That was like real suspense. Comedy suspense. It was like no, no, no. You like no, don't do it. No, don't do it. I love that so much. It was like frightening. I. That feeling of having to throw up and you can't is right. And also you say swallow it like a girl would. And it was like, I, I felt that. It was empowering. I'm Oliver here on the Young Hollywood sofa. With the lovely Ilaina Glazer and Gillian Bell. It's Christmas.
It is.
In the studio as well. It is very Christmasy. I turned up to I couldn't believe it. I walked in and I was shocked. And your get up. This is cool. We did it, we did it. I've got a cardigan. We bought you gifts. These are your dogs. These are your dogs. Yes. This is, this is for you Gillian.
Great.
And Ilaina this is, this is Georgie for you.
I would love Georgie.
Would you take them home really?
Absolutely.
You're not. It was a joke.
No, they're my dogs. They're my dogs. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry. We know what they feel.
You're the dog whisperer. This is what you do. This is what you do when you're not acting in movies.
No, we own a business.
Yeah. What's the business called?
It's booming. It's just beginning, but it takes a while to get like to that profit place. So we're sort of just still. We mostly just got an office. That's it. It's all we've done. We're just about feeling what they feel.
Okay. And I'm hearing that Booda wants um above the tail scratch from you. Oh yeah. Right by the the bum. Right above. Above the bum. Can you get a closer with that face? Is it working? It's working. It's working. I think it's working. Oh, wow. Is it? Is that it? Is that it? This is, this is great. This is great. I've learned something new. So I love this. Um, more importantly, the night before. This hilarious movie. It was great. We all enjoyed it. We all enjoyed it. We laughed a lot. This is good. This is good. You're Betsy.
Yes.
And you're, you're, you're all for the movie and the Christmas and you're Rebecca, which a bit of a Grinch.
Very much so. A bit of a Grinch. Yeah, yeah.
Um, but very interesting parts that you both play.
Thank you. Pregnant. Pregnant. This is the first time I've ever been pregnant. So.
Okay. In real life and on in a movie.
And in a movie.
How was that?
It was wonderful. Um, I definitely took advantage of it. I walked around New York City and just, oh, I can't reach this or
Did you really? You really did.
No. I mean we had some things where we would have to like walk outside to the trailers and then like someone would help me across the street. Thank you. I mean, who doesn't want to be helped across the street?
You have been such a rock throughout this whole pregnancy. I just focus on yourself.
Betsy's my husband and I give him a bunch of drugs. So I don't mean have fun with the his guy buddies. To me, the perfect wife.
Yeah. Right? Still been looking for that. Hasn't come across yet. Yeah. Um, but yeah, and that's kind of where it all goes off. They're three guys that go out on this big, you know, night out. And then they come across you. Or Anthony Mackie comes across you. Um, I guess yeah. Um, but great scene you, you guys have in the uh in the bathroom.
We um sort of exercise our gymnastics.
Exactly, exactly.
Um, and we both I think are equally limber and I don't know if I'm I can like lift the weight Anthony can, but we were good like, uh,
You had the chemistry. It was
I was like a like my, my character was nuts, really took it out on him. Right, right. But he liked it. Yeah, yeah. You were strong. You guys feel like you're like a power couple.
Power couple. That's exactly what it was. And we just had that tension. You guys
Yeah, we just had that tension. You have to warm up. You have to warm up as well.
Attention. Just keep doing this in interviews. Just say that. Is that all the tension is? That's how you express to people the tension. Tension. I never knew that. That's a great way to just tension. Dogs aren't reacting to it. No. Just for humans. Just for humans.
They set out on this adventure and it's, it's about them they kind of find become men for it all at the end as well. It's nice. It's nice.
Yes, this woman sends them on a journey to become men and they do. That's right.
I've never thought about it. You're the, you're the catalyst of the movie. You're everything. You're the catalyst of this.
Thank you so much. For real.
You're what we call the rock.
Thank you so much. But it is, it's kind of, you know, a nice message at the end. It's nice. It gets there. It's lovely.
I, I want to call my agent every time and I go, can I play the catalyst? Anywhere you see where I can catalyze. I would really like. I think on IBD it says Betsy and in brackets it says catalyst.
Are we supposed to participate? Not that kind of church. Who's that guy? Oh, Jesus. Jesus Christ. He's said what they think we did to him. Don't tell him Josh. Yeah. I'm sorry. Isaac, what are you doing? Don't you dare throw up in here. Swallow it like a girl would. Swallow it. That was my favorite scene. The church scene. Really?
That was like real suspense. Comedy suspense. It was like no, no, no. You like no, don't do it. No, don't do it. I love that so much. It was like frightening. I. That feeling of having to throw up and you can't is Right. And also you say swallow it like a girl would. And it was like, I, I felt that. It was empowering. In the church as well. On Christmas Eve. It's aggressive.
So bad.
It's aggressive, yeah. The movie went there. Several times. It did. Several times. The movie goes there. But it was, it is Christmas and you know, the guys have these traditions. Do you have any holiday traditions that you stick to each year?
I do one on Christmas Eve with um, my mom always gives my sister and I a present to open and we're always like, oh, what could it be? And every year it is matching pajamas. Every year. Yeah. Every year. Every year it is matching pajamas.
Do you act surprised?
I mean, we're like, oh, what is this? At this point she knows. She knows that we know. But yeah.
But never mixes it up. I like that.
Yeah. No. I like that. I like that. And we are in our 30s. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Yeah. It works.
Also it's like how many, how many sets of pajamas can a person have? And also do you even sleep in pajamas? You sleep in like a disgusting t-shirt. Oh, yeah. Disgusting t-shirt from like some like walk you did years ago for charity. Yeah, exactly. And then like really old pajama pants that belonged to someone else that you somehow got. Is that right? Well, um, if you want to kiss the dogs, they're all yours. Um, but in the meantime, while we're doing some dog kissing, everyone should go watch the night before. It's hilarious. It's brilliant.
