Riverdale Parents Reveal If They Are Varchie Fans

So so much has happened for you and your character since we saw you last. Can you tell me your favorite moment or scene for Fred so far?

My favorite moment still goes back to the pilot. Just where I'm talking to him on the porch, you know? And it was just it was very easy on the day. It all happened sort of natural and real and Mädchen Amick: Okay, so there's been there's been two, I think. Oh, actually no, three. I did like going up

Give a spoiler. And then we'll make sure in editing that doesn't ruin the show.

Well, some stuff we shot a couple days ago is pretty intense. And uh uh I think everybody will be kind of stunned by it. So I can't say what it is, but it'll be in the finale. Mädchen Amick: My first one was 100% episode three where she's drunk at the table with the wine and kind of putting her daughter in her place.

Pretty easy with KJ. Our work isn't really that complicated. You know, the storylines are but the the part of it that we uh you know, us together, it's real easy. Mädchen Amick: Then the cliff scene with Archie, which was amazing.

I'm kind of excited that uh FP gets a knock at his door and who's on the other side but Alice needing some love.

Ooh. I can feel the steam. I love it. Mädchen Amick: There's a particularly scene I have in the season finale that I feel she's earned and built up the entire year where you're going to question her loyalties again. I love that scene.

We're always questioning her. Mädchen Amick: I know. She's going I I she's a big question to me as well.

So if you could be friends with Fred in real life, what advice would you give him for what's coming next?

Uh get a new pickup truck, Fred. Yeah, get get a new truck cuz he's driving the old one and truck trucks are important, yeah. Mädchen Amick: If I was friends with Hermione in real life, I would say, "Honey, tread carefully. Make sure you think everything through and play the long game, not the short one."

So, if you were friends with your character in real life, what advice would you give her for what's about to happen next?

Well, first of all, chill out. Like, calm down.

If you were friends with FP in real life, what advice would you give him for what's coming next then?

Drink more.

Of what?

Vodka.

Really?

It's vodka, man.

Okay.

Yeah. I don't know. I mean, it's sort of I I love her journey. So, I kind of like seeing her mess up and do it all wrong to then have to learn her lesson later.

So, are you a Varchie fan?

You know what? They're all just uh kids I'd rather not have in my house. I mean, I come home they've been in the shower and stuff like that.

I think every every mom would want their kid to date an Archie. Right? I mean, he he's not only is he a great actor and a good human being. He brings that to his character and it kind of shines through. So, I'm a huge Varchie fan.

But no, they're uh they both have their uh appeal. Let's put it that way.

Wow. Ashley, yeah. Ashley, I didn't see her. Ashley, speaking of appeal, she's got her own. Yeah. So, what's your favorite Varchie scene that we've seen so far?

You know the first season when she was bandaging his arm after he got injured and you they sort of had that moment. I really liked that because you really saw Veronica sort of taking care of her man. And you saw how vulnerable he was to her. I liked that.

A lot of speculation about who Chic's dad is. Yes. So, have you heard any crazy fan theories so far?

It seems to all be very consistent that that he he FP is his dad. I haven't really heard any other Mädchen Amick: No, as far as I've heard, Yeah. full on FP Alice's kid.

Well, I think that's what the fans really want too. Mädchen Amick: Yes, they do.

I have three more words for you. Will Falice rise?

Yes. Slowly.

But is it but yes? That's not an entire like no?

No, it's not a yes. It's a I guess it's a slow maybe.

He said slowly. So, he didn't give me a yes or no, but you gave me a full on yes. I'm excited. Mädchen Amick: See, I commit. I'm not afraid.
