What an inspiration to girls all over the country who are too ugly to be cheerleaders. Talk about this year being a good year because you're getting a great response to Pitch Perfect 2. I just saw that it was number one in Australia.

Yeah, the Aussie Well, hello. Look who's pioneering that mission. We got Rebel Wilson. They're going to look at us, Team USA and be like why is the most talented one Australian?

You've got a good ambassador.

Yeah, that's exactly it. She's our she's our Australian ambassador, Fat Amy.

How's Rebel on set?

Rebel on set is probably what you'd expect, but a little bit more toned down. Yeah, I think a lot of people think she's like a constant fastball, but she's very smart. She's very calculated. And she's a writer. She knows what she's doing. There's a reason why she's all over this movie.

When did you realize that this was going to be such a phenomenon?

I'd say that we were doing the press junket for the first one and a lot of like major like sources that I had never really like been on before but have seen, like Young Hollywood. com and Extra and Access Hollywood, all those things that and they're like we think this is like so wonderful and they they started asking at that point already about sequels. And I'm used to in Hollywood a lot of smoke being blown up up certain areas, but I it felt special. It felt like we had something really special on our hands.

How similar are you to Jesse?

I don't know. I'd like to think I brought a lot of myself to that character and I think that that's what maybe makes him seem believable. I'm a very supportive boyfriend just like Jesse is.

Are you as romantic as he is?

I'd say so. I don't think I would do a picnic with juice boxes, but I think that I would do something a little bit more adult. I'm a little older than Jesse by the way, so I think it would be a little bit more sophisticated.

All right, so what's the most romantic thing you've done in real life?

Well, uh this Valentine's Day, my girlfriend was doing a play here in New York. So I came to the theater and I brought a picnic and we had some wine and we had some some food and some romance and it was lovely.

Good boyfriend.

What are you doing when the cameras are off? What do you do for fun?

This is what I do man. All day all day cameras in my face. No, I mean, I I you won't find me at The Club. No. Shocking. You'll probably find me and my dog and my girlfriend watching Catfish, Bachelor. You know, not just reality shows though. We like Game of Thrones and House of Cards and things like that. But yeah, there's nothing like eating some crappy food and just watching people get Catfish.

What scene was the most memorable for him and what's your favorite thing about Jesse Swanson?

Ooh, I'd say the Treble performance. It was really fun. We got to do it in a church. We were there there's some like sexual innuendos in the song and it was like really inappropriate to do in a church and that was kind of fun. The riff-off was really fun. I mean that was crazy. There was like the Green Bay Packers and us and the Bellas and the new DSM group and Reggie Watts and Joe Lo Truglio and Adam Devine as the Tonehangers and yeah, that was pretty cool.

And your favorite thing about Jesse Swanson?

My favorite thing about Jesse Swanson is his ability to spot bullshit a mile away. I think he could tell when someone is secretly loving a situation and he will be relentless and let you know that he knows. You know, that's how he got Becca in the first place. She was constantly throwing him shade and he's like, I think there's something going on here.

Singing like Pitch Perfect like five? Yeah. I'm skipping three and four. I mean that will happen, you realize. Okay. Yeah. Well, I'll be a little bit more mature by then. Stevie Wonder I'm such a big fan of. I really like Higher Ground that song. And this is really on the spot. Maybe like, you know, I always find that when men do women covers or vice versa.
