Young Hollywood

Hi, this is Brendan with Young Hollywood and we're here at the set of Disney XD's Lab Rats. Let's go check it out.

Young Hollywood

How old were you when you first started on the show?

Guest

When I first started on Lab Rats, I think I was 14. 13 or 14.

Young Hollywood

So I heard so you do your um stunts?

Guest

I do all my own stunts.

Young Hollywood

You don't have anyone to do them for you?

Guest

Mm-mm.

Young Hollywood

You do all of them. Like

Guest

For the most part, we all do our own stunts. Yeah, except for like if you do flips or whatever. Well, I can do flips. I like doing my own stunts, but if if it's too dangerous or I'll get cut up, then I would let somebody else do that.

Young Hollywood

But how did you do the submarine one? Was it like a background?

Guest

Yeah, we filmed that in a like an Olympic-sized swimming pool and they dropped like a black screen behind it so they could kind of fill in and make it look like it was an ocean. Yeah. Um, and then what I would do is they would swim in a breathalyzer, I think it's called. Yeah. And um, I would be underneath and they just let me breathe underwater. So I would stay underwater for probably 15 minutes at a time, which is a really weird feeling being able to breathe and have your lungs filled with oxygen when you're so deep underwater. Yeah. It was really fun. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

So, I heard that you could vocal manipulate.

Guest

Yes.

Young Hollywood

So, let's see who can vocal manipulate better. Okay. Let's try to do like an old grandpa, okay?

Guest

Okay, you go first.

Young Hollywood

Okay, okay. Like, Oh, get off my lawn, man. Get off my lawn.

Guest

You could do the thing with like, "Hey, man. I'm just trying to eat my cereal." You could do like a valley girl.

Young Hollywood

Oh, yeah, yeah. Like, "Oh my God, I need to go shopping." I need to buy my new shoes. My favorite color is pink. You could do that one. That one's kind of easy though.

Guest

Yeah. Cuz I am from California, so. I am.

Young Hollywood

Your hair. I love your hair on the show. How do you like get it up like that? I try. I see I try, see.

Guest

Well, I don't do it.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I like it. No, you did a good job.

Guest

I don't do it myself. You did a better job than I did. Um, lucky for me, I have someone who does my hair because I don't know what I would do if I didn't. Mm-hm. Um, yeah. I mean, it's very Chase. Chase is kind of uh, some people would describe him as nerdy. I wouldn't. Uh, because he's very cool. Uh, he might have a little trouble with the girls cuz he's a little nervous sometimes, but um, he's super intelligent. At the end of season three, basically, we have discovered that Crane has made this Bionic Army of kids that we had no idea we were going to have to battle. So, there's this big final battle in the middle of this junkyard area, and we end up defeating Crane, but we have all these kids who have bionics, and we're like, well, now that their Triton app has been shut off, we want to turn them into good kids like us, how we use our bionics for good things and saving people. So, basically, we take them into this training academy where Davenport, me, and Chase and Adam, and even Leo, we all help them kind of learn about their powers and how to use them for good things. And so, that kind of extends into season four, and we get to show them what it's like to be a superhero.

Young Hollywood

Does there any secrets about season four?

Guest

Secrets about season four. Well, being that season four hasn't aired yet, I don't know that there's much I can give away. I can tell you, however, that in season four, we have a bad guy, and he's he's pretty naughty, and uh, the Lab Rats are going to have to take care of business. We're going to be a few fight scenes, uh, which are always my favorite because I like to do my own stunts.

Young Hollywood

So, who do you think is the biggest prankster on like the show?

Guest

I think the biggest prankster on set is Spencer.

Young Hollywood

Who said that? Oh, like everyone. Everyone said that. Yeah. So, like, what's your best prank you've ever pulled, problem?

Guest

We tinfoiled Kelly actually helped me on this one. I don't know if she told you. We tinfoiled Billy's dressing room once. Oh my gosh. Yes, we got like 20 things of tinfoil, and we just wrapped his entire dressing room in tinfoil.

Young Hollywood

So, let's take a look at your.

Guest

Okay. This is my mission suit that I wore, I think, so season two, and all the way up until season four. Usually I have like a belt that goes right here with the Lab Rats logo on it. And I wear my tall black leather boots and my gray gloves, but this is it. It's like a it's like a stretchy Yeah, it could stretch. like wetsuit material. Yeah. So, it keeps me very warm, and with all those hot lights on set, sometimes it does get a little sweaty, but you deal with it.

Young Hollywood

What's your like favorite band?

Guest

I love the Stones. I haven't seen them. I've seen uh, Aerosmith. I've seen Guns N' Roses. A bunch of different bands. Van Halen. Nice. I love all those bands. I own a T-shirt from every single one of them.

Young Hollywood

Let's do arm wrestle.

Guest

You want to do it right now?

Young Hollywood

Yeah.

Guest

Oh, jeez, I haven't warmed up, man.

Young Hollywood

Are you ready?

Guest

Yeah, yeah, yes.

Young Hollywood

Are you ready? Okay, ready? Go. Really? Oh, dude, you're stronger than I am. You work out? Jeez, man, that hurt.
