Young Hollywood

What do you think it is about Style Haul that sort of like caught on and so unique?

Denise Richards

Well, I think women spend billions on makeup and fashion and all of that and I think it was a very smart move doing what they're doing and then coming up with a scripted series and having makeup in it. It's just really, I think, brilliant marketing and brilliant marketing.

Young Hollywood

You're tall. A shorty is like sometimes you just want to, you know, just a little height. Do you wear them? I don't have any, but I'm here with the gorgeous Denise Richards and Alex Franco. Great to see you both. A project near and dear to my heart, vanity. Something I can definitely relate to. I think we can all relate to it and you know, we're all in Hollywood. Absolutely. How are you guys doing? You look beautiful, by the way.

Denise Richards

Oh, thank you.

Alex Frnka

So do you?

Young Hollywood

Well, thank you. I didn't say that to get a compliment back.

Alex Frnka

No, I didn't say it just because you said that either.

Young Hollywood

This show, it's like one of those things and I'm sure you guys even watching it back. They're like nice little 10 minute like episodes that you find on YouTube and you can't just watch one. It's like eating a chip. You like you're at the bottom of the bag before you know it. What do you guys think makes the series so much fun?

Denise Richards

Well, there's a lot of drama, a lot of juice. That's a good description for it. People tend to like that kind of stuff. I don't know, you know, fashion, you've got Karruche and niece in it who everybody loves, and you know.

Alex Frnka

And yourself.

Denise Richards

Yeah, I guess, you know, I'm in it too. It's very fun. I think that the writers did a really good job of having a lot of cliffhangers too. So you're always like, you end one episode and you're like, ah, no. More next week. So that's kind of a lot of feedback that we get that they're too short and they want more.

Young Hollywood

Right. Shooting the show, is it as much was it as much fun as it looked? Because it just looks like you guys are just such it's it's like you said juicy.

Denise Richards

We had fun on the on the set and and Bernie, our director was so fun to work with and it was a great um collaboration and and I was really young crew, too. So everybody, there was just a lot of energy. Nobody ever felt like, oh, here was. Plus we were shooting 12 to 16 pages a day, which is a little. Which made the lift quick. Right. But I was impressed especially being on YouTube, the the production quality and how great the sets looked and I I think they did a great job and it looks beautiful on on screen.

Young Hollywood

How much fun was it, by the way, destroying the Burken bag?

Alex Frnka

Oh, okay. So I was like, guys, because it's real.

Young Hollywood

Was it a real Burken?

Alex Frnka

It was a real Burken. Oh my gosh. Our producer Katie was like, okay, so like make it look like you're trying. But there are certain things that you can do to where you won't really hurt the bag. Right. And I was like, you know, I I just kind of get real into it and I was like, can you guys give me a fake one? Like just in case. And she's like, no. We can't be careful. I know, I hope it played well. But yeah, I there was a part of me that as I was doing this, I was like, don't. Oh, don't do it. Too precious. If you only don't know. How much are they worth?

Denise Richards

Burken, I guess they go for like 10 to 30 grand or something like that. There's how much the real one was. Right. Exactly. That's they're hard to get.

Young Hollywood

What do you guys like watching on YouTube? Like if you guys are like getting, you know, hooked on something, what would it be?

Denise Richards

Puppy videos.

Alex Frnka

I was going to say cat videos or puppy videos, really? Any videos with animals. There's a lot of animal videos in our house.

Young Hollywood

What do you think it is about Style Haul that's sort of like caught on and so unique?

Denise Richards

Well, I think women spend billions on makeup and fashion and all of that and I think it was a very smart move doing what they're doing and then coming up with a scripted series and having makeup in it. It's just really, I think, brilliant marketing and brilliant marketing.

Alex Frnka

They wanted to create this highly stylized world of fashion and makeup. But at the end, like there's so much heart to the show. At the end, it's kind of about this girl wanting to just connect with her birth mother, you know? And so I think it's such a great marriage of heart and like style and beauty to create such juice. We keep going with that word. Like gossip girl meets Pretty Little Liars. I know it's so good. It's such good stuff.

Young Hollywood

So just before I let you go, um, I just want to ask you a couple quick fashion, you know, your own personal opinion. Um, biggest fashion pet peeve.

Alex Frnka

You know, I'm not crazy about the shorts that show the butt. Mostly because my 17-year-old sister does it at home and I'm like, I don't want to see your butt. Like, I don't know what that is, you know? It's like they're so high. It's so bizarre. Maybe at home. You can find that not in public. Okay. Um. Such a grandma.

