So happy to have one of my favorite people, Dane Franco, in the studio.

Dave Franco

I'm serious.

Young Hollywood

I'm really serious.

Dave Franco

No, no, no.

Young Hollywood

I think it's your natural energy.

Dave Franco

I'll take it.

Young Hollywood

You're like my top eight.

Dave Franco

Wait, how did you come up with eight? It might be one somewhere between one and eight. I made the top 10. I made your top 10 list. Okay, I'll take it.

Young Hollywood

Depending on how this goes. There we go. I read you have two cats. You're in bed by 10:30 and you've seen Philomena two times. That's all good.

Dave Franco

I think back a little bit currently. Yeah, so on paper, I'm like the coolest guy alive. Um, I'm turning 30 this year. I feel like I'm like 68-ish, 60.

Young Hollywood

Do you really?

Dave Franco

Yeah. Which I'm actually happy about. I like getting older.

Young Hollywood

Like an old man or more like a little old lady type thing.

Dave Franco

Somewhere in between. Two years ago, I got carded for an R-rated movie. And it's just like And most people are like, it's great to look your age. But sometimes, or not to look older, to look younger than your age, but I don't know. Anyways.

Young Hollywood

True. From my perspective, where I'm sitting, it's a good thing.

Dave Franco

Yeah. Okay. Don't complain. It's good. All right, I should stop there.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. What are you gonna do for your 30th birthday? And then we will talk about unfinished business.

Dave Franco

Uh, pretty boring. Uh, I'm not a big birthday guy. I had a, uh, my first surprise party maybe two years ago. I'm not just saying this is the first time I had a panic attack in my life. Um, my girlfriend threw it for me and we at the time we'd only been dating for like, you know, two months. And so it was very sweet of her to like put this whole thing together, but she didn't really know necessarily who to invite. She had met everyone. And so she invited a couple of my friends that she knew. And then they invited their friends, and they invited their friends. My mom was randomly in town too. But the next day after the party, she went to the 101 Cafe. And the waitress came up to her and they were and she was like, "Hey, I'm sorry this is weird, but are you Betsy Franco?" And she's like, "Yeah." And she's like, "Oh my God, I almost went to your son's surprise party last night." The random waitress at the 101 Cafe. So it was like to the point where I went downstairs and I had a little freak out. Um, and had too much to drink and it was just it was a lot.

Young Hollywood

Well, I feel like vicariously like if you say you're a, you know, a boring old person. I mean, Unfinished Business. I mean, it looks like, you know, I'm thinking Neighbors. I'm thinking like 21 Jump Street. These are like party fun movies. True. Now, as fun to shoot it as, I mean, you're drinking beer with Vince Vaughn in Germany. I don't know if you're really in Germany, but

Dave Franco

Right. Yeah, yeah, we were filming in Berlin. I don't know. We had a great time, honestly. Like we, you have not seen the movie yet. The trailer, though, yeah?

Young Hollywood

No. Yes, I've seen the red band and the green band. I want to discuss both. Okay. Cuz one of them, your bottom is in one of them, and your underwear in the other one. I want to know if that was your bottom and

Dave Franco

We say my bottom, my ass.

Young Hollywood

Right, right, right. Um, your arching. They I want to say in that particular shot it was you.

Dave Franco

It's not me. No.

Young Hollywood

Are you serious?

Dave Franco

And here's why. Here's why. In the trailer, you can see that I'm in this position where the girl is kind of standing up and wheelbarrowing me. And I tried it, but in that position, everything's kind of dangling. And it's just like, I just did it. It's just wasn't the most ideal situation.

Young Hollywood

I just landed a huge deal for you. And then you tell me I'm gonna take 5% less this year? You are irreplaceable. You say that kind of stuff a lot. And that's why Brian Peters wrote your Jackass on your parking curb. What the hell, Dan? That was one year ago. The next day I started my own company. I only have two employees. One's too old and then one's too young. I've never been on a business trip before. I'm pretty jacked. Can you not say your whole name today? Because the client could lose focus. Uh, I'm going to pan cakes. What was your last name? Pancake. Like breakfast. Is Greek. Is delicious. Now there's a slapping like, uh, I think in a bar. You're you're getting slapped and you're doing some slapping.

Dave Franco

Right, right, right. That's based on a game me and my friends actually play sometimes called Tequila Slaps. It's, uh, we would pair up. We each have a shot and so I would I would take my shot first, right? And instead of taking a chaser or something, you slap me across the face. Okay. That's it. Basically basically, depending on how hard you slap me, it's probably going to be how hard I slap you back. As you get more drunk, things get crazy. You start pairing up people who maybe have like these like long underlying beefs with each other. It gets a little weird. Um, but, uh, for example, like we did it one New Year's and, uh, by the end of the night, we paired up these two brothers who are just big dudes and kind of have something to prove. The first the the younger brother goes, hits him way too hard. The older brother kind of gets gets ready, hits him, the younger brother his knees literally buckle. The guy chipped his tooth.

Young Hollywood

No.

Dave Franco

Tequila Slaps. We brought it into the film. Uh,

Young Hollywood

Was it we or was it you?

Dave Franco

I brought this into the film. Um, it's weird. It's weird.

Young Hollywood

And then last but not least, really random question. Are you more an air guitarist, a hairbrush singer, or a steering wheel drummer?

Dave Franco

Good question. You know, I did this thing recently. Probably only funny to me, but, um, picked up one of my cats. I started doing the cat guitar. Uh, to the point where I actually took a guitar strap and tried to kind of attach it to him.

Young Hollywood

We'll leave it at that. And we'll leave it at that. You remain my favorite person. Yes. In the world. Yes. You are within the top four now.

Dave Franco

Oh my gosh. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Yes. Maybe one. Maybe one. We'll leave it a mystery. We'll leave it a mystery. You're We're we're leaving it for next time. Yes. There we go. That'll be our unfinished business.

Dave Franco

There we go.
