I'm Oliver Trevena with Young Hollywood. Back in London to take you behind the scenes of the Kingsman movie. Our first stop, The Black Prince Pub where Colin Firth, aka Harry Hart, first met Eggsy and started kicking some serious ass. Yes. I've never felt so at home. It's actually a real pub. This black cab is the one from The Kingsman movie. Yes, that's right. It's the one that Harry Hart sat in. Colin Firth was in this seat. You can see right now, we've got the Bremont watches, which is The Kingsman that you wear on your wrist. They're also in the cab. We've got the uh iPads, we've got a humidor, which is very important in case Harry Hart wants to have a little celebration cigar once he's killed a few people. Um, and of course we've got technology. But this is the state of the art cab. And now we've pulled up outside The Huntsman shop, which is actually The Kingsman tailor shop in the movie. And I'm going to go and get fitted in a suit. Yes, Stranger Things have happened. Mum, you're going to see me in a suit. I told you this day would come. Yes.

Guest

How does that feel?

Young Hollywood

Feels great. You're a lovely man.

Guest

A little tight through the shoulders, must from all that working out you've been doing.

Young Hollywood

Thank you, mate. Thank you. You noticed. Finally someone noticed. Right, so it's just tight on the shoulder. It's just 'cause you're getting.

Guest

Don't say it again.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. That's me. Muscles.

Guest

Well, you're gonna show a little bit of cuff.

Young Hollywood

Easy there, tiger. We just met.

Guest

I'll turn the pin around the other way, thank you. Yeah. Uh, we're gonna shorten that a small centimeter. Quarter centimeter.

Young Hollywood

Okay, got you. We deal in inches here.

Guest

This is true. We haven't moved to centimeters. Nor will we.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Have you seen it from the front in the mirror? I'm a fan.

Guest

It's a very close fitting coat. Looks good.

Young Hollywood

That's it. That's it. This is it. Done. We have to leave now. Yeah. Yeah. I thought we got on really well. Touching my back. Everything. We're really close. Easy, easy. This is good. It's good. Now, this is lovely. Thank you very much. You're doing amazing work. Amazing work. Tarron Egerton. Eggsy. Kingsman. It's amazing, isn't it?

Taron Egerton

Hello. Good. This is good, what you're just saying. It's a very small movie, you know, small cast, small cost. Um, humble, humble little film, but it's very cool.

Young Hollywood

How is that being the lead in a movie like this with a cast so huge? Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Mark Strong. Hello.

Taron Egerton

Um, I mean, all the things you'd expect really, kind of you know, um, overwhelming at times but incredibly exciting.

Young Hollywood

You are the guy behind everything that kills people and saves.

Guest

Well, supposedly, Matthew asked me to do certain things and and adapt everyday objects and then from the script and he says we want him to do this, do that and then we have to kind of work out Right. How we might pull it off.

Young Hollywood

When you first got the call to work on the movie, did you have any idea of what they wanted or how big this was going to be?

Guest

No, we kind of we had a sense of what the film was, the cartoon, you know, the comic and stuff, and you you get an idea, but we never had any idea what he was what he was going to go for. He takes what you think it's going to be and it does a whole another level.

Young Hollywood

It's on a Vorn level, isn't it? He goes up. That's what I'm going to do when we go out for dinner later. That's the next level. Okay. We'll talk about that next time. Um, working with Matthew Vorn, obviously, amazing. Um, when you're shooting a project like that and then seeing it for the first time. How how is that?

Taron Egerton

It was one of those times where you go to meet a director or you audition where you don't have to go and do any research because I was, you know, my I had all of his DVDs in my collection. Working with him is an amazing experience because he's someone with such a such a focus and such a clear vision about what he wants to achieve. Right. He knows the world he's trying to create. He knows exactly what he wants from the costumes to the sets to the props. So it's it's a really exciting experience. I mean, it's such a cool movie to be a

Guest

Oh, it's amazing. Yeah. Yeah. is a real thrill. Can you show me some of the pieces? Second guest: From the everyday, from the the umbrella, classic English, you know, umbrella, see it every day. See a black taxi every day. See it too much. See it too much. Obviously, it's raining. This one will keep you dry though. It's a real umbrella. Okay. Okay. Obviously, this one a little bit more special that we put a little pressure pad in, made a, you know, made it thing. The classic umbrella. Classic British lighter. Right. But we put power in it, we put lights in it, we made sort of little grenade ideas, taser ideas. So really taking everyday things and just making them a little bit

Young Hollywood

Different. Second guest: Special. Special. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

If you give me a pen like this at school, I might have paid more attention. Too late now. Too late. And obviously, the thing that I think every man likes is a really nice watch. Yes. So, you know, like Karate, you get different colour bands. Right. You get different types of watches. When you eventually end up a Kingsman, you get the special gold one. It's great. Yeah. Obviously, classic standard glasses, but obviously when you put them on, it takes you to a different place. Oh, wow. What do you go? Well, you're not wearing anything. So, they're both cool. Do you know they do that? That kind of. Second guest: Them kind of glasses.

Young Hollywood

Them kind of glasses. Classic glasses, they're British colour sixties feel. In the movie, you have these challenges to become a Kingsman. Um, you undergo the the dorm underwater, the dog training, the sniper. If in real life, you had to do them now, what would be your first pick? What would you enjoy the most?

Taron Egerton

What would I enjoy the most? If I knew I was going to survive it, Tarron in real life, a part of me would love to do a a sky dive. A sky dive. Because that is that, you know, that's just something I think everyone should do. But in real life, I think I'm too scared. I wouldn't want to be submerged again. Okay. Okay. Don't want to have to do that again.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I don't think your team around you even sky diving is an option. No. I've just seen the publicist in the corner there, she's like, no.

Taron Egerton

No, I don't think my publicist would want to do a sky dive. No. It's not going to happen.

Young Hollywood

In the movie, obviously, tailoring is a massive part. Has it made you rock a suit more? Has it made me literally, I watched the movie and I was like, I need to get a suit. I need to get a suit. I've been going wrong. That's it. That's the power of advertising. This is

Taron Egerton

It did it. You yours to own. There's a Kingsman line. Um,

Young Hollywood

Brilliant. Very subtle that one, wasn't it?

Taron Egerton

Very subtle, I think. I think that was great. That was great. I think, you know, when you when you've worn a suit that is that beautifully tailored and was made to measure, I mean, I I've never worn a suit. I haven't worn a suit like that since. You know, one day if I've got a bit more money, it would be lovely to have a response then.

Young Hollywood

I think they give you a discount, they should at least, right? Do you think? I think so. Well, there we are. That was That was a quite subtle hint. They're quite hardcore in here. I don't know. I don't know. Um, last question. In the movie at the beginning, you get the one phone call, right? You get your one phone call. That's it. Yeah. If I gave you one phone call now to phone anyone. Could be a legend, dead or alive.

Taron Egerton

I know who it is.

Young Hollywood

Do you?

Taron Egerton

I do know who it is. It would be David Bowie.

Young Hollywood

Okay.

Taron Egerton

It would be yeah, let's get him on the phone. In a heartbeat. Does anyone got his number? David Bowie.

Young Hollywood

Somehow, I doubt it. Surely he's been dressed. I don't think he'd want me to call him. No. No. Okay.

Taron Egerton

If I had up with his number, I'm going to go. I probably just say, you know,

Young Hollywood

What would you say?

Taron Egerton

That you're a genius, I thought you were great. something like that. And then just hang it up like that. Okay. David Bowie, that phone call ever happens. It's Tarron Egerton.