Denise Richards

And platform flip-flops with rhinestones. I'm sorry to anybody but.

Alex Frnka

Okay, I have the flat ones with rhinestones and I will always wear them. I don't care. Not the big ones. I don't have the platform.

Young Hollywood

But you're how you're tall. A shorty is like sometimes you just want to, you know, just a little height. Do you wear them? I don't have any, but I like the boots with the no toes. I or an exposed toe.

Denise Richards

Oh yeah, because especially if you don't have good feet. It's just to me it's weird. It's either a boot or a sandal. Right. Not my kind. That's I'm sorry if anyone has it. It doesn't, you know what? It doesn't doesn't look good on me, but on other people. It's the kind of thing it looks great on the hanger, but not on my body. But it looks great on your, you know. For me it doesn't look good.

Young Hollywood

No, I I'm with you on that one. Your favorite fashion item in your closet.

Alex Frnka

My jeans. I love jeans. And my rhinestone. I'm so sorry. I said that now. I love my peep toe knee high boots.

Denise Richards

Boots. Right. No. With the rhinestones and the wedge. I just have it all.

Young Hollywood

You talk about you're called like the sort of like the fashion princess. On this show, you're like becoming like a fashion princess. Who is your like in your opinion the biggest fashion queen? Like to me it's Rihanna. She's just like amazing.

Denise Richards

She's amazing. I'm very envious of Victoria Beckham because she looks good no matter what, even with her kids. I always look so schlubby and disheveled with mine and she's always polished and put together and classy and everything. And she has her own fashion line too.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, she has her own fashion line.

Denise Richards

Even with her heels, walking around with the kid. I I don't know how she I couldn't be running around in heels with my kids like that. And I so I'm very envious that she can do that. And she always looks. And she has a $150,000 treehouse, too.

Young Hollywood

Oh my God. That's a great treehouse.

Denise Richards

For her kids. I'm just here for the kids. How big is that?

Young Hollywood

She probably wore her heels to climb up there too.

Denise Richards

Probably. Yeah. Yeah, apparently she always wears them. She doesn't take them off.

Young Hollywood

And who is yours?

Alex Frnka

You know, I really love Taylor Swift. I think that she does a really good job of she's a little sexy and edgy sometimes, but she always she never like crosses that line. And I love sometimes when she's just a little she just looks like a cute little model outfit. You know she is. She seems so sweet and genuine. Yeah, and she reaches out to all of her fans and I don't know. I think she seems like a cool chick. So

Young Hollywood

And last, last, last but not least because this is vanity. Are selfies okay? Are they acceptable at this point or are they

Alex Frnka

They're still happening. So I guess so. If Karuchi were here, she would I mean, she would give you the selfie tutorial. We were always joking. That girl knows how to take the best selfie. She finds her light and she just like does it and you're like, magic just happened. I don't know. I I can't I think my arms are too short. So my face is like still really large.

Young Hollywood

You got to get the selfie stick. Do you have a selfie stick?

Denise Richards

No. I have the stick. I have 20,000 filters. I don't even need to take a good photo. I can make it look good in post production. That is vain. Definitely.

Young Hollywood

What app do you use for your 20,000?

Denise Richards

Oh, well sometimes I'll do two. There's Perfect 365. Okay. It's a good one. And then there's Visage Lab or something. When you double it up. This situation let's just freeze it in our editing bay and then I'll fill it in and you'll see how much better I look after but it's seriously. Nobody knows. Well they do now, but yeah. Visage Visage Lab. Okay.

Alex Frnka

I haven't heard of that one. Yeah. Yeah. It's a good time. Alley Evans who is is one of the Style Haul influencers and she's also in the show with us. She was trying to give me like Instagram and social media tutorials because I'm horrible at it. I just don't think I lead a very interesting life to be honest. I'm not like I'm like to the night. It was just really cute. Oh I tried. Because Alley is literally like, you need to post a pic to Instagram.

Alex Frnka

And then I send my pictures to her and she edits them and sends them back to me.

Denise Richards

Can I have her number?

Alex Frnka

Yeah. Sure.

Denise Richards

Cuz I spend a lot of hours in that editing bay. Let me tell you.

Young Hollywood

Anyway, thank you so much for coming in. Thank you. And talking about all this, you know. And thanks for watching. Oh my gosh. I want to hear your theories. Yeah, and you're going to cut now and you're going to tell me. Please.
