Yeah, they, they made me get a little, little dapper today. They cleaned me up. Different than my military fatigue.

Your fans seem to really love your hair, and I can see why. It's, it's very coiffed, it's very nice. It even has, it even has its own Twitter account. Did you know that?

Yeah. Oh, I saw that. I don't follow it, but I don't follow your own hair on Twitter.

I don't follow my hair, but I was surprised at how, um, whoever's doing it does a pretty good job.

It's the last day of shooting for season two.

It is.

And tell me what you're feeling right now. Are you excited, are you?

I'm I mean, I'm I'm excited for a break. You know, it's always sad when it's the last day, cuz you don't know who's coming back and who's not coming back. Um, I, however, am only in uh two scenes at the beginning of the day. Um, and like, I kinda have to like stay longer cuz it's the last day, right? And then like to solidify that, Katie and I have carpooled here. And she's in one of the last scenes, so, um, I'm basically stuck here.

I'm with Lucas Grayville, otherwise known as Toby on the show, and we're going inside a set right now, right?

Yes. This is uh the What if episode's Daphne bedroom set.

Oh. A set that was built just for this one episode, which is pretty crazy. That was, now, now, now let's uh refresh a little bit. That episode was you called it the What if episode.

Yeah, that was when, um, it's a dream sequence of uh, John when he has a heart attack, and uh, what if he had, um, taken both of the girls at age three, and if Regina had come forward and said, "Hey, uh, I have the wrong child, you have the wrong child, let's switch," and he actually takes both of them. What uh, Daphne's bedroom would look like if, um, you know, she was raised by the Kenishes instead of the, uh, Regina.

Can we talk about Baity for a second, please?

Yes, we could talk about Baity.

Baity, yes. Their celebrity couple name, love it.

Well, because if it was like, it could be Tay, um, or if you just did the B and the A from Bay and just use his, it would be Bay again.

The relationship between Ty and Bay has had a lot of changes. It's, it's been a little up and down this season. Any, any hints you can give us as to where we'll be by the end of the season?

Uh, you know, I mean, that's, that's such a big one. People are gonna have to stick around and and watch it, find out for themselves, but uh, you know, he's, he's in, he's a military guy, so uh, they, you know, they, they stick to proper etiquette with, with that storyline and then show the challenges that they're both gonna face because of that.

Um, you have to do a lot of sign language on the show as does almost every other cast member here. How good is your sign language?

I would say it's pretty good. Yeah.

What's your favorite thing to sign?

Um, I don't know, there's a lot of really good signs. I think I learned helicopter yesterday, but of course I forgot it.

How do you do it? He's my boyfriend.

Yes. He's my boyfriend. Yeah. Like boys like a baseball cap. Oh. Right? Yeah. Okay. Girls like this, it's like supposed to be like a curl. Right. Yeah. You know. They make sense. A lot of them make sense. And then there are some that just don't like, I just don't understand. Like this is stiletto. Okay. What? One is stiletto. Cuz I like that one. Stilettos are awkward anyways, so you gotta make the sign a little awkward. And um, mosquito. Okay. Grass. Front yard. Uh, Long way from East Riverside. So,

Very impressed right here. Yeah, pretty good. Expert level. Today's the last day of shooting.

Uh-huh.

And you know, what does that feel like? Are you just like raring to go? You ready to take a vacation? Are you kind of sad?

Yeah, yeah, kind of. I mean, uh it's both. It's all of that. Oh, I tweeted today that I was about to cry. Just because, I mean, you know, you never know if there's gonna be a season three. Hopefully there's a season three, viewers, just let ABC Family know if you want there to be a season three. And hopefully, you know, we'll come back and and and things will be great. But, you know, you never really know. So, it's sort of like the last day of school where you're excited, but sad and just, you know,

It's kind of bitter sweet.

Bitter sweet exactly.

Do you have any plans for afterwards? Going on a vacation?

No vacation. I, I feel like work's gonna come. I don't know what the work's gonna be, but something's coming. I'm gonna take a few trips. Going to my ten year high school reunion. It's gonna be interesting.

Nice. You teach them, you know, all the sign language you know now.

Yeah, exactly. Um, and uh, yeah, just kinda get out of uh, town for a little while.

Now, is there anything in here that either of you would would maybe wanna keep as a souvenir?

I may or may not be taking these pants home. I do like, no, I'm kidding. Uh, I'm not. Uh, maybe Ty's dog tags.

I have a really cool lava lamp in my music studio that is I think is from the period. So that would be cool. It's, it's so gross. It looks like little, you know, fetuses um, forming um, from alien or something.

I I have a thing where I keep props from the show. So like, the Falkner's Mistress book, I have like in my office at home. And you know, like I have um, from season one uh, where we did the, the basketball game and there was like a pendant that said Carlton. Um, and I have that like in my we just have I love keeping props.

So you're a klepto. That's what you're saying.

Well, I always I usually get approval, but yes, I I like

Kind of a set klepto.

Yeah. Set klepto. But here's the thing about Blair Redford, right? Great actor, lovely guy, really pretty, awesome hair. So, so awesome hair. Has its own Twitter account. Did you know this?

Oh, I did.

Well, I used to I I sometimes make fun of Blair cuz he used to have the one hair. And so Katie and I started calling him one hair. So he's like so pretty and we're doing that scene and it's like, you know, we gotta, you know, and then whatever and then it's just like, and when you're doing a scene with somebody who's like a little bit prettier than you, just a little bit. But like, like because he is, it's just like, ah, I just, whatever. I feel like. Whatever.

How did you, how did you like kind of keep that in check?

I didn't keep it in check. I was like, you're prettier than I am.

I am on the set of Switched at Birth and about to get an exclusive inside tour with none other than Vanessa Morano. She is. She is. We are in the Kennish living room which has been completely taken down because it's now Video Village. Oh, look at Video Village. That's Valor for Saidie and Alissa our script supervisor, and they're doing very important work right now over sandwiches. And it's great. Which is how most important work is done.

Absolutely.

We got all the chairs here. You know, of the important people. This is the Kennish bar area. Oh, oh, okay. Where John and Katherine enjoy um, you know, cocktail hour. A beverage or two. And then going this way, we can see the kitchen where they're shooting. And they're moving things because they're shooting. And this is the backyard. So, yeah, like it's supposed to be outside, but it's actually inside. Don't tell anybody. Except everyone who's watching us right now. Um,

You just did.

This is my favorite part of the backyard, by the way. Is um, this because this is um a balance beam that is keeping the whole, not balance beam, but basically it's stabilizing the whole building. It is holding up this warehouse and so they couldn't remove it. So they had to make it into a tree. It looks like a good tree. Like this is, this is solid. Like this is serious.

Oh, no. It's not actually. It's really squishy. It's actually foam. It's like memory foam. It's not. That would be cool though if you like just hit it and you're like your hand print was just like right there.
