Hey guys, what's happening? I'm Molly Argue for Young Hollywood and today I'm so excited because we are on the set of ABC's The Mayor. Okay. Look at these two handsome men that I've found. This is going to be fun. You're going to enjoy. You're going to see all these behind the scenes stuff like sets that are not fully ready yet. Oh hey. Look who's behind me. Hey. Liam Michelle with the smooth drive by. Oh hey. We have everyone here. You guys want to do run throughs like do a little practice?

I mean, so nice to meet you. Welcome to our world. Isn't this so cool? It's so I feel so official. I keep walking around like. Should I be whispering?

I know. You're the type of person that people want to just like put in their pocket and just have your energy.

I'm like a like a fidget spinner. You just want to put in your pocket and fidget around. I just came from a fitting and I I had I wore my official like pant suit. And I was like, "Yes." It feels so real. It does. I feel like I should be worried that I'm arrested for something or talking to somebody about something.

Yeah, we're so sorry. Whatever I did. Sorry about it. All right, where should we go next?

Okay, let's go. We're going to go into the rotunda. Okay, so now we're walking into the main Fort Grey rotunda. This is where anyone that comes into City Hall uh comes through these doors. So official. Really nice. Fort Grey. City the seal of the of Fort Grey. So official. Okay, so we're like in the main area like where the magic happens in the mayor's office. So this is where when someone's coming to see Courtney Rose and go to his office this is where they go. So these are the mayor's offices. I don't know if you can get a shot of this. Okay, so this is uh Liam Michelle's office. He's Valentina's office.

Well, you have to tell us a little bit about your character. I was complimenting you on the name, Valentina Barella. I love the name.

Yes. It's cool. But she is awesome. She is friends with Courtney Rose from high school and when he gets elected mayor uh she comes in as sort of the one who's the most obsessed with politics as sort of a little bit of the brains of the whole mission and to help mold him and help fully make him the best mayor that he can be.

Courtney Rose, hip hop artist gone mayor. Say it again. Hip hop artist gone mayor. Turned mayor. I should say. How's it going?

It's going really good. I'm loving it. I'm loving it. I get to come to work every day and play a character that uh I can learn more about myself uh through this little art form that we're doing. So uh yeah, it's really dope.

Your character. You play the Mama to the mayor. That's a big deal.

Yes. She had him very young, everybody. I know I look too young to be his mom.

I'm having the best time playing Valentina. This is such an incredible show with such a great premise and and cast and I'm just we're having such a blast. I have to I have to remind myself every day that this is a job.

I can tell. A lot of the playfulness that you see between Courtney and TK and Germain is built from the relationship that Marcel, Bernard and Brandon have together. Same thing with my relationship with Brandon. It's something that we organically have outside of the show that we bring to the show. So, pay attention to little things. A lot of times we're just doing stuff to make ourselves laugh. And if it happens to make America laugh, then that's great. And we're going to go now into the office where my son, Courtney Rose, lives. So come on, let's go into the mayor's actual office.

Ooh, this is nice. This is nice. Oh.

Do you think it's a big deal? If I'm missing nine times out of 10, it's because I'm on this couch taking a little nap. Because it's very comfortable. It is. So I live there. There's a lot of little cute little things. We took we did a photo shoot here where we showed where Courtney got sworn in. So I'm where the family unit on the show is Courtney, TK, Germain and Dina. This is this is squad goals right here. Squad goals. #squadgoals. #squadgoals. And just put it down there on the bottom of the screen. Squad goals.

It's Molly and the Boys. What are we doing? What are we doing? That could be a band name. Molly and the Boys. What would you play?

I'd be the singer. I would be the drums, I think. No, I wouldn't be the drums. I wouldn't be the drums. I'd be like the guitarist.

Guitarist.

Yeah, I'd be the guitar. He would do the bass.

I was about I was about to say if you got the drums, I was going to do the bass.

He could definitely do the bass.

I also have like a really funky tambourine.

I can see that. I can see that.

And I play I play a mean set of spoons.

And you're not going to be singing on this show. As of yet. As of yet. Okay, so fans can still cross their their fingers.

You just keep bothering Jeremy Bronson our creator on Twitter just 24/7 and just keep bugging him. Yeah, and I'm sure it'll happen if you do that.

Well, until then, we'll be listening to your album that's out now.

I'm really proud of the album and it was a really great summer and going on tour and getting to go to a couple places through the US was really exciting for me. I I like to use my summer hiatuses to to focus on my music and then when we're in filming season just focus on on filming. But I'm still doing

It's a good balance though.

Yeah, I'm still doing some concerts here and there, but I love the album. It was sort of the album I've always wanted to make just focusing on my voice.

If you choose anyone that's on set to actually run for the mayor. Ooh, who would you choose?

TK. Really? I think TK. I think it'd be funny to see TK in the mayor's seat because he would do some outlandish fun stuff.

I would choose Marcel because Marcel is the most charming and very flirty.

What do you think are the three most important leadership skills?

One, a heart for people. Number one is always have fun, you know. Number two is tone. I think the way that like the tone comes across to the people that you're talking to Uh it allows them to open up and share more things with you. That's two. Organizational skills. And three, a sense of humor. The last thing is to be a follower. I think a great leader is also a great follower. So.

I love that.
