Boom! Nikki Novack here for Young Hollywood, hanging out at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch with the star of Big Time Rush, James Maslow. I am here with James Maslow. I want to make the obvious joke, okay?

James Maslow's

No, go for it.

Young Hollywood

Hay! Get it? Sit on, sit on hay. It's da na na na. How's it going?

James Maslow's

It's good. Yeah. Nice day out. Good day to be at a pumpkin patch. It's like it's a big day. It's like Halloween.

Young Hollywood

Are you a big Halloween person? I saw on your Twitter something about your costume.

James Maslow's

Yeah, so I went out the other night, and not gonna lie, recycled an outfit but that's fine because that's good. It is good, and it makes me feel better about spending all the money I spend on it last year. I spent $400 on my costume.

Young Hollywood

Okay, more than I spend, but still.

James Maslow's

I wear it every year. It makes sense. It did. You see, I was even more rag tag because I wore it out one night, and it was a little too small. I gave my buddy a hug, and I ripped the shirt. Like you hear about that happening? It actually happened with the shirt. But then I figured, you know what, don't want another costume. So I just tore some other things and kept wearing it last night.

Young Hollywood

So are you a big Halloween person? Do you like Halloween? Do you like the whole dressing up thing?

James Maslow's

You know, I never actually look for a costume until last minute, but at the end of the day, like going to a party last night, it is so much fun being around everybody dressed up. Like everybody gets in the spirit for Halloween.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. What was the best costume you saw?

James Maslow's

Best costume last night? Ah, I saw a man dressed as a woman, but that I just thought was an ugly woman.

Young Hollywood

So I know you just got back from tour. With Big Time Rush. It was like 4 months?

James Maslow's

Just about, yeah.

Young Hollywood

Wow. So Central and South America?

James Maslow's

Yeah. And all the way, I mean even north when Canada. So we hit up, we hit up all the Americas.

Young Hollywood

Where in Canada do you mean?

James Maslow's

Toronto. Okay. Yeah. Some of my favorite cities.

Young Hollywood

So I know you've also, you're shooting Nick at Nite. You shot an episode of See Dad Run with Scott Baio.

James Maslow's

Porky! Woo! Mrs. Hobbs, you're looking fine enough to be on the cover of Cosmo. Nikki, you seem different. You're all grown up. You mean blown up? Oh my! Yeah! It was nice to do something different. Different set. Different energy. Different set, different show. I mean it's still, it's a, you know, Nickelodeon family, but Nick at Nite you can, I can actually be closer to my age. You know what I mean? Yeah. Don't have as many restrictions, and the cast is great. Scott was the quintessential gentleman and professional. I mean he really he controls the set. You can tell he's been doing it for a long time. Uh, he asked me when I was born, I said 1990. He's been acting for longer than I've been alive. He doesn't like that I repeat this in interviews now, but it's fun for me.

Young Hollywood

All right, so we are at this pumpkin patch for no reason other than we need to go and experience and be children again. Are you ready to go carve some pumpkins, maybe face paint, maybe travel down a blow-up slide? Are you up for that?

James Maslow's

They do. They even have a maze. Should we hit it up? It could be amazing. Oh. Hey.

Young Hollywood

Okay, so we're heading over to the petting zoo. Of course we are. Of course we are. Well, only because the maze isn't made for adults. We wanted to go, we don't fit. We wanted to go into the maze, but the maze. I think you might be too tall.

James Maslow's

I might be too tall. You're definitely too tall. You know what, I there's tall kids, okay? I don't get it. I'm kind of offended but I'm not gonna hold it against him. You know, it's like one of those you know when you're you're a kid, and you go to an amusement park, and you have to be this tall to ride the rollercoaster. I'm sorry, I was at Six Flags two days ago, so I know.

Young Hollywood

All right, well speaking of rollercoaster What do we have to pet here?

James Maslow's

I don't know. We have goats and sheep. This one's kind of like "down, man." Are you chillin'? They're hangin' out. I mean in a way I kinda feel bad cuz they're chillin' in a cage, but at the same time these animals get more love all day long than most animals will ever get. And we have food. Wait, how do we know how to do this? This looks like Do you feed out of the cup? Feed in your hand. Do you feed in your hand or out of the cup? Do we feed Doesn't matter. I mean What ever you want to do. Dig in. Are you afraid to do it? I kind of want to see you do it.

Young Hollywood

I'm gonna do it. I just want to see this. He's stoked. Look at him. Can you zoom in on her face please? Look at her face. She is so uncomfortable with this. A goat tongue? All right.

James Maslow's

I know, I know you want some, fatty. Look at. Look at, look at this one right here. I mean, gone in a second. This one's ready to gnaw on my hand. This one's straight up goin'. That one's starving. That one's the I know. It's the biggest one here. This one's gotta be on a diet actually. All right. I know you love me and not just for my food, okay? But I have to go. Don't miss me. It's gonna be cool, all right? Cool.

Young Hollywood

I feel like you bonded. You did. We are about to go down that big time slide. Ha! It gets old. Big Time. Big time everything. Big time. Exactly. Right. So have a Big Time Race. There's no easy way to get up this, is there? This is actually way harder than it looks. Hold on! I gotta readjust my towel. I know, it's hard to get the towel underneath underneath your butt. Feet too. I feel like we're too heavy for it. I feel like it's gonna collapse. It's just gonna break. I think we just gotta go. Ready? All right. Ready? All right. Three, two, one, go! Ah! I feel like I won that. I definitely have this sensation of rope burn. You know what? When the towel, when the towel slides out from under your butt, it gets sticky. Are you okay? Cuz you know what? I just wanted to do, I wanted to do it in style. But look at the landing. Look at that landing. That is impressive. That's right. I'm pretty comfortable here. Didn't hurt at all. Didn't hurt at all. Yeah. Now, I didn't exactly find a good pumpkin, but um found this one. Ooh, Happy Halloween! Ready? Go home. All right, great. Thanks, guys. See ya later.
