Is that weird?

It's kinda weird. Yeah, but I mean, I I like it. I just kinda started putting up videos maybe a few years back and it's kinda just grown.

'Cause when the time is right, you'll be here, but for now dear no one. This is your love song. Ooh, ah. If you were to release a video on YouTube and think, oh, ten people might watch it. But now knowing that you have this fan base, is it more pressure when you do these videos and stuff?

It's Yeah, there's a little more pressure I think, but also I think just 'cause I'm I try to make sure I'm just still doing what I love. Like, I still am the same as when I posted my very first video. So

And now you you've done some cover songs. You've covered a lot on YouTube, but now you got your own record. Your EP, Forword. Um tell us about the process of making that.

Yeah. I recorded a lot of the songs this summer. Um kinda uh a lot of the songs I wrote in my bedroom, which is I think where I feel the most vulnerable. So, um I had all these songs. I usually I just write on guitar, really stripped down, and then I went into a bigger studio and kind of like worked on the production and everything. So, I was very, I mean, I was kinda more than hands on. I was really just doing it all myself. I brought in, you know, a couple different musicians and um it was a lot of fun. Yeah.

Yes, sometimes I want someone to grab my hand. Pick me up, hold me close, be my man. I will love you 'til the end. Who would you say that inspired you to do all this?

I think I grew up listening to a lot of really soulful music, so um and even gospel music. There's a singer, Crystal Lewis, who I grew up listening to a lot as a kid. And then um I listened to Um my parents were always playing stuff like Jill Scott, Maxwell, Lauren Hill, like just a lot of really, really soulful stuff. Even um it kinda went into like Lenny Kravitz and uh I don't know, there's no genre that was really off limits. Yeah, it's kinda it's kinda fun. Household growing up with music was always playing. Yeah. So like in the 90s.

And then um you've toured with you you opened up for Ed Sheeran. It must have been incredible.

I did. It was awesome.

Very popular. Were you a big fan before that happened?

Yeah, I was. I've I've been a fan of his music and um and we actually did a song together, which he was super, super awesome to work with and like really talented. Everyone knows.

And he's British.

Yeah, he's British. Just throw that out there.

And now when we mentioned Ed Sheeran you are you opened up for Jewel as well.

Yeah.

If you could open up for anyone, who would you choose? Anyone in the world?

Oh my gosh, that's so hard.

Such a hard question, but you've gotta answer it.

I can't say Justin Timberlake 'cause I would just fangirl.

Fangirl is where you go, ah. Oh. Well, you didn't even know what fangirling was. What is it fanboying? If you're a fanboy?

I think you could still call it fangirling.
