Hey, this is Bean and this is my song Wildfire. Hey, shut your mouth. Talking like you know my story. Nope, you're so boring. Take your stuff and bounce. Chuck all your say opinions cause I'm not listening.
I'm all here on the Young Hollywood sofa with the lovely Bean. Hello. How are you? This is this is this is your real name, this is Bean.
This is it. This is it. This is what I was born with.
She was born with Bean. That was it. That was it. Mine, mine doesn't flower as much as yours for Bean it's not.
Yeah.
No, yours is like, yours is like John Travolta. Like Really? It sounds like Mine is like Bean, you know? Bean? Yeah. We just made a song up. Bean. Bean. It's not as good as your joke though. No, no, it's not. It's not as good as Wildfire either.
You can knock me down down to my knees. Turn my bones to ashes, bury me. Rising like a phoenix, you'll make you see. I'll burn even higher. Burn even higher. I'm a wildfire.
Your voice is so nice.
Thank you.
Which helps in music. It does, it does. It's always awkward if we have someone at the Young Hollywood studio and they sing and they've got horrible voice. And everybody's like, okay, I'm done with this. Yeah, and that's like but that was really nice.
Thank you. Thank you.
Um and it's been it wasn't like you didn't start that young. I mean you're you're you're not old now, but it was only like five, six years, the last five, six years that's all all happened, right?
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I started singing my parents were pastors growing up so I started singing in church and stuff like that. But it wasn't until I picked up a guitar that I realized that I love music and I love writing so, so much that I had to put my own YouTube videos up, so. After that, my record label found me and here I am.
And the rest is history.
And the rest is history.
And the rest is history.
Rising like a phoenix, I'll make you see. I'll burn even higher. Burn even higher. I'm a wildfire. Yeah. I'm a wildfire. I'm a wildfire.
Talk us through the writing process of the of the of the new song like this.
With Wildfire, the writing process was completely different from any other song just because this song is about my journey up until this point and all of the ups and downs and the struggle of trying to break like everybody else's into the industry and be somebody and be unique enough that you are going to like shine brighter than 90% of the people in Hollywood. I hope whenever everybody else hears it they can get some like inspo to keep fighting on too. It's a good song to start your day with. Yeah. When you wake up in the morning, drinking your coffee, put that song on.
It is, it wakes you up, you know? That or I of the Tiger. Yeah, even one of those. I of the Tiger, you know? I of the Tiger's a good one too. That's like a whole league of its own, but. Do you do you have a song other than your own that you use for that up beat?
Probably, I mean, I would say like Katy Perry.
I was I didn't want to say it but that's what I was thinking as well. You know, like she Roar. Yeah. Lost all credibility there thinking in the in the men's bar there. Katy Perry roar. Quite like it, just say.
It's okay. You say roar cooler than all of us, so.
Okay, that's fine then.
You're never gonna keep me down. You're never gonna knock me out. You're never gonna keep me down. Can't keep me down. No, you're never gonna keep me down. You're never gonna knock me out. You're never gonna keep me down cause you can knock me down down to my knees.
Are you hands on in what you want from the video?
I am. I must say with this music video, it's completely left of field from everything else that I've done prior to. Right. It's a whole new world, so get ready. It's exciting. Yeah.
You've opened up for Colby, Austin Mahone, some amazing people. Yeah. If you could open up for any artist right now, who would it be?
Oh my god. I'm obsessed with The 1975. Oh. Like I love Maddie Healy so much.
Okay. Have you got posters on your wall?
Um, you know, I actually don't, but
The last poster that was on your wall.
The last poster that was on my wall, I would say probably Twain. Okay. I was like seven or eight. Okay.
Turn my bones to ashes, bury me. Rising like a phoenix, so make you see. I'll burn even higher. Burn even higher. I'm a wildfire.
If you could collaborate with anyone, um, in music, in in your in your next music. Don't say The 1975.
I know. I was like crap, I've told all my 1975.
Think outside the box. Just stop thinking about the dating world and think about work.
It's okay, I already got a boo. But um,
Oh, easy, you better not watch this interview then.
I know, right. He'd be tracking down The 1975, for instance. Yeah. But yes, collaboration. Collaboration. Anyone else?
Okay.
Um, Coldplay. Okay. Ed Sheeran. This guy named Matt Corby. And I mean Colby would be so dope. I did say one. But you got
I know, I know. You have so many choices that you roll with it. I just let you roll with it. You're like, okay.
I'm a wildfire. I'm a wildfire. Yeah. I'm a wildfire. I'm a wildfire.
