Welcome to younghollywood. com. What's up, Young Hollywood? I'm Michelle Homo looking very fly in my 3D glasses because tonight at the Hollywood's Least Wanted event with honorary guest, Zachary Quinto, we're going to look at some photos that promote pet rescue. I'm here with Zachary Quinto and Rachel, the artist. Tell us a little bit about your artwork for this event.
I took 3D photographs of dogs in shelters which represents sort of a cage and a jail and I turned them into 3D art. So you wear your glasses and you and you see the dogs in 3D.
Yeah. I was saying to her like that these works to me look as interesting without the 3D glasses on but they tell a whole different story with them on, you know. And I think that's what art is and uh and the fact that it's centered in a cause that I I certainly support and believe in and I know she does and and a lot of people that I'm really close with do.
We've got Noah, Zach's dog. Tell us a little bit of uh about rescuing Noah.
He's about to turn seven and I've had him since he was three months old, so.
And Noah knows a ton of fun tricks or maybe just one he's really excited about doing.
Well, I don't know. He's been trying to do it because I've I've been trying to keep him calm, but he's doing a pretty good job with all these other dogs around. Noah. Bang. Oh. But he then he gets right back up because he knows that he gets a treat.
Your friend from going to college together, Carnegie Melon and then now you kind of brought on two other friends and informed your production group before the door.
We were there at a very specific time and with a very specific group of people and we happened to find a lot of really solid connections that have lasted all this time and that is an incredible gift, I'd say.
Are you a member of Starfleet?
I Um, yes.
Can I get a towel? Under penalty of court-martial, I order you to explain to me how you were able to beam aboard this ship while moving at Warp. Well, don't answer him. You will answer me. You've had a great role on Heroes and they got to play Spock and I love um what you've been doing recently, a short film that you did Porto and I thought it was amazing the the creativity, the the 15,000 stills that you guys put together in.
Well, yeah, that's the the artist Dave Schwaepe who is that photographer is really really interesting and doing really cool stuff and um and and we collaborated with him on that project, but that's all his technique and all of his man hours which are are many, I assure you.
Those You get to go outside the lines, I guess, when you start your own production company. You get to do something different.
We get to do something uh uh that we we believe in and we have fun with, so it's it's cool.
I do a blog, a textile blog. And I love the fact how savvy you are with social media and I love your website and I think that you really reach out to your fans in that sense and they have a chance to feel connected.
Thanks, you know, that's um that's also a big part of my company and I I really have to give credit to my business partner. So, you know, uh I'm learning a lot about that space and those guys are far ahead of me in their understanding of it and their uh and their knowledge of it, their their mastery of it, but uh it's it's powerful. And and my fanbase lives there anyway, so it's it's wise for me to to acknowledge that, I think, you know.
What would be the next thing that you haven't done yet that you would love to do?
I want to do a play. That's been something that I haven't gotten a chance to do for a long time and I'm I'm really ready to do again. So, we're working on it.
This is Zachary Quinto and Noah Quinto. Um for Young Hollywood, thank you for being a fan and for supporting Hollywood's Least Wanted.
