Young Hollywood

I am here with Nikki Reed and Thomas Dekker. Great to see you guys in Texas. If I saw on your Twitter, you were in the shower, please explain to us the story. You were in the shower.

Nikki Reed

I'm in the shower. Not only was my flight delayed by three hours yesterday morning and then I was in the shower getting ready for the Spring Breakers premiere and I had just put shampoo in my hair and then the alarms went off and they started banging on the door, my hotel caught fire. And it was actually the detector outside my door that caught the smoke. So they thought it was in my room and I was like this will be great. I come to South by Southwest and burn down the Sheraton. Um, but uh, no, and then we were evacuated for like two hours so I missed the movie, but I made the party, which is really, which is really what you want to go for.

Young Hollywood

So let's talk a little bit about the film. The trailer looks very dark. It's not for children.

Nikki Reed

It's not for children, right? Yeah, Thomas wasn't allowed in to see it. So, um, you know, I the film is really dark and I feel that, uh, you know, that was one of the things about the script that really stood out. I didn't feel like they were shying away from anything. Victor, the writer and co-director. I didn't feel like he was afraid to explore, um, all areas and uh, it's definitely a dark movie.

Young Hollywood

So I know you're gonna be singing here with your husband, aren't you? Are you gonna be performing here?

Nikki Reed

Singing at the end of the week.

Thomas Dekker

Thomas was just saying he was gonna, um, change his plane ticket to stay for the show.

Young Hollywood

Yes. Do you get stage fright, like when you're, oh yeah, Really?

Nikki Reed

It's a whole, it's a completely different. I don't know how you feel about this, but I started singing like yesterday. So Paul came up with this brilliant idea that we should start a band together last night. And I know, it is, it is very new for me.

Young Hollywood

Is it uncomfortable for you still?

Nikki Reed

Yeah, I mean we, I'm so uncomfortable about it that I try to make more of a show of like we wear masks and we have a very strange.

Thomas Dekker

I was just saying if I could wear a mask it would be so much easier.

Nikki Reed

So it, so we, we get to feel a little bit more like we're we're playing characters, but because

Young Hollywood

What kind of music are you guys doing? I don't even know, I'm sorry.

Nikki Reed

Folksy. He really does know. He's our biggest fan and it's so.

Thomas Dekker

It's true. I just was trying to.

Young Hollywood

Usually saying.

Thomas Dekker

Egg you on to explain to the

Nikki Reed

Yeah, get a description of our music right? Yeah, yeah, I know. It's, um, it's kind of like folky, singer, songwriter, um, little bit of country in there. Um, love you, Debbie, stuff. Thanks.

Thomas Dekker

really scary from friends to have here. I love it.

Young Hollywood

So I have a game for you guys. It's called snap in the spirit of the movie. I'm going to give you three scenarios and you're going to tell me of the three, which one most makes you want to snap. Okay.

Nikki Reed

Like snap our fingers.

Young Hollywood

No, like snap.

Nikki Reed

Oh, like snap. Okay. Like losing it. I like when he loses it by the way.

Young Hollywood

Does he lose it?

Nikki Reed

Yeah. He does that a few times in the movie. Just a few.

Young Hollywood

Oh, I did. I did notice that. Okay, in the TSA line, the person ahead of you that empties like four pounds of change out of his pockets, can't get his belt. I'm saying his, 'cause it's always a guy. Can't get his belt undone and generally appears like he's never flown before, takes 10 minutes. This is one of my pet peeves. Scenario one. Okay? Scenario two, the person next to you on a long flight that won't stop talking. Okay. Scenario three, the person that one person on the plane who's continually passing gas.

Thomas Dekker

Oh, that's the worst. That's the one for me. Oh, I can't.

Nikki Reed

No, I'm the TSA. I, I can't do the thing.

Thomas Dekker

What? You want to sit with the gas?

Nikki Reed

Well, I'd ask somebody to move and I'd move back.

Thomas Dekker

What if you, there you can't move? What if the plane is packed? Recently this happened to me and the stewardess brought me a bag of ground coffee to like tuck into my shirt as a bib because I, I was.

Young Hollywood

Did the guy notice?

Thomas Dekker

No, he was sleeping and just farting and sleeping and that is just people should be more responsible. They should think about what they eat before they decided to just fall asleep and fart on a plane.

Young Hollywood

Okay. The expression, oo snap. Do you have a favorite saying like that? And are you that person if somebody says something to you, do you have that oo snap response or are you the person that like an hour later goes, I should have said that.

Nikki Reed

Well, I do that all the time.

Thomas Dekker

You do. Like, no, no, no, but I have that feeling of like, oh, I didn't I think of that at the time. That's because that's called actor syndrome. We both have that we go like, oh, why didn't we do that in that scene and that was captured permanently.

Young Hollywood

What's your comment? What's your.

Nikki Reed

Oh, I don't know if I have one. Um, Paul always says like, balls. So I feel like I, I feel like I've just kind of.

Thomas Dekker

Mine's really bad and it's a, it's involves a swear word. I don't know if I can say that on here.

Young Hollywood

You can say it. You can.

Thomas Dekker

Yeah. It just seems to come out of me at all kinds of situations. I just go fuck yourself.

Young Hollywood

Oh. Nice. But that's so satisfying. I could bleep you. It's better than oo snap.

Thomas Dekker

Yeah, oo snap, that for me.

Young Hollywood

All right. Next one. Snapchat happy. Is it still acceptable to tweet or Facebook cell phone pictures you took of yourself?

Nikki Reed

I've never done that.

Thomas Dekker

Neither have I.

Young Hollywood

Congratulations. That's fantastic.

Nikki Reed

It freaks me out. And I have a lot of friends who do, so I don't want to be too overly critical, but I just these ones are like unless you're maybe designing clothes, like for my jewelry, um, my jewelry line sometimes I take photographs of my jewelry and I.

Young Hollywood

What don't you do? That's on my phone.

Nikki Reed

So many many things.

Thomas Dekker

He really are my best friend. We really are best friends.
