Lucy

And Lucy,

Kiernan

and Kiernan.

Emma Roberts

And we're here with Young Hollywood to tell you about our new film The Blackcoat's Daughter.

Horror Film Rapid Fire

Why are you doing this? Do you believe in God, Joan? Ever tried to look for him? I look for him in the unlikely things that happened. Little coincidences. Blackcoat's Daughter what was in the holy waters they forgotten.

Young Hollywood

Kiernan and Lucy, tell me about the scariest moment you had on set.

Kiernan

Oh man. I think all the scenes that took place in a boiler room were a little bit creepy because there was not much light and it was cold and it was all the things.

Lucy

We'll say that room before the boiler room and a long corridor that I had to walk down in the dark was horrible. To me, just from the moment I got there before we even started shooting, it was eerie. It was weird and it was the longest two weeks of my entire life just with snow falling every morning out the window. Um, but it was kind of poetic as well.

Kiernan

Yeah, absolutely.

Lucy

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Okay, number two, tell us about any nightmares or scary dreams you had while filming this movie.

Emma Roberts

Oh man. Well, I after I read the script, I I I was up for like two days after like I would wake up in the middle of the night cuz I was in New Orleans filming when I read the script. And I just got freaked out and I was staying by myself and it really like the script wedged its way into my brain and started really eating it and scarring it and I couldn't sleep.

Kiernan

I do remember cuz we were staying in a sort of an apartment while we were there. Every night I just made sure the door is locked. And I never do that. That's not that's not me. But every I it was like It was

Emma Roberts

At least that's more logical than me looking under the bed. As though something's going to be there.

Kiernan

Well, I'm scared of something.

Emma Roberts

Well, that's not That's the one. That's actually smart. Practical.

Kiernan

But I'm still checking it.

Emma Roberts

Yeah.

Kiernan

You're still checky with it.

Emma Roberts

Yeah. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

And it did look like it was freezing while we were filming, which is true. It was freezing. What was the coldest that it got when you guys were shooting? What was the moment?

Emma Roberts

Wasn't it the coldest winter they'd had in like 40 years?

Kiernan

Yeah. 50 years?

Lucy

Yeah. Well, when I had like fake blood all over me and it started to freeze onto my body and like almost rip my skin off, that's when I knew that it was really cold.

Kiernan

Yeah. I think just whenever I jumped for joy that it wasn't in the negatives, that's also that it was really cold. It was like, great, it's two. It's awesome.

Lucy

Exactly.

Kiernan

And any night shoots outside were brutal.

Lucy

Mhm.

Kiernan

Intense.

Lucy

Yes.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Are we doing rapid fire?

Emma Roberts

Yeah, do you want to start?

Young Hollywood

Okay. Yeah. Okay, just whip 'em out. When you're watching a horror film, are you eating popcorn or candy?

Emma Roberts

Both.

Kiernan

Both.

Lucy

Both.

Young Hollywood

Are you So I just whip them out. Yeah, whip them out. Yeah. What about you?

Emma Roberts

Popcorn.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Yeah. Popcorn more than candy. Are you covering your ears or covering your eyes?

Emma Roberts

Covering your eyes.

Kiernan

I don't understand the ears thing.

Emma Roberts

No, it's fine. You're not going to cover your ears and watch it. No.

Kiernan

That's I do that. Because

Emma Roberts

Because it's the noises that scare me. It's the Like the like Like it's not really the person like jumping out. It's like the noise that accompanies it. So I'll like plug my ears like this and be watching like this.

Lucy

I will I'll watch through my fingers. So I can like blur it a bit.

Emma Roberts

Deal with it.

Young Hollywood

Um, we're doing so well in the rapidness of this. Okay. Um, do you sleep with the lights on or off?

Kiernan

Off. And an eye mask. And the curtains drawn. All of it.

Emma Roberts

Yeah. All that's watching a horror film.

Kiernan

Yeah. Yeah. And then I usually get paralyzed with fear, so I can't move from under the duvet and I pray for morning.

Emma Roberts

I have a dog in my bed, so I'm not that scared.

Kiernan

Exactly.

Emma Roberts

God it.

Young Hollywood

Do you leave your bedroom door open or closed?

Kiernan

Closed.

Lucy

Closed.

Emma Roberts

Yeah. Shut me in. Make it dark.

Kiernan

Yeah. I get too scared with the door open.

Emma Roberts

Yeah. Cuz that that freaks me out.

Kiernan

Yes, I've done it.

Emma Roberts

Too much opportunity. That's scary.

Kiernan

Too much opportunity. If you hear the door open, you might have a second to do something before the the the demon comes in to get you.

Emma Roberts

But I feel like if that happened, I would just pretend to be asleep.

Kiernan

Yeah, but they know the truth. They know. They know. They they've been there too. I've I've thought that. I'm like, I'm like, do you think that I seem like I'm asleep? And then I'm like my breathing is laborious. Like they'll know. They know I'm scared.

Emma Roberts

I'm sleeping too perfectly to be

Kiernan

Exactly.
