I mean, have you ever time traveled with clothes on? Definitely not. It's dangerous. Dangerous.
They literally finished the movie midnight before the day they needed to deliver it. I'm Oliver T here on the Young Hollywood sofa with J Courtney. How are you?
I'm good, bro. How are you doing?
I'm glad you stopped in.
Yeah, me too.
You're a bit bigger than last time. You don't stop working out, do you?
I've been eating and lifting a little. It's it's yeah, started to make me bigger. Well, I'm on a job at the moment where they finally gave like gave me the green light to like gain some weight. Right. Normally it's about trying to get slim and they were like big. Yeah, I just get the slim memo. Right. Just keep getting the slim memo. That's my excuse.
You're you're lucky. You're one of those like you're like a, you know, you're a skinny, which is good.
Thanks. I'd rather be in that territory than like Okay. Okay. You know.
Well, clearly it's not going bad for you being in the territory you're in. It's all right. We've uh Terminator Genesis, which I had the pleasure of seeing last night. And it is it's everything you want it to be. It's great. It's fun. It's a fun ride. It reminded me of the feeling I got when I watched the first Terminator. It's got all of it in there. There's some I actually particularly like there's some of those couple of sequences we recreated shot for shot. Right, right. And when I saw them back, I was like, it felt like I was back in watching the scene the first one again, but That must have been surreal going into a movie like that especially.
Yeah. It's it's cool, you know, It's a funny thing cuz it's we're cutting that balance between you know, it's not a remake or a sequel or prequel, you know, but uh there are certain odds to you know, moments that are very familiar to to fans of the early movies. You know, at a certain point we tear up the book and kind of it all goes to ride your own lane.
Yeah. You get two Onies for the price of one. That was insane. Yes. How is? You know who I am? We've been prepping for you to arrive for over a decade. We we Terminator. It is nice to meet you. I've been trying to teach him to blend in. I know it needs work. But you have seen the movie.
I have seen the film, yeah, of course. Yes. Uh and it's such a thrill when something like this, I mean, they literally finished the movie midnight before the day they needed to deliver it. And I think it's because I mean it's so it is heavy on visual effects and that sort of stuff. There's so much of it that you're, you know, creating with your own imagination when you shoot something like this. Right. That uh to see all the work that's gone in in the the 12 months after you left is amazing. You know, I love to come back to something like this and and and see what people have been able to create and uh it really is a triumph. We get to step off set and maybe go on another job and you know, there's 150 people working day and night to to actually get this to where it is now.
Yeah, I've seen a lot of movies in 3D but this one really does hit you. It's there.
Yeah, it's there.
Now, you mentioned your beard. We were talking about your beard. And when you said about your job that you've you've cut your beard for. Suicide Squad. I have to mention that.
Suicide Squad. Yeah. Yeah, it's going good, man. We're uh shooting in Toronto at the moment with a small cast that you mentioned.
Small cast. Yeah.
couple of couple of unknowns.
Couple of unknowns. They want to give people a people a break on that movie apparently.
That's it. Yeah. Yeah, it's all about launching careers.
And Will Smith and whoever else?
There's a few. Um but uh I'm having a ball, man. Yeah, I I did get the pleasure of a of a haircut that I'm not so fond of, but it's working It works. It's working well. This is very in fashion right now. The long on top, short sides.
Oh, yeah, it's in all the fashion magazines. I know.
Well, Captain Boomerang's just style guru. That's him. Terminator Genesis. check it out.
Yeah. Check it out. It's absolutely awesome. It's got this guy in it. All of him. This this all of this.
Far too much of it. This monster. This is no is guy.
