okay, everybody, act. Louie's going to do it. That's what I did. And Ana Maria, it's starting. Turn it up. No, me toques. This arena is so dirty. I wish that was my life.
What's happening? We're talking, you were talking about just doing it in homage to Ana Maria in Novella Land, your film. I'm going to do a little telenovela acting. Oh, boy, I can't wait. Louise. There's something I need to tell you. I'm pregnant. And you're the father.
I must tell you. I shoot blanks. I can't be the father.
Did I have something else to tell you? Yes. I've had a dalliance. I'm in love with another woman.
Wait, did you say you're in love with another woman?
Yes, that too. I am so happy for you. I am so happy for you. No. Oh, after that, I think I'm in love with you again. No. I want to slap you now. Oh. Oh, can I please slap you back just once? Yes. Okay. There. How was that? And uh yeah, I can't wait for the Emmy the Emmys to give us a phone call for that one. Anyway, this film, it's adorable. There's like a bolt of lightning and the two females in the film trade places. Uh-huh. Who would you like to trade places with for a day and live their life?
That's about I think I think that surfer guy that rode that 50-foot wave.
I love it.
You know what I'm saying? Who wait, who was it? Some crazy kind of dude that and it's like if you get slammed by a 50-foot wave, that that'll be the your last day surfing. It's just the rush. Just the rush.
Do you surf?
No.
You just picked that one out of it. Pick that one out of it. Um, and also in the film, the lead actress sort of says, Ana Maria says, I'm in the best worst dream ever. What was that your best or your worst dream ever?
No. What was my best or my worst dream? Oh, God, my best dream was maybe parachute jumping one time. And then I realized in the middle of the dream that I didn't have the parachute. But it was beautiful nonetheless.
What did you when you were a kid? Did you dream of it? Because I read that you became an actor as a dare.
Oh, yeah, well, here's what happened, okay? When I was in high school, my gym teacher was directing the school play that year. So I walked in and said, dude, you can't even run a gym class. You're going to direct a play. And so he took a script and he threw it at me and said, let's see what you can do. And it was like, oh, I can't back down from this. After that, I did like my first night performance. I was a nervous wreck. The next the next night it was like, I got this. I went off book and everything. I changed I changed the whole outcome of the play.
And last but not least, I read the cutest thing about you. I think an article came out a few. You call yourself a rooster. You get up at 4:00 a. m. every day. Is this the truth?
That was an ex-periment. I get up at 6:00 a. m.
Wow. Well, you know, I live in Vermont. I know. Is that is that a choice like to not live in Hall I know you have children and you
Well, I I have four children. I have one of my own. I said to myself, I don't want to raise my kids in an apartment. I want my kids to experience what it is to have a childhood, to get on a bike, to go down the dirt road. But I've been really fortunate with my career because my children have traveled with me. They've seen the world. They've seen different things culturally and things like that. So, I think I did a great thing by raising them in that environment.
This was a pleasure having you here.
Oh, thank you. Thank you very much.
You've done a great job.
No, you've done a great job.
No, I said it first, baby.
Oh, you. I'll give you that. I'll give you that.
